Excellent food, top-notch service and perfect location. We had an after graduation lunch here and every dish was delicious. Can’t wait to return on my next trip to La Jolla. Outstanding!

Coming from a large Italian family, I'm very critical of Italian food. This place is By far the best I have ever had (my family included) the food, service and atmosphere is incredible. My husband and I travel from Boise, Idaho for this place!

My favorite Italian restaurant in San Diego. Somehow came here during all of our visits to SD. Ordered minestrone, baked eggplant, vegetarian pesto pasta and creamy tomato pasta. Each of them was simply great!

According to my family, its not a trip to La Jolla Cove without going to Osteria Romantica. Fabio and staff always treats us great and the food is always fabulous.

Wonderful customer service, charming ambience and unique, delicious take on Italian Cuisine. For its stellar La Jolla location we thought it would be more pricey, but it's very reasonable.

WOW everything about this place is perfect, we had an amazing and affordable night. Every staff member is absolutely wonderful and attentive. The food is freaking exquisite, and the atmosphere is magical. I wish I had taken more photos, next time though!
We came here for dinner on a Friday evening. Had a reservation and were seated quickly.
Service was good. We had Simone as our server and he was excellent. Have us great recommendations and we enjoyed everything we ordered. The Linguine was my personal favorite but others liked the Gnocchi and the Burrata as their favorites.
Desserts were excellent. Tiramisu, Cannoli (which they gave us complementary, so thank you!!), Nutella cheesecake, Limoncello. Not sure which was the best, because they were all exceptional.
Highly recommend going here and we definitely will be back.

I came down to san diego for the evening and made a reservation thrue the "open table" app you should definitely check it out! This beautyful restaurant is definitely very romantic!! The parking was a bit of a hassle i believe it is all the condo's and apartments near by. As soon as i was seated i was greeted and they took my order the menu is full of some very unique and delicious italian options! I chose the Ravioli portobello it is made with home made ricotta cheese the porcini sauce is sooo delicious! i have been looking for authentic flavor and this was it! They have some nice wine options and you cannot beat the price! Trust me you will not regret it! GODERE!!
Overall it was 3.5 stars. Of the 4 dishes we ordered I would rank the food: lamb parpadelle (5 ⭐️), salmon ala vodka (3.5 ⭐️), linguine nere (3 ⭐️), duck spinach salad (3 ⭐️). The service was very friendly and the environment is very nice sitting outdoors on the newly constructed patio.

Had the best meal here out on the sidewalk area. The food was delicious- especially the gnocchi, best I’ve ever had. Server was a delight and the atmosphere and lights at night were so festive. Highly recommend!
This is such a cute and delicious place to eat!! We had originally planned to go to another restaurant but couldn't pass up how good the food looked and smelled. Our food came out quickly and tasted amazing. The Fettuccine Ortolane is light and creamy and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The Gnocchi Gratinati is decadent and so rich. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic and yummy pasta!

My friend took me to this darling, apparently popular restaurant. Her being a regular there, they allowed us to sit in the back corner. The food was fantastic. The authentic Italian food was super rich in flavor with blends that cause your taste buds to get robustly excited.
Can u tell I fell in love with the food? I love Pesto. Pesto loves ❤️ me. Their pesto is to die for. Not overwhelming salty, but perfectly blended with considerable Pesto taste.
We shared their artichoke Appetizer. And wow wow wow. So good. I could have eaten 10 more. You can eat every bit of them. No scraping the leaves with your teeth. Just cut and savor the flavor.
Then their amazing beet salad again had such a wonderful blend of ingredients. Fresh arugula, goat cheese, walnuts, maybe another nut...whatever they put in this 😋 salad was so delicious.
Then I had the Pesto Linguini. Oh wow. The dish was perfect. Craving for more already.
My friend had a halibut dish and shared me some halibut. I love fish and this dish was PERFECTLY prepared. The fish was light and moist.
The dessert was a lemon creme cake that was beautifully displayed. It was truly perfect. Light, enough lemon flavor, and so good. Then we topped it with a cup of cappuccino that gave me the zing I needed after a barrel load of food.
Fabio the owner was kind, the servers were quickly serving people going back and forth like mighty ant warriors. They all spoke italian, and I loved the dishes they spoke about which rolled off their tongue. Osteria Romantica. It's a complete experience. They checked on us at least a half dozen times even though it was super busy. Yes we had to wait a little for water refill and extra pesto. But overall....Such service!
