My husband and I went in there yesterday for lunch. There are not enough words to describe how incredible it was. We sat in a wonderful corner by the window and our waiter was Max. His customer service was exceptional and his wine recommendation for the foods we ordered was impeccable. Every tapas brought to us was cooked to perfection with favors that tantalized your pallet. Each course was appropriately spaced; I never had to ask for water once (which is a pet peeve for me) Max came to the table periodically to check on us. Toward the end of our meal, he recommended a desert ( which I never would have chosen on my own) that topped off our meal perfectly. I would have to say that I have not had a dinning experience on this level in a long time and would highly recommend this restaurant as a must for your Key West Experience.
Great place! We sat outside which I was happy about. Some large very noisy groups inside.
The food was delicious! We ordered way to much, 5 plates was more than enough for 2 people.
Highly recommend this spot.
Hesitating if this is the best restaurant in the US I have ever been to (definitely) or in the world. Every single dish was sooooo good. Best ribs I ever ate. Best patatas bravas I ever ate... and so on. Oh and try the sparkling Sangria too.
Great food, great atmosphere, great staff. They recommend 2 tapas per person which is more then enough! We had a great evening.
My wife and I stopped in during our visit to Key West and we loved it! The cold and hot tapas dishes were equally amazing! The stuffed dates with goat cheese and prosciutto were incredible! The beef tenderloin melted in your mouth, the salmon carpaccio was fantastic, and the asparagus was delicious! Every dish was perfect and we definitely will be going back next time we are in Key West!
We were a group of 6 with a variety of eaters. Two of the guys swore the didn’t care for tapas because they never get enough to eat. By the end of the night we were all STUFFED!!! The food was amazing and our server Brooke was awesome!!
Great service! Delicious food. I’ve never had anything that wasn’t delicious- they make me want to eat my green beans everyday! Just a helpful hint- the beef tenderloin is so good- don’t bother sharing it- everyone must have their own!
We have been dining at Santiago’s for about 4 years now. It’s one of our favorite places to dine when we visit Key West!! Everything on the menu is made with attention to detail & care!! The red sangria is tasty!! Try it out. You won’t be sorry!
Awesome dinner, awesome sangria. The beef tenderloin is amazing. One of the best restaurants in Key West.

Four of us had dinner here tonight, and the food was by far the best we have had in our many trips to Key West! Everything we ordered was fabulous!
I have been there a few times and it was amazing every time. Love the sangria and bacon wrapped mushrooms.
Wonderful experience this evening enjoying the tapas and of course happy hour. My wife really enjoyed the sparkling sangria and I traveled around the world with their impressive beer menu. For dessert we enjoyed the magnificent bread pudding with rum sauce. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended. We will definitely be coming back.
Happy hour specials 3-6 is a $5 menu & 1/2 price beer and wine. Good food quick service. If you don't want to sit at bar make a reservation even at 4 pm.
We were there nearly a year ago and loved this amazing restaraunt. Nice to see they are still getting amazing reviews a year later!
I would highly recommend lunch or dinner there!
I seldom hand out 5.0 ratings, but Santago's Bodega earned top ratings in our book, following a fantastic dinner our group of 7 experienced one weeknight in December.
I love tapas, but the prices typically add up quickly. The nice thing about Santiago's is that several of the menu items could easily be shared by up to three people. The salads, in particular, are essentially presented "family style". Ours allowed 3 people to have generous portions. The carpaccio was also well presented, and filled a 12 inch plate.
Three dishes per person will satisfy most appetites, and prices per item average about $10. That's not bad for tapas.
Best of all, the food is uniformly delicious. We enjoyed a curry chicken dish, which was one of several chef specials offered the night of our visit. It wasn't overly spicy, but was well prepared and full of flavor. We also sampled, and loved the meatballs and pasta as well as the spanakopita. The latter dish was so good we almost ordered a second round.
The restaurant is smallish, which is typical for Key West. It is located in the heart of Bahama Village. This is basically a come-as-you-are place, but it is not unusual to see diners dress up a bit. Seating is offered both indoors and outdoors.
Service was professional, attentive and helpful. The wait staff really knows their stuff here.
We enjoyed many great meals while in KW. But Santiago's has rocketed to the top of our "must eat" list for dinner.
