First time here and i love it. Had one of the best Italian hoagies on this beach. Great atmosphere, great food, and a pretty chill place to play pool.
Came in a few days ago for an on point lunch! My favorite craft beer on tap and I enjoyed mouth watering tortellini with pancetta. Service was friendly and speedy. Looking forward to coming back late night! Awesome hours 👍😍
My husband and I got married across the street last week. We had 36 guests and ordered from Sal's several times throughout the week. We also had 10 pizzas delivered as a late night snack on our wedding night. Eric went above and beyond for us!!! Not to mention the pizza was AMAZING!!! The white pizza was our favorite! Thank you! We highly recommend this place!
We decided to do take out. Awesome customer service! Welcoming and great atmosphere! Food was amazing! We had garlic pepper wings, personal pan pizza and the prosciutto & mozzerella panini.

Chef Eric is the real deal, best Alfredo Chicken and pizza is the bomb. The last bite is as good as the first, this chef should be on the Food network.
Great pizza, friendly staff, pool, pinball, and a couple old school video games. My family had a great time and we'd definitely go again.

Just moved to the area and found sal's. The place was clean and the food was amazing. at the time it was only Dan the owner there and he was running around trying to get orders done and take new ones due to him not having any staff yet for the start of the season but otherwise great food and a nice guy. So go on down to Sal's in kill devil hills it's worth it.
Ordered three large pizzas and everything was exceptional from ordering to delivery. Can't wait to order again!

We were greeted by a friendly employee who was also our server. The garlic knots were cheesy, buttery and with a good garlic flavor. They tasted even better when dipped in the flavorful red sauce. When I noticed that Lentil Soup was on the menu I had to order some. I was not disappointed. The lentils were tender, and in a flavorful broth with sweet onions. That tasted delicious, and reminded me of my grandmother's homemade Lentil Soup. It tasted even better with the Gremolata sauce because it brightened up the flavors in a very good way. For dinner we ordered both the Margherita and The Vinny NY Style Pizzas. The fresh mozzarella is made in house, and one can taste and see it because it is milky and has a wonderful stretch to it. The Margherita Pizza was like a tomato pie with fresh mozzarella, and topped with fresh basil. It is light, refreshing and very delicious. The Vinny is made with a spicy tomato sauce, which has a nice heat to it, shredded and fresh mozzarella, and pepperoni. I thought it would be too much cheese, but it wasn't. It was a great balance of cheese, spicy tomato sauce and pepperoni. Both pizzas had an amazing NY Style Thin Crust. The crust was baked to golden perfection, and held up very well to the toppings. For dessert we ordered mini Cannolis. The cannoli shells were crispy with a faint taste of cinnamon, and a sweet, light and creamy ricotta cheese filling topped with semi sweet chocolate chips. A delicious dessert to top off our meal.
Great pizza! The crust wasn't squishy, it had a firm texture to it and the flavor was very good!! We were early for pickup, but they already had them just about ready to go! Come check this place out all you pizza lovers!!
Craving pizza, at the beach, GO!! Some of the best pizza I’ve had Anywhere. We got a large supreme and 2 local craft beers on tap. Pizza was thin, but not too thin, crust was toasty to perfection and the sauce had just the right amount of tang to it, with fresh yummy toppings. The Best. Nothing fancy, paper plates & plastic cups…just great food with good service and small but clean dining area. Plus, they offer free delivery within like a 5 mile area and ordering online. What more could you want?
Got a late carry out order. About an hour before close they go to a more limited menu, so get in there early if you want some of their specials. I was wanting the white pizza, which was in the late menus and it was excellent! Had it for three meals!
Great place to grab pizza and easy to get to. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the food came out quickly! Definitely recommended!
I’m a local that orders often because I Love the food but tonight I decided to try the wings and asked for all flats and was told they couldn’t do that so I thought I will just deal with half and half but instead I got all drums except for one flat ☹️.
I have been coming to this establishment for the past 10 years. It's has become a tradition to visit while I am visiting the OBX, and let me tell you. The pizza gets better every time. It's fresh, authentic, and delicious! I look forward to my next visit!!

