This place has the best pizza I’ve ever had. And yes I’ve been to Dean-O’s (which is also really good) The toppings were overflowing, it was cooked like a pizza properly should be and it was quite reasonably priced. My teenage son and I both got full and still took some home. My date (vegetarian) ordered the broccoli fettuccine and it was delicious as well. We all 3 ate for less than $50 (tip included)!!!
The ambiance was also ideal for a quiet date night 😉
This is one of Lafayette's treasures! This Italian Resturant has wonderful entrées and pizza's. It a family Resturant that is warm and welcoming. Alesi's is better than any Italian chain out there period.
Our family has eaten here for generations! It's a place like no other. It's a family run business that has always severed scrumptious food!
I've had Alesi before, usually just pizza. Tried the "feast" pasta special this weekend, and wow: outstanding. Lasagna, tufoli and ravioli was some of the best restaurant Italian food I've ever had. I know it's a Lafayette stall wort, but if you haven't tried there classic Italian dishes, give them a shot. Great experience. Left miserable (but the good kind).
This place makes us feel like family when we eat here. The foods pretty good too. I have never tried their pizza, being from the Northeast I'm a pizza snob. That being said, I like all the dinners I have eaten here over the years
Best pizza I've ever had. Forget ordering anything else.
Fake italian. Food is okay. wish the sauce wasnt sweet
Best pizza I've had since moving here.. What can I say? Pizza around here is bad. (I'm from New Haven, so the bar is high). This is the best I've had in my quest for decent pizza. My only complaint (and this is typical of most pizza places here) is that the "large" is really a medium at 12".
Went there tonight with my husband we liked it it was out first time we went there. The service was pretty good, the price was abit higher than what I am use to paying but it was worth it. My husband really enjoyed the veal, he proclaimed it to be the best veal he ever had. The pizza was greasy, but that wa expected it was like a New York style pizza, my advice is get a couple of napkins and pat off the grease if it bothers you.
WhatsamatterU. Hey, I get the bad reviews. Put them aside. This is not American pizza. This is different. Yup, it's greasy, too much? Blot it with a paper towel. It's thin, I like to fold it. Nothing inventive here but why mess with success. Alesi's has been in Lafayette since the '50s--no need to say anymore. If you don't like it, we got concrete shoes for you!
I'm Italian and I absolutely love Alesi's! My favorite thing to get is the pizza. They have the absolute best pizza on town.
Grew up eating here. My Dad was in the Navy in San Diego. He told a story about the best pizza he ever ate..and it was in San Diego, that he met Mike Alesi
who then owned a pizza establishment there. (at least, that is the story I recall my dad telling).
Coincidence that they met again years later in Lafayette.
I am now 52 years old and have been eating there as far back as I can remember. We love your Pizza! We love the friendly staff!
Maria is our favorite!
I can't imagine life without Alesi's!
Keep up the good work!
Reasonable. Convenient, quick, delicious. Good selection of wine. Mushroom spaghetti was yummy!
Good Pizza. Pizza was great. Decor is appalling.
Hadn't been here in over 20 yrs but decided it was time to give it another try. Ordered fried cheese ravioli as an app-it wasn't bad but it was nothing more than frozen breaded ravioli that you can get at any grocery store freezer or chilis. Ordered the anti-pasto salad and this was pretty disappointing. First off, how can an Italian restaurant not offer a house dressing-everything out of a bottle. The salad itself wasn't
That great, lettuce, deli ham & salami, with tomatoes. Finally, the pizza-what we really came here for. We ordered the alesi's special (pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, jalepenos (we replaced the bell peppers with this) & onions. It was good, liked that the meat was cooked with a little crisp and the sauce, albeit on the "sweet" side was very good. The crust was thin but held together well. All in all it was NY style pizza. As we were told by someone who frequents this place: "stick with the pizza & you'll enjoy it" & I'd have to say, I agree. We'll be back for the pizza but this time we'll skip the app & salad. Another plus, the prices are very good here, less than $40 bucks for apps, salad, pizza, & 2 iced teas.
My favorite pizza in the entire world. There's nothing else like it!
I went the other day to Alesi's. I always go there for my husband and I's anniversary. It is always a nice experience. The food is delicious, honestly they serve a lot of food compared to other local restaurants. The atmosphere is always the same classy one. I honestly enjoy this restaurant. I am looking forward to go back.
Amazing!. This is one of the best places for Italian food in Lafayette! The food is delicious and the portions are great for the prices. The atmosphere is relaxed and romantic! I love their homemade sauces!
This place is great!! The pizza is good the presentation is great!! The lighting is perfect if your from Africa, the pizza is thin if you're from sardine palace, and the bathrooms are like heaven!! I made myself go even though I didn't have to!!!!
The Decor is über-seventies, it feels a little dirty, some of the booths are kinda torn up, but heck yeah on the pizza. Skip everything else as it all tastes like it came out of a can. The service is top notch always, everyone just as nice as they can be. It may be a little funky but I love this place and the pizza is a genuine treat!!
Love their pizza!. We've eaten here for years and love their pizza. I have tried their other menu items and they are okay but their pizza is hands down the best item on the menu. I've had authentic Italian pizza (in ITALY) and I still like their pizza. I definitely recommend Alesi's to anyone looking for a tasty pizza.
