The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. Great atmosphere and unique feel. To walk in you think you were walking in to a nice hotel. Carousel doors with a nice lounge waiting area with a walk up counter to meet the staff instead of a podium. The food was amazing. My husband had the Shrimp & Grits and he exclaimed that they were perfection. I had the Alaskan Salmon...wow! Hands down the best I have had. Great selection of wine with a beautiful wine storage room. They also have a wonderful raw bar. 5 stars.
I Visited the new West Knoxville location on Valentine’s Day. The atmosphere was awesome the wait staff was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. I had the broiled seafood platter, and it was awesome . The only complaint I have, would be with the bar service. Every time we ordered another adult beverage it would take 5+ minutes to receive it. Definitely the best seafood restaurant anywhere close to Knoxville
What a jewel we found! First of all, the nautical decor is so welcoming and cozy. So many special touches in the decor such as the glass holders made out of a lobster trap. On to the food - I had the stuffed sole. The sole was so fresh and light and cooked to perfection. My friend had the crab cakes. She said they were the best she has ever had. She has done a lot of traveling and has had crab cakes all over the U.S.A. and these were by far the best. She was also pleasantly surprised when she tried the cornbread muffins. She said they tasted just like her mother used to bake. To top off our excellent experience, the wait staff was superb- attentive, efficient, and very friendly. We can’t wait to go back again. We have already told all of our friends they need to try this awesome place!
Wow! I’ve eaten many places right on the water & most can’t even touch Chesapeake’s! Want real service with great food in a great environment? I’ll be back in a hurry! Thank God it’s not around the corner from my house because I’d be there almost daily.
The Fresh Florida Red Snapper was as good as anything I’ve eaten on the coast while overlooking the water. Truly a great meal.
The food was fresh and great. service was above great. Finally found a good seafood place.
Friday, I met Chasity from Chesapeake’s while attending a Knox Chamber-Dale Carnegie Coaching Class collaboration.
I later found out Eli and Kaylan were going there for prom that night. I called down there and told her the situation and asked if she could give them a little special treatment �
I can tell you this! Chesapeake’s went above and beyond to provide great service and a great experience for them!
So, if you are heading downtown and considering a place to eat, don’t forget the seafood specialty gem in the heart of it all. And maybe say hello to the manager, Chasity.

Far exceeded my expectations...... we got the broiled seafood combo ...... everything on the plate was very delicious. We will def be back soon!
