I would highly recommend the ribs they were the best ribs I ever eaten and there own hush puppies are just as awesome!!!!
Did a driving tour down the East Coast from Illinois and this place was highly recommended so I had to stop and check it out. Did not dissapoint and I've had BBQ from all over the North and South this place is among the Best and the staff we're really cool and down to earth too
Every time we come to OBX we come to pigmans. Amazing and fast service with food that is to die for. Never had barbecued tuna before coming to Pigmans and will continue to order it every time!

Hands down the best place in OBX! I blindly called for help with delivering a meal to the KDH fire dept and they jumped in and went above and beyond to help me! Amazing customer service and food!
Loaded bbq fries were amazing! We visited a few weeks ago and food was fast and fresh, staff was welcoming, and all of it was very delicious :)
The food is delicious and the service is great! We enjoy the ribs, barbecue and chicken. The sweet potato fries are excellent. And in addition, the family atmosphere is a plus.

We enjoyed a quick dinner tonight at Pigman's! My husband had their new pulled chicken sandwich. He said it tasted like a cross between chicken and apple pie! I had the pulled pork boat and it was great! I tried the regular sauce on top to add flavor! Served with sweet potato fries! The price was right and the food was great!
Friendly staff. BBQ tuna was a nice coastal touch. Large portions and a variety of BBQ sauces to try. We had chicken ribs pulled pork and tuna.

We were looking for some decent Que and decided to give Pigman's BBQ a try. Pretty good eats. I even sampled their Tuna Q. Not bad either. Check it out.
Tried the turkey bbq sandwich, hush puppies, coleslaw, & baked beans. All delicious. Hush puppies were a LITTLE bland but the honey spread that came with it made them incredible. Would recommend for a casual lunch.
Eastern NC BBQ at it's Best!!!. Pigman’s BBQ is by far the best true eastern North Carolina bbq. EVER. By far. Trust me. I have tries many, many places that just don’t get it right the way Pigman’s does. I love the sauces. I had the original as well as the hot and they were just delicious. The sides were amazing as well. Between the two of us we sampled the baked beans, french fries, hush puppies and cole slaw and they were all very tasty. We even took some home with us which we devoured the next day. I really wish they would open up another location here in Richmond!

I love the Pigman. If you ask me, the Pigman is the best food on the outer banks. My daughter sums it up best - they do good pig. Treat yourself - come get some good pig.
Very casual atmosphere. The pulled pork and BBQ ribs were excellent. I especially liked the cole slaw. My only disappointment was the banana pudding. It was box banana flavored pudding.
Pork you, pork you, and pork you! After reading some of theae reviews im wondering if im insane. I fell in love with the pork bbq sandwich, the FF, hushpuppies, atmosphere, the entire vibe. Number one i was starved upon arriving and the smell of the joint was seeping thru the door. I ordered a sandwichand fries and jackpot, free slaw. Delicious , winning. The meal was out of this world. The style was subtle. Please stop in.. You wont regret it. Their homeade bbq sauce mmmm yum no words. PIGMANS ftw

Worlds Best BBQ!!!. Amazing food! first off the any sandwich you choose will be amazing. I suggest the Pork Plate. It comes with fries and the best hushpuppies in the OBX. We stopped multiple times to pick up more hushpuppies. I highly suggest this restaurant
Awesome BBQ!!!. This place has the best BBQ! We've been coming here for ten years and they are the best! I don't recall ever seeing a "no refund" sign, but maybe I missed it. Their service is excellent and I don't recall ever seeing just one person taking orders, especially in May. As a matter of fact this previous review is way off from what my experience has been. Could be a disgruntled employee I guess
By far the best BBQ on the Outer Banks. They even have turkey BBQ which is my favorite. Lots of flavor and definitely a must visit on the OBX.

Catering. I recently attended the OBX Wedding Show with my fiance. Great show, lots of food, almost none of it mattered to me...Except, the rehearsal dinner! I was given complete autonomy when it came to this, and I already knew what I wanted before we got to the show. Barbeque! Yep, good ole southern comfort food! I think a lot of people are going with this option because it truly represents what this part of the country is all about, not to mention it being very tasty. Anyway, I had quite a few choices, but once I tasted all of the options, I knew we were going with Pigman's Bar-B-Que! My fiance and and future mother in-law agreed, this was the best BBQ at the show and best BBQ we have had on the beach. In addition to the Pork BBQ, they had ribs that just fell off the bone before you could even get them in your mouth! Both had an awesome, smokey taste to them! Pigman's also had a cake that they make from their cornbread and strawberries-unbelievable! It was actually just as tasty as many of the wedding cakes we tasted that day. We plan on having that as my groom's cake! The staff was very helpful too. We were able to book the rehearsal dinner all via email and are ready to go for May 6th!
I have been coming to the OBX since I was a little child and have never stopped in to the restaurant. But now that I've gotten a taste, I will be stopping in quite often!