Had a party of 8 for dinner. Reserved it on open table. We ordered a pitcher of sangria. Had a large variety of cold and warm tapas. Each one was better than the rest. I would highly recommend. Best meal we had in key west.
Yay! Key West Pride 2015! Santiago's Bodega is a really laid-back cafe slightly off the tourist trail. Expect a crowd most any day, especially on weekends. Yeah, reservations are suggested for peak times. We snuck in when they were not busy. ;-)
People who have followed my reviews over the years know that I am a fan of "chicken-on-a-stick." The Chicken Skewers here are very good. They come with a lemon tarragon sauce, which was quite tangy and tasty. I sampled the Roman Meatballs from a friend's plate, and they were good, as well.
Absolutely amazing food! Off the beaten path but worth the walk. The beef tenderloin melts in your mouth. Had 4 plates, all delicious.

Pleasantly Surprised!. I had been wanting to try this place for a few days but none of my friend trusted it due to the location. It is in a not so pretty spot, but that is just one of the things that makes this place wonderful. this place was so great I had to write my first review ever. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is so friendly. The host, who appeared to be the owner or manager, said bye to every single person that walked out of the restaurant, even those sitting outside. Our server Allen was very nice and attentive. We ordered sangria, bruchetta, shrimp and chorizo, and croquetas. The Sangria is not your typical sweet red wine with some fruit, It was not very sweet but the fresh fruit definitely made up for it. The bruchettas were fresh tomatoes, basil pesto on a crunchy baguette slice, very fresh taste. Shrimp and chorizo, need I say more? The croquetas were not the usual cylindrical ones, they looked more like a patty but were not any less delicious, and even little spicy. The price was great as well, definitely better than anything you could find on Duval street. I would certainly recommend!
Definitely go here! Our se.... Definitely go here!
Our server Allen was fantastic, good was delicious. Service was seem less in a very relaxed atmosphere. We did three courses of small plates and each time our table was cleaned/reset/fresh plates & silver. Attention to detail is important.
Great Place. I love this quaint little place. Food is awesome. I love being able to get a lot of different dishes. I love the décor. I had my b-day party there during season and there were about 8-10 of us. The service was amazing. It's off Duval and also has a "locals" during the off season. Do make a reservation.
Escape Duval. We enjoyed every dish we tried, so it's hard to pick a favorite. I strongly recommend reservations, as the place was buzzing on the Tues. after Easter. FYI: beer & wine only.
You must come here if you are in Key West. You need reservations but it is worth it. The short ribs and beef tenderloin are amazing
Great food and better than most food on Duval. Excellent tapas and great setting. Loved the staff and the food.
Great food. The food was great. Definitely recommend making a reservation. We visited during the "slow season," and our concierge didn't think we would need one. We ended up with a one-hour wait (slow season), so we just decided to sit at the bar...no biggie! It was our last night, and we were planning on going out to the bars that night, so we just wanted some good food. We had already had all of our "romantic" dinners. This was a fun, casual place to eat. The only problem for me, was that they didn't serve any Bud Light (or Budweiser). Most people probably wouldn't care about that, but since we were going-out that night, we had already started on beer, and planned on continuing the Bud Light there:) They had lots of different beer, though. Just not Bud. Overall, great food, fun, casual, cool atmosphere. I'd definitely go again.
Delicious food with a wonderful staff serving everything fresh even late into the evening. It is worth venturing away from Duval street for this yummy haven. We went there on a Saturday night way past our 2 year old daughters bed time. She was a handful but the staff was great with her and the food was amazing. Two specials of scallops in a roasted garlic purée and truffled scalloped potatoes, short ribs basil bacon wrapped mushrooms, bread pudding, and home made sangria later they were kind enough to call us a cab. We will go back there and to there new Orlando location as often as possible!
Great food, i did enjoy all .... Great food, I did enjoy all of my dinner selections but the prices are a tad high for what I expect to pay for tapas portions. The wine list isn't very diverse but adequate and it too is a little higher priced than standard restaurant wine mark up rates for the same vintages. Over all I enjoyed my dinning experience. After all it is Key West and I am on vacation. I am going to walk off dinner and head to "Better than Sex" for dessert.

