Stack'em High Pancakes and So Forth has good food and friendly service. When you walk in, you go down a cafeteria-like line where you browse the menu and grab your drinks. At the end of the line, you order your food and then walk the tray to a table where someone will bring you your food. Our food was very good, though the biscuits were not cooked the same way (one was more burnt than the other). This is also a very busy restaurant, so the atmosphere can get loud at times. Overall, this restaurant had friendly staff, a bustling atmosphere, and good food. Would return.

**this is the better of the two locations (by far) and yes, there are differences due to ownership** Best breakfast spot on the island! Don’t pass this by, it is well worth the wait in line to get in. Cafeteria style with an open kitchen and fresh made to order food. All the staff are so kind and friendly. Some of the best biscuits I’ve ever had, moist yet crumbly and buttery. And their cheesy smothered hash is incredible.

I loved eating here. The atmosphere is very relaxed and family oriented. Service is a bit different here, but I really enjoyed it. You grab your drinks and order food up front and then pay. You get a number and take a seat and wait for your food. Everyone serves you so you don't really tip an individual. The food is delicious! Both me and my husband loved it. We will definitely be back.

If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would. The food was all amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful since they pegged us quick as vacationers. We’re going back before we leave, even if it’s just for more of those amazing biscuits. And we got a whole feast for under $40. Hard to beat that!

Great food. Very busy. Reasonable pricing. You'll stand in line to place your order so I recommend looking at the menu before you arrive.

This place is a classic landmark. Yes, you need to order a stack. They will melt in your mouth! Had to try their biscuit (see pic) too. It beats any biscuit I've ever had at other breakfast spots...it's huge! Don't be deterred if you see a line outside. It actually moves along and worth the wait. Grab a tray, any drinks, and have your food order ready to tell the cashier. They'll bring your food to your table #. Comfort food at its best and friendly staff 👌

When we got to the place there was a line. They have a unique ordering system and that is why it is frowned upon to have someone save a seat without ordering first. Me and my husband ordered French toast with bacon, Greek Omelette and a side of corned beef hash. Everything tasted good! There was a mistake with one of my order and the person who served our food was nice enough to change it considering their unique ordering system that you have to line up to order before getting a seat. Definitely recommend this place as it is family owned and I love to support family owned restaurants!

My mom and I tried this breakfast place a couple days ago when we were staying in Kill Devil Hills, OBX and came back again the next day. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is great, and the staff is super attentive and friendly. Their pancakes are so light and fluffy 😋. My new fav. Breakfast place to go to when we visit OBX again!

This place is absolutely phenomenal. Food is cooked to order and everything is delicious. We had to order a little of everything just to try it. The owner was taking orders and she was so friendly and welcoming! The wait was long, but TOTALLY worth it. Definitely a place you want to keep coming back to.

I was told by a customer before I ordered that if she had to pick 1 meal on death row it would be the blueberry pancakes. Well, I will now fight her for that last meal! Best pancakes I have ever had. Greek omelet was delicious as well!
