This quaint Lil spot is truly nostalgic. I loved that home comfort feeling. As soon as I walked in everyone was super friendly.
But let's talk about food!! It was an amazing home cooked meal. They gave you big portions. I got the country fried steak, with their seasoned hashbrowns and scrambled eggs. It came with a side of toast, pancake or biscuit and gravy. I picked the biscuit and gravy.
My daughter, who is 3, was already super hungry, so I asked if I could put her order in asap and they did so kindly. She was so happy when her Mickey pancake came out, along with her chocolate milk and whip cream. This was a hidden gem for me, so glad I came across it. I will be returning on a regular.
We were looking for a quaint local spot and we found it! I saw some of the recent negative reviews and am at a loss since the service we received was awesome.
We were seated right away and a young lady came to wipe down the table within seconds. I did pop inside to check for a specials menu and found out that Loco moco was their special today.
We had our drink order taken right away which was very nice, then our waitress came and took our orders. Everyone we have encountered here has been friendly and attentive.
My co-worker and I both ordered the Loco Moco and we were glad we did. Lots of flavor and good portions. Please note that it comes with mushrooms in the gravy.
This is definitely on our list the next time we are in town on business.

For Parking I would suggest behind the restaurant it can be full but during the morning a few spots open up. The place was busy and the servers were doing good with each table. The breakfast was nice and came out at a decent time. I would come back here whenever I am in downtown LaVerne..
Always a great place to dine in and take out 🤤 My favorite item is hands down the Ortega omelette with the seasoned hash browns 🔥 Also the coffee is fantastic ☕️. One more thing, don’t forget to ask for the pico de Gallo as a side 💪🏽 tasty 😋

Really like this place but I think I had a new server today. Never did get my toast, took 17 minutes to get check after finishing my breakfast. It was very busy and I will go back. The food is good and the portions you receive are large. I guess is was my turn. Bring cash. This is a cash resturaunt.