Salads are huge and entrees are small. Small plates but HUGE flavor. Romantic setting, array of wines! I suggest that two people order a salad and share 4 tapas! You will not regret the flavor of each and every dish!
Hidden Gem. Take a 3 block walk off Duval for this little gem! The tapas was Superb! I think the three of us had about 7-8 different tapas/tapii? :). The lamb patties were deliciously seasoned, quesadillas fabulous, the chicken skewers had a yummy dipping sauce.... Everything great including the service!!
Totally awesome! Cannot say enough great things about Santiago's. We visit KW twice a year and always visit here at least once each time. We have tried most of the tapas and they are all excellent. This is a "must" place to eat. Sangria is awesome as well!
This place is unbelievable. One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Lovely ambiance, great service and the food is outstanding. Have the lamb patties and the beef short ribs
A friend recommended Santiagos to us. We loved it! The food and service were both outstanding. The best food we've had in Key West. Were In fact, we're going back again tomorrow. Make sure you make a reservation though.
Food and service were both outstanding. Best restaurant in Key West.
Great experience. We enjoyed our evening here. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was delicious. It was crowded early in the evening during the off season. Recommend reservations.
Amazing Dates, cheese and pita bread, avocado and pear salad!!!
The food was good (wouldn't say great), but service was lacking. The restroom was out of toilet paper, a server dropped a glass behind us which shattered and hit me and another server was in such a hurry that he ran into me on my way to the restroom and didn't even stop to acknowledge it. We waited over 30 minutes for our last tapas.

The steak with blue cheese and lamb patties were delicious. Fantastic service and great atmosphere.
Wow!. I was shocked. Some of the best tapas I have ever had. Highly recommend. Just make sure if you reserve a table online you call to specify indoors or out. Hostess was not very friendly.
Went here on a Monday night. Place was full but we were seated within a few minutes. Don't miss the white Sangria, clean and fresh taste. The Saginaga Cheese plate is awesome. So is the pork skewer and the tenderloin. The dates w bacon were great. Was not impressed with the Tuna Ceviche, I guess I'm more used to the lemony taste of the Peruvian Ceviche.
Nice tapas place if not the only one in key west. Nice atmosphere and food is amazing. Como la madre patria
Totally awesome food. Great service too. Definitely try the pinches morunos -pork skewers. Yummy!!!
Food was delicious; service was adequate but not the most friendly
Saw the positive reviews and decided to try this place. Had 3 tapas and all were delicious. Service great and atmosphere cool. I would def come back.
Delicious food. Been a couple of times, and everything I've eaten has been good. Of course some things better than others, but all good. Great atmosphere and good service.
Best food I've eaten in years. Must try the pork! Great service.
Super!. Gave it a try and we were ecstatic at the results. One member of our party was vegetarian and there was plenty to please her as well as those of us meat eaters. Tenderloin with Blue Cheese was outstanding, as were most dishes. To drink, the Sangria was excellent and reasonably priced. Full meal for four with drinks came in at $115.00. Unheard of in Key West for this quality of food.
This place was awesome! Will go again for sure. Loved the Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche. We had the Mussels and Frog Legs. The Frog Legs weren't. Fried and came in an awesome garlic/wine sauce that was perfect for dipping the Sourdough Rolls in!
Great menu with good portion sizes for tapas. Salad was definitely sized for sharing. Favorite dish was the cheese flambéd in brandy.
One of the best on the Island. Be sure to make an rsvp as it's relatively small but a must go! Been multiple times and haven't had a bad dish yet.
Off the beaten path, but so worth it!! Everything was amazing! Must order the Saganaki and White Sangria.
Delicious!!!. My husband and I were in Key West for a week, and this is the only place we decided to go more than once. The food at Santiago's Bodega is FABULOUS. All of it. We had the lamb burgers, lamb chops, roman meatballs, grouper, bruchetta, asparagus, and a few others. All amazing. The atmosphere is casual but elegant. You could be comfortable wearing anything. Prices are fair, too. I recommend this place to anyone - we absolutely loved it! Can't wait to go again on our next visit to Key West!
Well worth visiting. The food was very good, the sangria delicious and refreshing. A little out of the way but worth the detour
This place is absolutely amazing!! My wife and I have been there twice on this trip and it never fails to impress. A fun and well-rounded menu and a very good cuisine-appropriate wine list make Santiago's a must for any traveller who loves great food. Thank you for being awesome!!