Pigmans did our wedding reception, and we've been back every year since. Their good rock, sweet tea is the bomb, and sauce kicks butt!
Our first time trying this establishment, we ordered Pork Bbq and Cole slaw, we took it back to our place and I cooked some vegetable sides to go with our meal. We enjoyed the BBQ, and loved the choice of sauces and the little piggy filling station they had to pick and choose your own sauces, we tried them all, and they were great! The staff was very friendly and accommodating especially considering we were ordering take out! The restaurant was clean, the food was good, the prices were reasonable, we'll definitely visit again when we're in the area.
Everything here was nice. I know I am in Carolina, but I’m just not a fan of the Carolina-style BBQ vinegar-based sauces. I tried one of their sauces that was tomato-based, but it still wasn’t quite what I hoped for.
The pulled pork was tender, French fries were crispy and Mac and cheese was creamy. Everything could have been just a few degrees warmer, but it was not cold.
The atmosphere was very chill and relaxed, good music, and the young men working the kitchen and back of house were quick, friendly and efficient.
I would recommend this place for some good local BBQ. It’s just my own personal preference that doesn’t care for Carolina style BBQ, and that’s certainly not their fault!
I read so much about this place and had to try it. I took my son and his girlfriend. He had the special sandwich with pulled pork, fries, and baked Mac N Cheese on a bun with side of fries and hush puppies, she had turkey sandwich with baked Mac N Cheese and hush puppies and I had the 1/2 rack of ribs, baked beans, slaw and hush puppies with a side of fries. Everything looked great, was quick and hot. My son scoffed down his sandwich, hush puppies, and shared his fries. She cleaned her plate and half his fries! My ribs were plentiful, the slaw needed just a tad more vinegar and the beans were pretty good. I wish they didn't pre salt my fries. I would have asked them not to had I known because, it was too much for me, and I couldn't finish them.
All in all, not bad, the price was very reasonable, the staff was friendly and it has a down-home atmosphere!

Wow. Might be the best BBQ I've had. Super friendly staff, unbelievably quick, good portions. They even have a sauce station (but the BBQ is so good I didn't even use one!).
Our family was on our last night and we didn’t get out for dinner until late. After trying several restaurants who were extremely rude we ended up at Pigman’s BBQ. Not having any idea what we wanted the cashier offered us menus and told I to take a seat and so we could decide. We placed our order and we were served very quickly. The food was exceptional. Great flavored NC BBQ! The multiple sauces in their ingenious sauce dispenser were quite tasty. We got containers for leftovers and the server notice we needed a bag and came over to help bag stuff up. Overall I was extremely impressed with the food and friendly service. We will definitely be going back.
This place is awesome! Just the cutest little mom & pop BBQ place. We ordered a whole slab of ribs and bbq sandwich, plus sides. Tried all the sauces at the sauce station which is a fun experience as you squeeze the “udders” to get your different sauces. Food was ready quicker than fast food places. Meat fell off the bones. BBQ pork practically melts in your mouth. The people that work there are super friendly. Prices are unbeatable
Just what we were looking for: a BBQ joint that felt like a real, honest, local favorite and not some chain place (or restaurant that -also- served some que). Service is friendly, accommodating and generous with their portions. We didn't have to wait long to get our orders, and they didn't disappoint. Both our pulled pork and pulled brisket were tender and and flavorful. Surprisingly, we both thought the pulled brisket was better than the pork--but that could easily be down to our personal taste in the way things were smoked and spice, and the thrill of having something different. I definitely suggest trying both, along with some of their mac and cheese. Just a cup is enough to convey how creamy it is, a perfect counterweight to their meat and selection of sauces. Oh yeah, the hush puppies and fries are absolutely tasty too, just as they should be!

Large restaurant with many options. No table service, but the woman at the counter explained their menu, made suggestions and was very informative about their food and history.
We ordered a BBQ dinner plate with two sides. Great dinner! BBQ was very good, not dry, and our sides were yummy.

Went on a Monday night at 5:30 and the place was busy. I was with a party of 7 and our order was long and involved. The staff was still quite friendly. Our food was ready quickly. The pork bbq and hush puppies were excellent. Shrimp and ribs were good to ok. We ate outside in the tented patio on a warm day and enjoyed the experience.
Woooooooow is all I can really say. Nothing like the bbq joints back home. Great service and lively decor never thought I would see a pig bbq station. Great place in outer banks for bbq.
We came here for dinner as a group on a Friday night and weren't disappointed. This joint doesn't seem to attract many tourists, the place seemed filled with locals which was pretty cool. All of us got pork BBQ - it was OK but not the best, it tasted a bit on the dry side. We liked the cornbread although it came cold, not hot. The prices were totally reasonable.
There were plenty of places available to sit. They don't have traditional table service - you put your order in at the counter and they bring it out to you when it's ready. This was a nice place for a simple, casual dinner.
We typically hit Pigman’s on our very first day when we travel to the OBX. I’m not sure how/when it became our tradition, but it just happened. It’s a super fun way to kick off our vacation. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, the employees are always friendly, and the atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect, i.e. the udder sauce dispensers. :)
We don’t like ultra fancy restaurants. We like the places where everyone feels like family. This is what you get at Pigman’s. Thanks to everyone there. You make the start of our trips the best!
Went here twice on a recent trip to the Outer Banks. Counter service restaurant that gets your food out in just a few minutes. Prices are reasonable and portions generous. BBQ beef brisket was delicious and could easily have made two full sandwiches. Homemade sides are tasty as well, especially the potato salad and hush puppies. This is the way BBQ should be.
What a great, family owned BBQ joint!! We walked in with 15 people and Richard welcomed us and hooked us up!! We picked across the menu and everything was great!! The side of Mac N Cheese and the Pork n Beans were the best I've ever had!! And don't forget to get some cornbread too! And don't forget to "milk the pig" for one of their BBQ sauces!! Thanks Richard for the friendly hospitality!! We'll see you on our next trip to OBX!!
The restaurant is small and cute. The staff was very nice. I was underwhelmed by the food personally but the other 7 people I was with seemed to really like it. The pork and the beef platters were just shredded/pulled which I’m not a big fan of and the hush puppies and coleslaw weren’t that great. The Mac and cheese and collards were pretty good.
