The restaurant's fresh made pastas are incredible. But my personal favorite is their bread and dipping sauce. The dipping sauce...there are no words to describe it. Absolutely heavenly.
Excellent restaurant for special occasions. The food and service were phenomenal. Everyone was quick to assist but not overbearing or rushing. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I was very surprised how kind everyone was as fine dining establishments can be stuffy. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. By far my favorite Italian restaurant in San Diego. As everyone says, try the tiramisu if you like coffee-flavored desserts. Will return soon to try out more of their dishes.
I found this place randomly while searching for a birthday dinner place for my mom. So happy to have chosen this place, everything was wonderful. The service was excellent and every dish we ordered was delicious! All the other reviews recommending the tiramisu were on point, we ordered it for dessert and it was amazing. If I'm ever in the area again, I would love to return. š
We booked again, Saturday evening 7:00pm after a 4 year gap. Great news it hasnāt changed one bit. Traditional and truly 100% authentic. It was buzzing. Wonderful warm āwelcome backā from Le Patron and his staff. Quality foodā¦my wife loves the egg plantā¦ and good wine š·. An Italian oasis in La Jolla.
I discovered Cafe Milano last summer and Iāve been back multiple times! You can really taste Chef Pasqualeās love in the food and feel Sandraās warmth within the restaurantās ambience. Iāve tried a few dishes with different friends, I love seeing their faces light up when they take bite of their pasta and the desserts. My favorites are the canoleni and lobster ravioli. They taste like youāre receiving a very warm hug š¤. The tiramisu is also 10/10.
Cute little family owned Italian restaurant. Service was outstanding as well as the atmosphere. There's a piano and guitar player that makes dining experience memorable.
You are greeted w a nice bread basket and yummy balsamic. Wish we also had olive oil and Romano cheese to dip their delicious bread.
We ordered fried calamari, lasagna was good, spaghetti pepe rosso was yummy, pasta fruti di mare full of well seasoned seafood.
I ordered spaghetti bolognese and was a bit disappointing...the sauce was a bit watery.. but otherwise, a great meal. For desert, we ordered the tiramisu, which was delicious, the lemon sorbet, which was refreshing, and the yummy canollis.
Tiramisu out from this world! Came to fill a the sweet gap in my stomach and was not disappointed

Food was Amazing! Sauce was light and delicious, seafood was tender and the wine was tasty. Will be out go to Italian spot whenever we visit! I did substitute my red sauce for Alfredo but a family member got the tomato sauce and both were yummy! Also got the chocolate truffle gelato for dessert.. did not disappoint!
Delicious authentic Italian food!! The lobster ravioli in the vodka sauce is a must have, youāll lick the plate clean! Chocolate Truffle ice cream is absolutely incredible also. They were able to accommodate a large group with great service for. The family owned business owners. Lovely experience on one of our last days of vacation. Must try Italian food
Cafe Milano was a great little spot to pop in and have lunch. It is home made Italiano cuisine. Each dish had a very authentic flavor. We did request our dishes to be made spicier and they were happy to accommodate. My favorite part was the Chocolate Truffle! It was picturesque and mouth watering. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a very reasonably priced, freshly prepared meal, in a cute inviting atmosphere.
My phone stopped working because it thought we were in Italy š®š¹. Welcomed like family. The server gave us a detailed tour of the menu. We all ordered different than what we picked online. The food was hot and delicious. Dessert was just as good and enhanced with expresso. I think I can speak a little Italian now. Also bought a bottle of "the bread sauce". So good
