We had dinner here for the first time this evening and the food was absolutely delicious! Alexandria was our server and she was super friendly and very helpful with the menu and making suggestions! Excellent service! We will definitely be back soon!! Overall 10/10 Highly recommend!

Hey there, Oyster Lovers❤️.. Wanna Suck, I mean, slurp these off the 1/2 shell with me? Over here at the Half Shell Oyster House, I am never disappointed and you won’t be either. Matter of fact, the taste alone is an aphrodisiac in my opinion and everyone else I have came with or have taken out with me. It perfectly suits a romantic couple, all the while accomodating a group of friends seeking some much needed QT, and if your day here would consist of those from the office, this is the place that has its professionalism just right! I love places where it does not matter who is your server (I have never had the same one twice) THEY ALL ROCK!!! Just downright awesome crew! Trust me, I can tolerate anybody but I don't like everybody... except here, I LOVE EERBODY!!!

We tried oysters, raw and chargrilled (sorry, we gobbled them down before I snapped a pic), fried green tomatoes with crab cakes, Royal Redfish and Redfish Orleans. Honestly, the menu is too big. We wanted to try everything. My only complaint is that I didn't save room for dessert. The bananas foster cheesecake sounded amazing! And our waiter Clark was friendly and fun. Definitely a repeat while we are in town!

I wrote this on my husbands account...Stopped in on our way through town for dinner. Very nice place. Service was great. Our server had to be one of the best we have had in a while. Ordered a couple of their specialty drinks and they were awesome. Overall the visit was good. Had some special creole oysters that had great flavor but were a little dry. The crab bisque had good flavor but was more like a soup. The Redfish orleans was a big disappointment for me (my husband liked it). It was, just swimming in grease which ruined a perfectly cooked piece of fish and all the toppings. The seafood sampler tasted good, everything was cooked well and it was nice to have sampler that was not all fried food (we asked for grilled shrimp and mahi). I would eat here again.

Our group of 4 had a wonderful time celebrating my wife’s birthday. Our server Cade was very knowledgeable of the menu and was very helpful as we guided through both the menu and our meal. The food was outstanding! All of the courses were brought out at the right times and were all prepared to the right temps. We would highly recommend eating at the Half Shell Oyster House - Lafayette.
