The best wine tasting experience around! A Friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable staff makes this one of OBX'S hidden gems. Our friends introduced this place to us and now I am sure to take my friends when in the area. The wines are fantastic and make great gifts for the novice or experienced wine drinker! I highly suggest you stop in, you won't be disappointed!
If I could give it a higher rating I would .. great wine and even better new friends (Kim and Steve - owners) .. Great Time!

We stopped by for a bottle of wine on Saturday and it was a little after 5 and the amazing man there let us come in and get our "obx wine fix".... normally our 1st and last stop when visiting the obx....this wine is perfect for any occasion. ..and the people are so helpful and knowledgeable.
Just went there today on a whim, and although they weren't technically open, he let me in for a tasting! There wasn't a wine I didn't love! The environment was welcoming and one of the owners who did my tasting was knowledge, friendly, and very helpful! I bought 3 bottles of wine! I will definitely be back again!
We stopped here yesterday for a wine tasting and a great time was had by all. Bought 3 bottles of wine and got a custom label made that was the icing on the cake. Go here - you will not be disappointed!

Had a GREAT time! Owners were very informative and friendly! Definitely recommend it! Oh and the wine is great too!
The winemaker was very knowledgeable and I was pleasantly surprised at the really nice selection of wines! There is something here for everyone, both wine snobs and those that do not know a whole lot about wine. We will be back for sure to pick up another 6 bottles!

We stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon and had a great time. The owner was very informative about the wines and had so many neat stories. There truly is a wine for everyone from dry to sweet. I personally loved the Veronica, named after the owners wife. Would highly recommend stopping in and don’t forget to try Walk the Plonk!
What a wonderful place. As someone who LOVES wine - I was absolutely taken back by the flight tasting, customer service, and aurora of this place. Such kind people and GOOD wine. This was the first time I ever tried wine that didn’t taste store bought or out of the box. It tasted so fresh, real, and the way wine should. This place has been here for 11 years. I plan on returning many more times when family and friends come to visit. Again, if you love wine - you must try this place!!! It’s the real deal.

I adore this winery! The atmosphere is cute and homely, very quaint and understated. The owners and the staff are super friendly, informative and so welcoming. The wine is always delicious and unique (I highly recommend the Port!) and the tastings are fun and informative. We were served by Terri and she was AMAZING! Thank you Terri!! 100% will be back!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the OBX Winery. Each of the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Although there were about 10 of us, we were served well and given great information about the wines. A great time was had by all.
OBX winery was a great stop with a personalized tasting by one of the owners! Wines are made on site and are very good and tastings come with a OBX glass to take home.
Good wines, friendly staff, worth a visit while in obx. The sauvignon blanc was my favorite.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience here. The modest store front does not prepare you for the experience you'll have. We were immediately welcomed into the clean, social-distanced, partitioned tasting room and given seats. After an expert explanation of the wine list, we selected 6 to taste. An hour later, and lots of charming conversation later, we bought a case of unique OBX wine. If you want a welcoming atmosphere AND quality wine you won't find anywhere else, visit OBX Winery.
We arrived right after OBX winery opened, around 11:10 AM. Upon entering, we were greeted by John, politely and so informative. We selected 2 flights to taste and John gave us a little background on the business and his history in OBX. He also showed us the personalized labels the company puts onto the bottles by request. Being that we are newly engaged, we were over the moon that he shared this option with us. The wines were amazing, I am an employee with Total Wine & More, and I was blown away by the flavors these wines offered. My favorite was the Malbec, which originally was make by request for a wedding event. My fiance enjoyed the peachy chardonnay as well as the Veronica. We ended up leaving with 5 bottles for ourselves as well as 4 bottles for gifts. We intend to order for our wedding as well. I absolutely recommend doing the $10 flight.
We had a wonderful experience here! This is the only true winery in the Outer Banks, and I'm glad it's this one. John was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and the area, and was very pleasant to be around. All of the many wines we sampled were excellent, and we were thrilled to bring several bottles home. Don't miss this spot on your vacation!
Impeccable hospitality. We (party of 9) were served so well during the wine tasting. Everyone was knowledgeable of the wines and happy to help. Cannot thank John, Loraine, and team enough for making our 30th birthday weekend excursion a blast!

Location in a small strip-mall was surprising and had us questioning whether this winery was open for tasting or just a kit retail location. We ventured in anyways, and thank goodness we did. What an awesome little local spot.
-While it is small inside with maybe 12 seats, we were able to stand at a table and had no complaints about it.
-One of the owners spent a lot of time with us, sharing about each wine as well as his personal story. Super friendly, funny, and interesting guy. He made us feel welcome and taught us a lot about his business and the wine. He in no way pressured us to buy anything and instead just reveled in our enjoying their wines.
-We did, however, buy four bottles-- two reds, two whites. We've enjoyed one so far (the Amore) and our friends/family who tried it also liked it a lot.
-If you come in on a day when they close at 5, they will turn you away for a tasting after 4:30/4:40ish. It's not because they don't want to meet you or serve you wine-- it's because they want to make sure you have plenty of time to relax and take it all in, and 30-40 minutes just isn't enough! Come back when you can spend at least an hour here. It's VERY worth it!
-I LOVE that they coordinate an annual cruise with patrons they meet through their wine business, and also mentor other businesses and winemakers. Great people with a compelling approach to life. Go meet them!
The best wine tasting experience ever. All of the homemade wine was exquisitely flavorful, nothing less than, the owner does an excellent job at making smooth , sensuous wines with excellent flavor true to taste❣️
The wines here are as good as they get! ANYwhere! If you're vacationing on the Outer Banks, like great wine, and you miss going to John's store, you've missed a hugely enjoyable opportunity! I HIGHLY recommend a tasting at the OBX Winery to every OBX visitor or vacationer!! DO NOT MISS IT!!
Amazing! Great customer service, John really took his time to explain wine to my daughter (she's a novice). The wines were all wonderful. Went away with 13 bottles of wine and hard cider. Prices were reasonable!! We will order online for sure!!
