Great place to eat, large portions and great service. There are way too many cry babies on here complaining about the wait, if the place serves up a great meal, it’s going to be packed geniuses. Get there early and wait your turn, then enjoy your meal, it’s that simple.

Good food, good prices and good service, I wish they would have some sort of curtains, the glare from parked vehicles was killing me. Kudos for that waiter that told the kid to shut off his loud music.
I had the breakfast steak, very nice, but some of my country fried potatoes were burnt.
I will return.

Best prime rib Special ever! Melt on your mouth, huge, mixed veggies including butter but squash, zucchini, carrots and braised Brussels, homemade mashed.. cornbread muffin.. wow!
had there Rib Eye steak, good just like I ordered it. waiter was very nice and always asked if we needed anything. Justin was always smiling. I'm not happy they took the steak & shrimp combo off there menu �
We love Black Bear Diner!!! The food is so yummy and the portions are larger than most restaurants... I recommend eating here! Breakfast here if my favorite

After being thoroughly disappointed with the lousy service and inattentive staff at the nearby Corner Bakery, came here and was seated almost immediately. The food here is always great. The only detail of concern is that they serve you huge portions. Corner Bakery take note: this is how you take care of your customers.
Great atmosphere! You can tell that everything is made fresh in house… especially the amazing fresh squeezed orange juice. Super large portions, sure to fill up the hungry traveler. I did not try it but I saw the huge 10oz Bob’s Burger pass by me and it looked amazing.

Great customer service. Great food. Was just there for my birthday and baby bday. Everything was on point. Will be back again soon .
We Bears just finished physical therapy and was super hungry. We haven't been to this Black Bear. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the hostess.
The hostess took us to the table. Next the cheerful, courteous server arrived to take our drinks order. We were ready to order our Bear meals.
I had their pastrami sandwich and honey had their club sandwich. Both sandwiches were great.
Being a Black Bear fan, I would recommend this place. We Bears will return again.

We Bears again went to Black Bear today. We had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes before we were seated.
Our server, Ray always had a big great smile on his face even though he was super busy trying to serve his other tables. The kitchen was slow today but Ray still had a big great smile. He even went along with my honeys jokes. Ray was cool, calm and very polite as he served our table.
As usual, we are Black Bear fans

Out in the wee town o La Habra and enjoy coming here. Had their breakfast steak n egg special. Very flavorful food, great staff and a nice environment. Plenty of jellys at your table to spread on the toast!

It was my first time at the Black Bear Diner, and I went with the Bigfoot. I have to say that the food,service and atmosphere of this restaurant is above par to say the least. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. Go check it out for yourself... they have 150 locations across the country.
Yummy breakfast, but there is definitely opportunity to improve when it comes to service, food quality, and atmosphere.
The servers were polite, but missed several of our items, for me, a side of bacon. We had to ask multiple times for forgotten items, but they did keep our coffees full.
The food was reasonably portioned. I liked the Lite Menu, as I'm doing the no-carb diet at the moment. I had an omelet and was told they had cilantro (but it arrived without).
The atmosphere was very busy, but lacked any attention to speed (get them in and out quickly to reduce wait times). When we left, the waiting people line wrapped around the building.
I'd go back for sure, but I'd probably pay someone to wait for me.
This is a relatively new restaurant in our neighborhood. Wood carved bears everywhere offers picture moments for all. The food is delicious and plentiful served by a friendly host. Yes there are plenty of restaurants to choose from but you'll be happy you came here 👍
While on vacation we gave this place a try!

We enjoy going to Black Bear diners from time to time. This was a spur of the moment visit. For a Saturday I thought it odd they had, 1 host, 1 server, 1 server helper and 1 busser. It took a bit to be seated mostly I expect because of the limited staff? The service was still good. Food always great 👍.
Best diner to eat breakfast or anytime. The place is always clean and has friendly staff. Abel provides great service every time. We recommend this diner to our friends and family. You'll love it!
Customer service was second to none. I had Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with biscuits and gravy. Potatoes were bland and biscuits were dry. (Plenty of gravy please).
it's always a great choice to visit this restaurant chain but make sure to visit with an appetite because almost everything comes in a generous servings size and portion. a great touch is the newspapers being used as the menu when you are being seated. all the bears inside and outside are funny to point out to family members when they have a cute nature saying or the bears are pictured doing something funny.
Food and atmosphere is amazing! Zeke our waiter was so kind and very efficient with providing excellent customer service. Our needs and drinks were always filled and he was very attentive to our needs
Blackbear diner in La Habra is are favorite spot to eat. We always ask to be seated in Able’s section. Able is the most pleasant server and treats you like family. We only go when Able is working his shift, you’ll still be treated great with the others, but Able goes beyond to make sure you’re taken care of. Mark the manger also recognizes us when we are their Great team. Hope to see Able move up to Manager.
