I had in 2 visits the lasagna and the barbecue chicken pizza. The lasagna was so fresh tasting and it's one of the best lasagnas I have had. It made for great leftovers too for work the next day at Target. Definitely good warmed up in the microwave. The pizza was nice and crispy. Very flavorful. The staff is very nice and the restaurant is clean. I highly recommend this place. I think any item on their menu is of the highest quality. I'm glad my friend Casey at Target recommended that place.
This is our first time here at Max's and we loved it! I don't know why we never came here before. Great food and service. We got the 3 cheese ravioli with (house made) basil pesto, chicken parm, penne with Italian sausage and chicken fettuccine Alfredo. We were all stuffed and had no room for dessert. Highly recommend and worth the wait.
We did have to wait a little to get in, but hey, it’s in season so I know it takes longer. The pizza here is the best on the beach! We tried a new one on their menu called “RAPper’s Delight”—it was delicious! I also love their Figgy Pizza and the Fun Guy. Try to get there by 5 or after 7 in season for a table right away, enjoy!

Delicious food and the staff was so friendly and fun. My niece and I split spaghetti with marinara sauce, sausage and meatballs. Ordered the bruschetta and it was DELICIOUS! I make my own bruschetta and no other can usually compare but this did! We also split a Caesar salad. Nice surprise for a small, strip mall restaurant.
The food was fabulous. You could taste the freshness of the mozzarella, the manicotti noodles were fresh. The Alfredo sauce was thick and creamy. Service was awesome.
We were quickly seated and our server promptly took our order. The house salad was among the best I've had as was the house Italian vinaigrette. The pizza 🍕 , well, it was delicious! How have we missed this place over our 20+ years of visits to the OBX.
Was seated quickly on a Friday night, place was clean, staff was super friendly, food was fast, fresh and fantastic. The mozzarella sticks are huge, filled with cheese and delicious. The thin crust NY style pizza was very good. Sauce was homemade and you could tell, very good. Would recommend!

Awesome food and phenomenal service! Great selections to choose from on the menu. They even have vegan and vegetarian options! Cool craft sodas and a few beers along with tons of traditional Italian and pizza options.
This sweet restaurant has the best food (garlic bread, pizza, eggplant parmesan, and fettuccine alfredo were amazing), the service was excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely. Don't overlook this gem because it's in a strip mall....you'd be missing out! It was easily the best (and the most affordable) meal we had all week.
I highly recommend this restaurant as the staff is very hard working with excellent customer service ! I have a household of 7 & we all enjoy our meals every time . I personally sneak in as often as possible just for a bruschetta snack & it’s the best I’ve ever had ! I want to thank mr Sawyer for his excellent service tonight .
Let me start by saying the food was soooo delicious. The restaurant was clean and the staff were incredibly friendly. We had a very enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, we decided to leave a 4 ⭐️ review instead of a 5 because they refused to make any accommodations for our daughter. She won't eat red sauce which is the only actual sauce on the childrens menu. We asked our waitress if we could pay a surcharge to have alfredo instead and were denied. We ended up just ordered her the adult Fettuccine alfredo. 80% will end up being thrown out. If you have children, be advised that they dont accommodate requests.
Please consider letting people pay for the substitution, at least for children menu items.
Last night here in town and felt like Italian was a good closer for the week. Got the fry basket and garlic bread with cheese with ranch on the side. Generous proportions and all was excellent. Even the ranch (should be in its own food group) wife and I got the oven baked spaghetti with meatballs and sausage topped with mozzarella cheese and daughter got the Alfredo. All was good portions and were excellent. Next ti.e down were gonna stop in again for sure.
