I just sold my pizza place in NJ and I am on an across and up and down the USA 2 month road trip.
Just got to San Diego and had this.... best pizza I have had on West side of the country.
Pizza used to be really good but the past couple of times it has been so salty to the point where it is almost inedible. The same is true for the wings although maybe not as overwhelming. Everyone in my family had the same thoughts including my father who loves salty foods.
This place is just wonderful. They are weathering the pandemic but this family owned restaurant needs business...and they are really really good!! If you are in the area and want a fantastic meal, look no further than Franks Pizza Place.
Pizza was the bomb. Had a x-large Supreme. Had to drive from Chula Vista.
Just got a couple of take out pizzas. The chef was wearing a mask under his chin. His mouth and nose were not covered. A young man was sitting at the bar, apparently waiting for a pizza. Great Pizza! I love this place. Not as good as Bronx pizza but the second best in San Diego! It is a little pricey than I would like but if you’re in this area and want some really good pizza, this is the place to go!