This was our second time at Santiago's Bodega and we were not dissapointed. The service was fantastic and the food was amazing although the portion sizes are a little small. Try the bread pudding, you won't regret it.
Great tapas restaurant! Try white sangria and the mushrooms. Eclectic tapas place off the beaten path with a great staff.
Fantastic! Found this gem on urbanspoon and couldn't have been happier. Great food, great service and is a must eat!
Good. Pretty little restaurant. Staff was very nice. Food was very good, nothing that special but it was still fun ordering and eating all the tapas. The sangrias were very weak. Best thing we ate was the bread pudding. Not sure I'd go back but worth a visit once. Definitely make reservations as we saw tons of people turned away for not having reservations.
Good food. A little pricey for lunch but food was very good.
I go back twice every trip!. I can't wait to eat at Santiago's in a few weeks when I return to Key West. Consistent, quality and delicious food. I got the tip from a local a few years back when I was with my husband. We like to go where the locals go. It was the best tip we ever got. Seasoned Grouper, hummus, filet, Sangria, stuffed dates and on and on. The salads are large and I recommend sharing. Enjoy!
Best restaurant in Key West. My personal favorite place to eat in Key West. The variety in the menu and the superb flavoring make each trip a wonderful experience.
Randall. The best. Tapas are excellent, killer white sangria...a gem
Intimate, Gourmet! Absolute favorite of mine!. So before you go to have dessert 1 block down at Better Than Sex. Eat your dinner here. Out standing Gourmet food.
The flavors are so rich, and the dishes are one of a kind on the island. Pricey because of KW. But really is worth it for the quality you receive. Small intimate setting, feels and looks very upscale. I recommend everything here. My husband always orders some type of steak or lamb which are both exquisite. And I enjoy the salad with the pears pecans and cheese.
Small Plates, Large Flavors. Santiago's Bodega is a little off the beaten path, which we have discovered is a good thing. The tapas were outstanding, the wine reasonably priced, and the service was friendly. Its a small place so reservations are a good idea.
Went here for lunch on a Sunday so it wasn't busy and we were seated right away but it's a small place with limited seating so I would call ahead during peak times. Food was pretty good but service was not very attentive.
Lovely sangria and amazing food selection and quality. Amazing spot to relax and chat with friends.
Go for the sangria!. What a place! Santiago's is one of a kind. A local took us for some sangria and we ended up eating just about one of everything on the menu. The mini quesadillas and all of the salads were awesome!
Food was great, but no buzz from sangias despite having 10 pitchers in group of 12. Not sure any alcohol at all in mix.
Fabulous food, haven't had a single menu item that wasn't wonderful. My top two picks are the Avocado and Pear Salad and the Saganaki.....yum! Be sure to order the Bread Pudding for a fabulous finish!
Santiago's is a diamond in the rough. It is a quaint little place tucked away in what seemed like a run-down part of Key West. Overall the dining experience was great. The dates are not to be missed! I might go back someday and order several plates of just those, and I will order a pitcher of the white sangria instead of just a glass. My two complaints are the service and the lamb chops. The server had a hard time remembering what we ordered as it came out of the kitchen, and the lamb chops were abysmal...avoid them at all costs! Overcooked lamb is a waste. Despite these two issues on my visit, I would still recommend Santiago's as a unique place to dine.
One of my favorite Key West restaurants, a real diamond I'm the rough. Some of the best tapas I've ever had, plus you won't break the bank. Very highly reccomnended.
Great, intimate atmosphere. Excellent service and unique menu. Of all the tapas fad restaurants in which we've dined, they have the best bread pudding. Get a reservation and enjoy a glass of decent wine.
Make a reservation. Small place amd you can't get in without the reservation. Awesome food. Pricey because you have to buy 2-3 tapas per person, so it adds up, nbut it is all amazing, and fun. A definite must go in Key West, even popular with the locals.
Great wine selection and good assortment of tapas goodness. Dark and noisy enough for a date night. If we make it back to KW we will hit the place again.
