The best steak and service.
I reserved this steak house for my son’s birthday. We had a great time here, the waiter provided good introduction and arranged the birthday celebration. We enjoyed each minute here. Thank you for this great moment.

Our first visit was fantastic. We went to celebrate a birthday and we were not let down. We were a couple minutes late) and thus we had to wait to be seated but once we did we felt very special, confetti on the table, birthday wishes, the birthday sir even received a birthday card! The facility was packed and loud but overall we had an amazing experience, excellent food!
Diego Sada
One of my favorite steakhouses in San Diego and the best in La Jolla by far. Fleming's is a guaranteed 10/10, service is always amazing, their steaks are top notch and the sides and appetizers are up there as well. I keep going back for their bone-in Rib Eye, which is tough to beat. This place leans towards a traditional steakhouse experience, don't expect bells and whistles, no exotic ingredients or unnecessary extras, just a perfect steak. The lava cake is also a must. Cocktails are great although I wouldn't come here on a night out, ambience is much more chill.

Great service and management! Incredible food and ambience here! The service was impeccable and they went above and beyond to make sure that my steak was perfect when there was a bit of issue with the amount of fat in my ribeye steak. Highly recommended!!

This Thanksgiving I was spoiled…I didn’t have to cook or wash a single dish. Now, I fear they can’t make me go back to the kitchen!
I chose Fleming’s for our Thanksgiving destination because their holiday offering sounded most appealing. I’m not a fan of turkey so I loved that they offered steak as an alternative. For my appetizer, I had their lobster bisque which was divine. It was bursting with savory buttery lobster flavor with large chunks of lobster to boot. My main entree was a perfectly cooked and tender petit filet mignon. The steak came with a side of stuffing which tasted great, but didn’t pair well with steak. The entree also came with three shareable sides, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and green beans with onions. The mashed potatoes were good but seemed a tad dry, the green beans seemed slightly undercooked and the cranberry despite having a lovely texture, didn’t pair with our main dish. For dessert, we all had carrot cake with caramel drizzle. The cake was tasty, but I wished it was a little more moist. I definitely missed the nuts and raisins in a typical carrot cake.
I ordered their California strawberry jam cocktail which initially, I felt disappointed with, but as I ate my meal I realized that it was perfect. The drink was light which contrasted with the heavier dishes.
All of the staff were amazingly friendly and engaging. The service however, was a little slow, but we expect it whenever dining for a special occasion such as this. Cost for the entire meal including tip was about $350.

Very friendly staff. The variety of food is good. The atmosphere is good. Overall recommended if you are in the area and looking for a steakhouse.

Steak was good as we expected. Tomahawk was good for sharing. Dry aged rib eye was still tender and moist to my surprise since I opt for medium well this time. If you love garlic, try the garlic mushroom. Had lemonade since we were told they can't make virgin daiquiri, they don't have a blender in the restaurant. Might not be a usual order but blended cocktails taste good while eating greasy food 😄. Lava cake was yummy as always.

Great dining experience. We love the blueberry lemon drops, Fleming's potatoes and the steaks are always cooked to perfection. Tonight was one of the best creme brulee's I've ever tasted. We always enjoy their carrot cake as it's over if the few we've found that didn't have any nuts in it.

Delicious food and alcoholic beverages. Beautiful elegant setting. Amazing customer service (Hitoshi was our waiter along with Alex). Easy parking. They keep on up taking the dishes out of the way and cleaning the table. And they gifted my daughter chocolate truffles. Fleming’s goes above and beyond and the food is so delicious. I highly recommend it!

My sister really wanted to take me here for my birthday and I was very happy with the choice of venue. I tried to get a reservation on open table and didn't see any times I liked. We called in and got a reservation for 6 and knew this was the right place when they asked if we were celebrating anything. We were celebrating a special event and it's nice to know things will be taken care of before we get there. I didn't realize how close we were to the restaurant after spending a day on the beach and we got there early. It wasn't a problem at all we got drinks at the bar and got great recommendations from the bartender. I always appreciate luxardo cherries in a drink. We were quickly sat at a table after ordering our drinks. Our server had great recommendations she was right about the burrata the brussel sprouts and the Flemming's potatoes. My sister agreed that they were a great choice. For my birthday they provided a box of truffles which are amazing and much appreciated. This place is not where you want to go on a budget though they do have alternate entree's if you don't want a prime grade steak. Thank you Flemming's for providing a great and lovely experience for us I will be back.

Really tasty steaks. They validate parking if you park at the hotel, there was also free separate parking for the restaurant. We came for the mother's day special but ended up not ordering from that menu (even though it sounded amazing) because we all wanted different things. We all agreed the food was amazing.

A popular steakhouse chain. This location is conveniently located with valet parking. Service was okay (service staff was not readily available, though they did come by a few times to check on us). Our prime dry aged rib eye was excellent, flavorful, tasty and cooked as requested. The two salads were pretty good also, fresh barata with arugala and toasts were a great combo. The only failure was the $15 onion soup which was extremely salty, terrible. Prices are on the high end!

