Right off the interstate. Perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat. The staff are friendly and we even had the pleasure to hear a group of elderly women break out in unison to sing Joy to the World a week before Christmas. I've had a lot of great memories and moments in this area and this definitely made the list.
I really enjoy their casserole and biscuits and gravy. Toni at the checkout desk even told me Merry Christmas instead of the politically correct "Happy Holidays." This is my kind of place with my kind of people.
I haven't been to a Cracker Barrel in all my 36 years, but 1 time. My mom did not like high pricing.
While traveling with my husband & niece we decided to stop. It was amazing. Fried chicken & French toast, weird but delicious.
For the first time ever our family went out for Thanksgiving dinner instead of cooking. We were so pleased that we chose Cracker Barrel. The wait was a mere 20 minutes which we spent shopping in the retail space, so many unique Christmas items!! We ordered the turkey dinners which came with 2 generous slices of turkey breast, cornbread dressing with gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole and pumpkin pie for dessert. The cost was under $20 per person, which is cheaper than it would have been to cook.
I haven't always had good experiences at Cracker Barrels so I haven't visited one for a while. This one I saw had some poor reviews about long waits for food. I was seated promptly. My order was taken right away when I was ready. And my food came in a very timely fashion and it tasted good. The steak was cooked properly. The baked potatoe was a little underdone Not raw, but I had to use my knife to cut it up so I could smash it with my fork. And the broccoli was cold. I also had to hold my glass up to get someone to refill my strawberry lemonade which was very good by the way, as I never saw my server again after my food was served until she dropped off my check. It seems clear to me they are making efforts to improve and I think the food has, but service could use some more help. I had breakfast here the next day also. The French toast was excellent, but I was seated behind a partition and I had to stand up to get some attention. Someone (not my scheduled server) came and took my order, but it never got communicated to my server except that they'd put the order in so when it came out she had it wrong. My server did go out of her way to make sure it was right and did keep checking on me while I was there. Communication among staff could be better.
Thank you for a peaceful, safe, overnight stay in our van & gratitude of staff inside restaurant! Thank God for Cracker Barrel!
We went on a busy Sunday. Had to wait for a table and had to wait a bit for our food. It is to be expected for that time of day/week. Lots of screaming kids and slobby families that ignore them, and leave a huge mess for the servers. I watched it take 4 people to clean up after a party of 9 because the kids made such a mess.
The service was great, all the employees were very nice. The food was delicious.
Stopped in for dinner and had the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Loved the chicken; a very tasty and crispy crust with two meaty boneless chicken breasts. Potatoes were excellent as was the gravy. Broccoli was a bit mushy but tasty.
Waitress was very pleasant. All in all a great meal.
Great location, excellent serice, tasty food. Food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering! Great gift shop. What more can you ask from a Cracker Barrel?
Enjoyable as always.
Service was great.
Eggs could have been cooked longer.
One plate, the scrambled eggs were good, the other was still runny. It happens.
Rest of the food was great.
We had the best service and the best meal we’ve ever had at a Cracker Barrel Monday night 9/11/23! I mean everything was perfect from the second we walked in to the second we walked out, great job guys we will definitely be back! If you are traveling through and happen to stop at exit 407 on I-40 and you like old fashioned country food and fixins than you should definitely stop at this Cracker Barrel!!
This was a very nice cracker barrel! We asked if we could park our camper for the night and they said yes. The next morning we had a delicious breakfast. Our waitress was super friendly and joking and was very on top of getting anything we needed. Definitely recommend!
Quick stop for a light breakfast during a long drive. It's a great option for a quick and easy breakfast on the go, quick detour from I40, no more than 4 minutes to leave the interstate and park, exit 407. They have several options for breakfast, including: eggs, omelets, sausage, bacon, cheese, beans, potatoes, and any other toppings you like with sides. Good service, coffee was OK. Plenty of parking.
