If you are hungry for Mexican, THIS is the place to get a great meal. Everything is made to order, and is made your way! I had the chicken nachos, the wife had a steak burrito and a side of queso and chips. Fresh, hot and oh so good!

Temperature of the food was kind of... not very warm. Not bad, probably could've asked for it warmed up but shouldn't have to. Nice folks and I will visit again. I've been here probably five times before and it's fine for a fast Mexican bowl or burrito if you're in the area and in the mood.

Food is consistently amazing! I have loved their grilled chicken ever since I’ve tried it.

Food was fresh and fairly good, but they are over priced.

Given the poor mexican food options in knoxville, this sticks out as one of the best places one can find in town. It would not be so awesome in other states, but we are stuck with bad mexican food in this town. So, thank you salsarita!
Many years later, things have changed substantially. Now there are very good options in town while Salsarita has become incredibly expensive compared to when I initially wrote the review. The food is still ok but the other options are now way better and cheaper. Plus, they are actual restaurants with real service. Downgrading to barely three stars. Did not keep up with changing times.

Have always enjoyed their catering so we tried the restaurant with friends. They have outdoor seating so we can socially distance and still visit with friends and not be inside during the pandemic. Food is good but I do basically meat and cheese at Mexican places.

Food was great, service was a bit slow.

Let's get one thing out here first...this is a fast food restaurant with fine dining prices. A trip through the line where they put food on your plastic plate, a few chips, dip and a drink, and you've just burned through nearly $14 (with tax). Neither the quality or quantity of food approaches that value when there are dozens of other lunch places that charge half that.
It's definitely clean, uncrowded (probably because of the prices) and the staff is friendly, but the food is not outstanding...it's average and what you'd expect. To spend this much every day for lunch is not what most folks expect, or can afford. I'll return, but not nearly as often as I might if the prices were a little more reasonable.

Recently moved to the area. Tried Salsarita's on Kingston Pike and decided it was worth a return visit. Decided to stop by the Turkey Creek store today on a trip to EarthFare. Also decided to walk out without ordering after being greeted by someone who was cleaning up with some rag, but then did not change gloves after that cleanup. Preferred not to have our food served with dirty gloves. Someone needs to be retrained on food safety.

We used Salsarita's when our caterer cancelled on us the day before our event! Finding catering for 140 the day before an event should have been stressful but it was the absolute opposite! They handled everything and even set it up for us! The meal was delicious and the swimmers were thrilled! THANK YOU!

I love the freshness of the food. Chicken, rice, black beans, lettuce, cheese and chips with queso dip.