After a little bit of a wait we were able to order quickly & get our drinks. Hayley, our server was phenomenal. This was our 2nd experience with her & every time she's gone above and beyond to accommodate & enhance our experience. The food was fantastic & the steaks were cooked perfectly. Despite my aversion to jalapenos we ordered the Fleming's potatoes & I swear, you can barely tell they're in there except for a little heat, which is perfect! Highly recommend them. Anything wagyu is going to be soaking in flavor. I ordered mine medium rare and it came out textbook! Dessert was a lava cake so good I almost regretted having so much steak. Almost. While the restaurant was fantastic, it wouldn't be 5 stars without the amazing service from Hailey. Personable, welcoming, she remembered us from our last time there 3 months ago. Fleming's should consider promoting her, making her a trainer, giving her a bonus, or all of the above! Definitely will be back. For the average Joe like me, it's a little pricey, but worth every penny.

For my birthday, Cam allowed me to treat myself to any restaurant in San Diego. I chose Fleming's because I was in the mood for a nice steak dinner and have had great experiences here in the past.
Since I haven't been here in a while, I forgot that parking can be a little confusing. There's street parking around the plaza, which you should definitely take advantage of if you see one. Otherwise there's a parking structure for the hotel, which I'm not sure Fleming's validates , or valet parking. We opted for the valet since we didn't want to pay the parking structure fees if Fleming's didn't end up validating our ticket.
Since I had made a reservation ahead of time, we were immediately seated. Luckily, we got a table in the back room, which was much quieter than the main dining area. I'll probably call ahead next time and request a table in this area again, because it was a much better experience for us.
Our waiter, Cason, immediately came over to see if we needed anything. He recommended a couple of drink options since I was feeling like a sweet cocktail, so I went with the Blueberry Lemon Drop. It was a little sweet for me, but still drinkable - I probably won't order it next time. Cam opted for the Peach Mule, which was actually a perfect level of sweetness for me.
Our reservation was for an early dinner, so Cam and I opted to split our meal. We split the Fleming's Salad, Prime Dry Aged Ribeye, Truffle Poached Lobster, Truffle-Parsley Mashed Potatoes, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Chocolate Lava Cake.
The salad was definitely one of the best salads I've ad in a while. I really enjoyed the refreshing lemon vinaigrette. We got it without the tomatoes and onions. I'm glad we split because we definitely got the perfect amount of salad that I wanted to start our meal with.
The main course was absolutely outstanding. Our plates were served piping hot and everything was delicious. We ordered our steak medium, which was perfectly cooked and the lobster was a great accompaniment. The truffle mashed potatoes were nice and smooth, and I'm sure they had quite a bit of butter in them, considering how savory they were. I also loved the brussels sprouts - the balsamic glaze was perfect and the pancetta was a nice burst of flavor.
The chocolate lava cake takes 20 minutes to prepare, so if you think you want it, definitely order it when you order your entree. Since we ordered it after we asked for our leftovers to be packed up, I ordered a glass of ice wine to tide us over. The manager who helped us pick out the wine was extremely nice and gave us a good explanation of all the wines available that matched what I was looking to drink.
The wait for the chocolate lava cake wasn't actually that long (I still recommend you order it early). When it arrived, it looked absolutely amazing and tasted just as good as it looked. The ice cream was topped with pistachios and the cookie that it was served on top of was absolutely perfect. I'm not sure how they managed to get it to stay so crispy despite having ice cream on top of it. The chocolate lava cake was also really good - the lava part was warm and delicious and the cake wasn't too sweet.
Overall, I hope to go to Flemings again soon. I know they also have a great happy hour, so I might go with Cam again to get drinks. If you frequent Fleming's a lot, I definitely recommend joining their Dine Rewards program, which gets you 50% off every 4th visit. We got $10 off our visit, since I was a new member.

Delicious food. Many options and everything single thing was great! The waiter was excellent! Great service overall.

Delicious steaks! The Filet Mignon is sooooo tender, it almost melts in your mouth. Update: The Filet Mignons were excellent as usual! Brussels Sprouts, Scalloped Potatoes, and Creamed Spinach sides were delicious. The onion rings side was good, but paled in comparison to the taste of the other sides. The portion size of the Creamed Spinach was too small this time. The Key Lime Pie was delicious; a perfect balance of sweet and tart.
The service was excellent as usual.

This place is spectacular. I was very pleased with the service. I didn't have to ask for anything, almost like the server was reading my mind. It felt like we were the most important people in the world. That is awesome service!

Hubby and I finally got a date night since covid started. The food is still great! If you end up wanting iced tea, they'll keep giving you hot tea and cups of ice (I didn't know that) but the tea tastes great regardless! We ordered the ahi poke chips for the appetizer and it was delicious! I wish they made a whole meal of it. Pre-covid the tuna used to be nearly minced, but post COVID they were chunks. All of the entrees ended up being tasty and the side of the baked potato was super delicious! I would highly recommend that. As for dessert, I think the chocolate lava cake was made with dark chocolate, but it tasted very bitter to me. I was kind of disappointed in that. I don't usually skip dessert but after tasting it I definitely didn't want to finish it and neither did my husband. If you like more bitter or less sweet desserts, you'll love the chocolate lava cake.
We ended up going next door to trulucks for their chocolate malt cake which was sweet and delicious!

A fantastic place for a friend's birthday dinner. Pricey, but as a special occasion it was great. The steak was excellent, sides were sharing size and delicious, and the staff was top tier.
