We went for an early dinner here while staying at the hotel. The sign said to seat yourself. We went to a window table and then waited 5 to 10 minutes for someone to come to our table. The server gave us menus and left. When she came back, we ordered appetizers, and she started walking off right as we started to order. She came back, took the rest of our order, and said we would have to wait 18 minutes for the appetizer. We were fine with that. The appetizer, which was the Tuscan crab dip with garlic bread, was amazing. When our food arrived, I was shocked as I ordered the Jumbo Coconut Shrimp off the appetizer menu, and had increased the order to 6 Jumbo Coconut Shrimp. They were the smallest shrimp I had ever had. I've had Jumbo Shrimp many times, so I knew they were tiny. The shrimp was really good. My husband had the grilled salmon and said it was delicious. Our original server disappeared after taking our order. We had someone else help us, and she was wonderful. Even with the tiny shrimp, everything was delicious.
We Celebrated our"17th"Anniversary here for dinner tonight. Our Server was very prompt even as she was busy. Our food was fabulous and cooked to perfection.
We will DEFIANTLY revisit. The view was not the best due to all the fires filling the air. Didn't effect a thing at all tho. Wonderful Place.
Really liked the salmon chowder. The food was pretty good for the price and location.
My family and I had brunch here. The food was tasty if not a little expensive, but then again what isn't nowadays. Our services was excellent and the food showed up reasonably fast. I would eat here again.
First time coming to the Crow's Nest on Clover Island. Our server Amanda was great! I ordered the Cheesesteak sandwich with fries and my fiancée ordered the Ruben and fries. My Cheesesteak was HOT and had a great flavor to it. My fries, however, were WAYYYY over salted. Amanda did great by getting a replacement order unsalted for me and I salted them myself. My fiancée said her Ruben sandwich was kind of flavorless but her fries weren't over salted like mine. And it wasn't just me she tried my fries after I complained and agreed that they were extremely salty. So not sure what is going on in that kitchen. The first order of fries were luke warm and it took quite a while for our order to get to the table. So although our dining experience wasn't the greatest we will give them another chance to shine in the future.
Food was pretty good. Loved the shrimp cocktail and salsa verde. The ahi tuna steak was overcooked though – almost medium instead of rare. The place is a bit dimly lit, but you do get great views of the water and sunset too if your timing is right. Apparently our server was taking orders, serving and bartending all on her own... impressive!!
Little bit older feel inside. We had made a reservation for 18 days before, but the server was unaware and said they normally didn't serve parties of this size. I was worried. However, no problem for our amazing servers! They got right in there and moved tables around for us, seating everyone right away. Servers were cheerful and helpful. The food was so amazing! Everyone really enjoyed themselves and the environment was excellent. Quiet enough so we could hear each other speak. We had a long lovely birthday dinner and drinks. We would definitely go back to celebrate here!
The service was fantastic. Our server (I wish I could remember her name, she was blonde with a butterfly tattoo on her wrist) was very friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the crab melt, and it was delicious. I chose the soup and salad as sides, and everything was good. The view was great. I can't say enough good things about the place. We will definitely be going back.
Staying at The Clover Island Inn. 2 floors up from our room. Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches were awesome and the mozzarella sticks 😜. Ordered 2 long islands to go!! I can't wait to go back for the food!!! Servers were so friendly!
Whole staff everywhere is there to accommodate their customers. Old School Marina feel to the whole place. Clean. Complimentary breakfast has different choices everyday. If the airport shuttle can't take you to the airport they will call you a cab or take you personally! Views are awesome. Great place to take a stroll.
The clam chowder was the best I have ever had. Crab did was amazing. It was a great find. The service was on point. I will definitely bee going back again.
Great food, the people that come in always have incredible stories. Staff is absolutely amazing! The hotel has events Wednesdays so there is something to do. Coast Guard across the street gives you a feeling of safety. Definitely coming back as it was a more than enjoyable experience.
Also it's located on the 4th floor of the hotel and overlooks the river, if you don't come for the food, the view is nearly the next best thing!
Table was reserved for three and even had a third seat but it lacked actual placement for our third person. Had to ask three times for all that was needed. Menu... silverware and then finally asked for a water. Granted the place was quite full... it just seemed as if our server was either very new or maybe not very good with multitasking. It took ages to get an appetizer and then our food... the drinks were initially very timely. Refills to come afterwards... not so much. The food was incredible... prime rib was seasoned and prepared beautifully as was the salmon. The environment was clean and festive making it a great place to enjoy the boat show. So all in all it was a pleasurable experience. I just wish the server had been a bit more attentive to our table.
Very nice dinner.. staff was super nice.. checked on ya a couple times, but for the most of the time left us alone for us to talk and hang out.. food was delivered in a timely manner..a little spendy, but worth the views..
We go here a lot, they always have good food and the service is great too.