On a soggy night, Fat Man Reviews stopped into Sal's New York Pizza in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Sal's is New York style pizza joint serving pies, beer and pasta dishes.
We started with the Specialty Topped Tots - classic. This comes with bacon, cheese, House made ranch, and we added jalapeños. The tots are out of a bag, but they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The bacon is crispy and chewy and adds texture. The melted cheese was great, and the jalapeños added a kick of spice. The ranch was creamy, thick and great with this dish.
We ordered a half Pepperoni and half Sausage pizza. This has a hand tossed crust, it 2as thin and crispy, and I believe cooked in a wood-fire or brick oven. The pepperoni was high quality, thin and had a nice flavor. The sausage was ground with a light fennel flavor that wasn't overpowering. My one issue is I would have like a few more toppings per slice, especially the sausage. The sauce was traditional tasting marinara that was flavorful but subtle and the cheese was melted well. I think the crust to sauce and cheese ratio was about spot on.
Sal's makes their pizza dough in house, and they also offer beer and wine. They have a large menu that includes salads, sandwiches and desserts. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Fat Man says that Sal's New York Pizza is Fat Man Approved with 2 chins.
First time in this small but quaint eatery serviced by friendly staff, making hot tasty and plentiful food items. I purchased the eggplant parmigiano sandwich, garden salad, tator tots, and a spinach and cheese roll. I have food for 3 days, literally yall! I just wanted to try a couple of different things to see if the google reviews are true. Guess what? They are!
Great pizza and good people. My wife and I sat at the bar, had a cold beer and a dt. Coke along with our MYO pizza. Thin crispy crust, and delicious ingredients. The bar tender and manager? were friendly and gave good service. The restaurant is a little on the small side. You may have a hard time fitting a large party inside. They do offer take out and delivery though.

An amazing dining experience in Kill Devil Hills! The portions are huge, the price is small. I recently gave Sal's a try on my recent trip to Kill Devil Hills based on the NY Pizza reference in the name. Hesitant at first, I was quickly settled in to an amazing dining experience.
The staff at Sal's was friendly and accommodating. Multiple times the owners checked on my dining party and were very friendly, striking up conversation.
Sal's offered a large assortment of house made selections all of which sounded amazing as I read through the menu.
My salad arrived and was very appealing to the eye as well as the palette. Professionally made and larger than I expected for the price.
Accompanying my salad was an order of mozzarella sticks perfectly prepared and delicious.
We ordered an 18" pizza for our main course since pizza is in the name. The pizza was absolutely incredible! The crust was perfect and the toppings were fresh.
The couple sitting next to me had ordered the chicken parm. When the plate arrived I couldn't believe my eyes. The chicken parm looked amazing and smelled incredible. The portion was huge!
Sal's NY Pizza is a MUST stop if you are in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Amazing owners and staff offering delicious food options at very reasonable prices.
I live in KDH and think this is best pizza in my area. This summer has been a bit difficult to order a delivery pie, because this pizzarea is sourounded by 23 to 30 bedroom homes. Today, I asked if they could par bake my pie at 5:30. They did, and 3 hours later I cooked it on my own 500° pizza stone. It was fabulous! Thanks .folks...my ordering practice has changed.
Ordered online and got a call shortly after letting me know my food was almost ready. Asked for our pizza well done and they actually baked it well done! Very yummy!
OMG!! The food and portion size is straight out of NYC!! Some of the best food I have had in a really long time!! The food is fresh, delicious and served and prepared with unique recipes and ingredients. I can’t wait to go back. The prices are incredible too!!

Local bar/Italian restaurant with a few tables. The Pizza is good!! Crist is cooked perfectly (even if a little thick), flavor is definitely New York. Warning on the pizza tots, really good, but enough to feed a platoon. The lentil stew was tasty (and the small size was a bowl). Bonus points for having both Coke and Pepsi products as well as Cheerwine for soft drinks.
Really good pizza for Saturday OBX arrival day dinner. Cheese and sauce are delicious. Crust is perfectly chewy. We ordered late and they were super nice. We devoured it! Thank you Sal's!
Great pizza. They accommodated me just before closing as I rolled into town for Columbus Day weekend. Sometimes they offer very high quality Italian classics like lasagna. Delish
