Love this place! Only in South Louisiana are you going to find some of the best food at a gas station! I always get the gyro meat by the pound. Only about half is left by the time I get home.
In my view, a good choice for take out Greek food. Inside a gas station. There are decent sized tables for eat-in. But we always get it to go. Very convenient. And don't let the gas station appearance fool you - the food is actually good.
One wonders if this is something unique to Acadiana or others across the U.S. experience this phenomenon. What do I mean?
How about very good Lebanese food in a gas station. Who really would ever guess.
I have picked up the overstuffed gyro plate from here many times. You get wonderfully seasoned lamb, yellow rice, salad, pita bread and humus for $8.50 (prices have inched up but so has everyone else)
I can usually make two meals from the servings. So if you ever want an unique experience try buying some of the best Lebanese food you will have - from a gas station.
Best Greek in Acadiana. Great fresh food and good people! I go to both locations on Kaliste Saloom and Amb Caffery. Love them!
The best Greek food in town. The portions are so much larger than other Greek restaurants in town and their prices are much better. Location isn't great but worth the extra drive.

Order to go- chicken Schwarma plate is awesome. Friendly, Fast, Filling, and cheap. A must! I prefer this location over the others.

Great. Despite the gas station location, Athena's food is excellent, fast, and affordable. I've tried Zeus numerous times and have been consistently let down. Never at Athena. You've earned sole possession of my business as far as Mediterranean food goes.

BEST Greek food & BEST value.... Ok, its "gas station Greek" but it is still the best. There combo plates & gyro plates are awesome, lots of food & relatively cheap. Thier hummus is the best. I usually prefer sit down dinners to pick up food but when I want Greek, this is the place.
Better Greek. Better than a lot of the other places in town. Fast, cheap, good. Do it.
WAY better than Zeus. Zeus is good, but let's face it Lafayette. Zeus is only getting props for popping our Greek cherry.
Athena's is cheaper and better. Their lunch buffet is the best deal in town.
The only thing I wish they had is lamb kabob's. For that I do cheat on Athena and go with Zeus.
Quick delicious meals in a gas station! Service is always friendly and always fast! Our go-to are chicken pasta! Ask for pita bread, you won't regret it!

This is a great place to stop for some Greek and Lebanese takeout. Everything is good and the plates give you a good sized, filling lunch.
Food is prepared fast to order and you just pay at the register. It's a good place to stop if you need to get in and out quickly.

Update (3 years later)...Still good everytime! Sometimes I make the mistake of getting food from their main competitor, but this goddess is so much better than that Greek god you see everywhere else.
Athenas (NOT ADT Google!), is so freaking good. OMG, it's worth every penny! I can't make up my mind between Gyro and Chkn. Shawarma, so I get the combo. They are so nice too, but it's the food that is awesome! I've had the feta salad and hummus before, but it's the sandwiches that keep me coming back! Well worth the money! Definitely a nice treat for yourself.

Just like the other Athena on Ambassador, this little satellite location offers the same amazing quality in ingredients and service, but at a must faster pace. I chose to visit here instead of the main location because I wanted to get my good quickly and then go home. The good news is that they deliver on what they're meant to provide. Fast turnaround with strong service and delicious food.
If your don't know already, this is best place in laf for Greek food! Go try it out.

Best Ceasar salad if the world! I eat 3-5 a week for the past year. Service is great. The interior is ugly but I get mine to go at eat on the job. So good.

Food is good all day except around closing time. The lettuce gets soggy and the soup isn't hot enough. Other than that, great service!
The food here is absolutely great.
