The food was very good, but not as good as the height. We'd heard before visiting this place. The cinnamon rolls were outstanding. The service was okay. The servers were relatively friendly, but not the best ever at service. Nice location right near the park and ocean. Free parking is available around the neighborhood and in a parking lot nearby.

The food pictures don't do this place justice. The food is delicious. Dont be intimidated by the lone. It goes by fast while youre figuring out what to eat. They have the Perfect system in the sense that you look at the menu while you're in line. You order & pay first. You get your food & then they sit you. Everything we ordered was delicious. My only disappointment was the cinnamon buns. You see them come out fresh but they are not warmed up when they are served to you. Still tasty but idk maybe just me but it would have been perfect warmed up.

This place was SO GOOD! I love this place and definitely will be going back! I split the pancakes with bananas and macadamia nuts and the supreme burrito. They had a really good coconut syrup that was outstanding. The food, service, and atmosphere were 10/10. Amazing place I recommend and will be going back to.

Went here on our trip last year and ate here multiple times during our stay since it was local to our stay and also had some delicious breakfast! Has an outside patio to dine in at with a park and the beach right across the street worth walking for the sunrise/sunset. Stop by and get some good grub while you’re here

We had some great breakfast here! Steak and eggs, waffles, and macadamia nut and banana pancakes with coconut syrup! Best breakfast on our trip in Maui!

PROS: - The (enormous) cinnamon rolls are premade, so you can eat them while you wait for your order. They are very good, although the outside is a bit crunchier than you might hope. - The service is incredibly efficient. We sat down around 9:38, having placed our orders already, and food arrived at 9:42. - The food is really good. My wife got the Surfer Dude breakfast sandwich, which was gigantic and delicious. She couldn’t finish it. My 2x2x2 had bacon (thick, crunchy), eggs (standard), and French toast (thick, soft, yummy). CONS: - The wait. It wasn’t as bad as we thought. Got there just before 9 AM, and while the line was long, we were seated with orders placed by 9:38. - No free water! If you want water, you have to pony up for Aquafina bottles. Just give me free tap water, please! - Worst of all, the bugs. The line is outdoors, as is the seating, and the flies are relentless. We were constantly slapping at our arms and legs, or waving them away from our food, for basically the whole hour of our experience. MISCELLANEOUS: - Be warned that the chickens are everywhere! If birds close to you while you eat are problem, this isn’t the place for you. - Look at the menu online or ask for a physical copy while you’re in line. Once you get to the counter, it’s time to order, ready or not! VERDICT: - Worth the wait! Give it a try. Maybe bring some bug spray though.

We looked at a few places online, and this one had the best reviews. The setup is a bit wonky as there are no directions on how to get inside the restaurant as everything is roped off. But you walk past a boutique and Ohana to get to Kihei. You order inside, then grab your drinks, and then sit outside. They call your name and bring your food to you. I ordered two slices of french toast with blueberries and fresh squeezed Hawaiian orange juice. Everything was delicious. Even the chickens and roosters think the food is excellent too! They do not have public bathrooms; you must walk across the street to the park to use the restrooms—other than that, no complaints.

Came here at 9:30am for breakfast and the place was already packed 😁 Service was super friendly and quick. We had the Surfer Dude Sandwich which was good and the rest of the fam had a standard breakfast, Keiki E.B.T and Keiki French Toast with chocolate chips which were all good. Had the POG and Pineapple juice and those were AWESOME!! Enjoy!!

We enjoy the Kihei Cafe when visiting Maui. With 7 of us on a family visit, many restaurants have difficulty seating all of us on short notice. Not Kihei cafe, they were on it, quickly seating us in a separate dining area. The restaurant is clean and well lit. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restrooms are clean. We ordered waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs & bacon/potatoes, and the house favorite - Loco Loco. I tried it with the pulled pork meat and it was fantastic. We highly recommend the Kihei Cafe in Maui. Aloha!

One of my favorite places on the island for breakfast. There are two now. The OG(my fave) and one at the Maui Coast Hotel. Both serve excellent food, and have outdoor seating, but the OG will always be my fave. Please plan for a line, in the earlier morning there is almost always a line, but it goes pretty quickly, and is worth the wait!