... we strike out for a tapas place called Santiago’s Bodega ... As the Brussel Sprouts appear, we realize there will be no second order of tacos for dessert as we’re both getting full. Indeed, we‘re unable to even finish the veggies, which is a shame because they’re damn good. The sprouts are sweet and crunchy, oven roasted with a balsamic glaze, pine nuts and Parm.
This is a decent choice for lighter fare, as it is basically a soup/salad/tapas menu. They have a pretty good Happy Hour as well. Dine inside or outside with the roaming chickens. We were not especially impressed by 4 of the 5 items we ordered. The creamy gazpacho was quite good, however, if a bit over the top with capers.
Best tapas I’ve had outside of Spain! Every dish is beautifully created with intense flavor, fresh ingredients, and inviting presentation!
We made reservations online for two by a window at 7:30 PM. We arrived at 7:00 PM and were seated immediately, by a window, as requested.
Our server " Arene" took our order and the meal was bought to us, one by one. We began with a cup of the spicy shrimp bisque soup (very spicy, but good), then the tuna ceviche (extremely lemony), tomato and basil bruschetta (really good!,) Beef Short ribs (very good), special of the day ( fried yellow tail with rice pilaf)... Delish, brussel sprouts ( ate one piece and hated it, but Arene was nice enough to remove from our check), croissant bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream (it's a must!).
This was the first time that we had eaten at
Santiago's Bodega, even though we enjoyed most of all our selections, with the exception of one, it's not a restaurant that I will be writing home about. We found the menu to be very simple with just a few selections. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, but were confused with the fact that we kept on getting our neighbors food. The only good thing about that error, was that we got to meet a couple from West Palm Beach, who sat next to us, and had us in stitches, of how funny they were. They were there celebrating Stevens birthday.
I was a little disappointed that no one gave him a free desert or even sang happy birthday to him ( this would have been such a nice and memorable gesture! If you plan on visiting Santiago's Bodega for a birthday celebration, you might want to reconsider.
All in all, Santiago's Bodega was a cozy restaurant, with simple food selection and not so bad if you just want to hang out and have some tapas. Then this is a cool hang out, but not a fancy place to go to for a full course meal
Tenderloin, cheese plate, meatballs and half price wine at happy hour were all great. We didn't like the bland, fatty, mushy ribs that others strangely brag about. Inside decor is dark and poorly decorated. Restroom is a hot box.
Diverse and done very, very well.
The Roman meatballs would make most Italian restaurants blush. The short ribs would make many Asians reconsider their life choices. Salmon carpaccio might be the star of the whole show. And the rest? Too good to go on.
Really, a diverse tapas menu that’s executed so well. The switch gears like an F1 car - fast and with precision.

If you're in Key West, you must make a stop in Santiago's. I love tapas! We ordered almost every hot tapas. Everything was delicious. Just go, you'll be pleased. Order the short ribs!! Prices are fair, staff is friendly and dress is nice casual. I suggest reservations as it's a very popular place.
Lovely place, went in with no expectations for tapas in keywest. The ambiance is nice, our server Juan was GREAT! The food was good for the most part. Many good vegetarian options. Our favorite we’re the Burrata with bread service, churrasco, short rib. The mushroom puff pastry was good lacked a lil flavor. The tuna ceviche was off, maybe the peice a were too think and didn’t take the lime juice well, papas bravas are not the move, the flavors didn’t mesh
Five stars all the way. Every bite was exceptional. We ate around 6pm. We had reservations so it went fast. The drink selection was good however it is limited to beer and wine. The food may be the best I’ve had in the Keys. I will be back and I’ll dream about it until I return. Don’t miss this opportunity
Amazing and delicious! We did tapas to experience a little of most plates. Simply delightful. It was an extremely hot and humid day in Key West, so being able to sit inside (AC) as a walk in made our experience even better. Service on point and knowledgeable. Music and ambiance give New Orleans vibes.

One of my more memorable dining experiences. Every single thing we had was top shelf. The shrimp bisque was the show stealer. The depth of flavor in that bowl is endless. The short ribs had like this sweet hoisin glaze that had just the right amount of heat. The potatoes Bravas were great, had a hot sauce kind of taste to them.. hard to describe but really killer. The beef carpaccio was excellent and the ender, the saganaki was fire (no literally they lit it on fire). Best meal of my trip down to Key West.