We were looking for a brunch and we saw this place just across the Kamala park. They were quite busy and we thought that we should give it a try. We order both regular loco moco and killua pork loco moco. The regular loco moco feels very homey and doesn’t scream something memorable but it’s still a very good dish. The killua pork is a lot better and more enjoyable because of the pork texture that it feels like you’re eating a corn beef. It has more flavour than the other one. Pricing is fair and the portion is amazing. Service is a straight forward and you’ll get your order in a few minutes. Overall, I would say give it a try maybe you will like it. But I would suggest to get the Killua pork rather than the regular one.

I had heard of this location but every time I attempted to try it, it’s crazy busy. That made me want to eat there even more because of how busy it is. Decided to go after the morning rush (9:30am) & I was not extremely impressed but it was ok. Had to try their famous pancakes & they are finger licking good. You have to put the coconut syrup on them & it’s perfectly paired. I was definitely impressed with the cleanliness & all the staff was friendly & attentive. I love that you can tell they make everything from scratch & they take pride!

Kihei Caffe is an alright place to go eat. It's right across from a public beach in a food strip mall. It's really fast service and for Maui decently priced. There is plenty of food to choose from. The food looks good, but it's nothing really special "to write home about." I know this can be subjective, but really I felt the taste of iHop or Denny's food was just as good or better depending on what you get. The atmosphere was loud. You go into order and sit outside along the road side and lots of other people from this restaurant and the ones next to you. If I could give half stars I would rate this place 3.5 over all. (but Google does not allow half stars) They make you buy water. That is warm and way over priced. Other than that if you're just looking for something quick, fairly affordable and a step up above fast food this would be the place for you!

There was a huge line we arrived, but we heard to not get discouraged because it goes fast. It's true, the line goes quick. The system of this restaurant is like nothing ive seen before, you wait in line for the cash, you pay and order first then you find a seat. We ordered the 2-2-2 and the Surfer Sandwich. I added banana and macadamias on my french toast. It was very big portions and pretty good. But what was really good is the Ube iced coffee!

Great place for breakfast. The line was 10-15 people but it moves fast. We waited for about 15 mins. You order inside at the counter and the host finds you a place to sit outside. I ordered the loco moco and it was delicious. The patty was well marinated, the two over easy eggs was cooked right, and the gravy complement the dish nicely. The fresh orange juice was good but it’s a small cup.

I have mixed feelings about this place because of the staff and atmosphere, but the food was delicious! The wait was about 30 minutes and you order then sit down. The food comes fairly quickly once you’re seated! The purple coffee drink was a hit at our table, the mochas were just okay. The water is boxed and a glass of milk is huge, which the toddler spilled and they never came to help us clean and we had to clean a whole huge glass of milk with a bunch of napkins and then they don’t have a restroom so we had no way of cleaning the sticky milk up because nobody would help us or bring us a rag. The loco moco bowl, French toast, and waffles were fabulous though!!! The toppings for the French toast and waffles were bananas and macadamia, or blueberries. The blueberries were delicious but way too many and the bananas and macadamias were delicious as well and less which made for the winning topping at our table. The biscuits and gravy were great also, a little spicy. The parking lot is behind the cafe, it’s across from a beach, shopping, and a coffee shop. we ended up having to park on the street and walk down a bit because we didn’t know the parking lot was back there until we started walking around after breakfast. Probably wouldn’t go back or even recommend for kids purely because of how frazzled and rude the staff was, but was a great experience!

There probably will be a wait if you come during peak breakfast or lunch, but I enjoyed the breakfast and the portions were quite large. Corned beef loco moco was good, although the mac salad was just okay. I enjoyed the surfer dude sandwich as well and good if you want a little smaller of a breakfast. It was an interesting mix of a half sit down restaurant. You order and pay inside at what looks more like a fast food counter, but then go to your seat and they bring out your food. No tap water (only bottled) which was a small annoyance, but I would eat here again.