To the lady who loves food! You should have been right at home in a horse stall with a feed bag on your face! Haha but seriously you don't have anything better to say about one of the oldest pizza joints in Lafayette! Next time you want to write about something that is in such bad condition you should look in the mirror and try not to laugh so hard! Your truely hot boy Ronald.
Wonderful Pizzas and Ravioli. I love Alesi's pizza and ravioli. Their old-world style sauce is amazing!

Great pasta. I have noticed that someone mentioned that they had to wait to get asked what they wanted. This is a fancier pasta restaurant that stays extremely busy,so you will have to wait. They have wonderful food. You will end up bringing some home,it is that much food! We had a "Rico Swave" waiter, and I mean that in a nice way. Super nice and gave us time to read the menu. He lit a candle on the table for my boyfriend and I to make it a "romantic" dinner. Fresh Parmesan. Great Atmosphere.
Good local pizza. Some of my favorite lasagna around. There's a reason the restaurant has been here so long. Not saying it has any one thing the best but pretty good all the way around
One of the best pizzas in Lafayette. Their cheese blend is phenomenal. It has this gooey texture that just melts in your mouth. This is the perfect pizza and the candle-lit atmosphere makes it a great place to go on a date. Highly recommended.
I would not recommend the calzone though. It is much smaller than what you would receive at many other pizzerias in town.
Consistently good pizza! One of our long-time favorites :)
DELICIOUS!!!. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed their pepperoni pizza. The crust was absolutely perfect. We topped off the night with the incredible spumoni & cannoli desserts they get from Angelo Brocato's. AWESOME!!
Hands down the best pizza in the deep south!!!
The best pizza in Lafayette. The antipasta salad!!!!
Nice. Finding this was one of life's mysteries. Urban Spoon on my iPhone had another Italian restaurant at nearly the same address, until that restaurant magically disappeared from Urban Spoon. When we called, the very Italian guy who answer the phone gave us a slightly different address that I swear didn't exist. So we ended up here and were very pleased. The best thing we got was the crab manicotti with Alfredo sauce my husband good. Really yummy. Service was good and the spumoni was the real thing. Certainly the best mean we ate in Lafayette.
Great. As close as you can get to authentic Italian pizza, good pasta dishes too.
Awsome most authentic Italian in town! Good wine selection and everything on the menu is cooked from scratch. If you've been eating chain Italian you seriously don't know what you are missing.
Phenomenal. Alesi's is one of our local treasures, here in Lafayette. Some reviews I have seen here are by people who compare Alesi's to Pizza Hut, Olive Garden, or some other chain. The food is cooked from scratch by great people. The fettuccine alfredo is an absolute masterpiece; no other place in town comes close. The rest of the pasta menu is "authentic" Italian made by Italians who have settled here. Do yourself a favor and go to Alesi's.
Yummy!. One of the best pizza's in lafayette!
Best neon sign in laf. Good pizza, fair prices and wine selection
Great place, the atmosphere, the food, and the service are excellent. A true local gem with a ton of history.
Lafayette Tradition. The pizza is wonderful, so is the fried pasta appetizers, and antipasto salads. The torpedo sandwich is delicious!
Never disappoints!!. This is possibly the first restaurant I remember eating at and one thing hasn't changed, it's great!
The Best Pizza Around. I've been eating at this place since I was a child. I love the bacon pizza and shrimp pizza. I always order a half bacon and half shrimp since I can't decide which I would rather. I've had other things off the menu but since I don't go there often I rarely look at the menu and order the half and half bacon and shrimp. Rarely you can find real bacon on pizza and even when you can it's never this good!
I was there on a Wednesday night for a church social event. We had a large separate room, and the main dining room was still packed on a weekday night! That's how yummy the food is here! There were approximately 26 of us, and one, yes, 1, a server who did not disappoint. He was quick with the refills, correct with the salad dressing and food orders. The food was served hot with plenty of bread. The restaurant has been there since 1965, I believe. Don't let the building fool you. The owner and staff are friendly, the food delicious, and the wine list broad. We will return for dinner soon.
As a child my parents would take us here and I made such fond memories here. I remember taking my wife here shortly after we got married and now my brother and sister joined me with their new spouses and children to make new memories. The restaurant is almost exactly the same as I remember it. They got rid of the toasted packaged breadsticks and some of the staff have retired but it still has the same great food.
The place has a great selection of wine a wonderful menu that is awesome and the same great atmosphere. I absolutely love this place, the owners and the food.
I was saddened to find out the a good man that used to run the register and frequent the bar I ran a long time ago passed at a younger age than he should have. He was a great man and we sorely missed.
Dining in brought back a ton of great memories and made me happy they have not changed a thing.
Great place for lunch. Had a "works" pizza and some fried ravioli. Me and my girly had a great time. A little on the spicy side but super tasty. Really attentive waiter who was kind and friendly. Would definitely go back if time allows. Warm, cozy Atmosphere, a little dated but I like that. It feels nostalgic.
Our Pizza that we
Specialize is so Delicious!!
Mr. Jordan & Mr. William make it like its on their own menu that they do daily.
Thank you'll, we are very
Pleased & Happy

Anytime I have a friend or family member come into town and the want Italian I take them to Alesi Pizza House. Their red sauce is amazing with a hint of sweetness. I have tried many dishes there, some I would recommend is the Chicken Cacciatore, Seafood Manicotti and Alesi’s Italian Feast which is so much food it will feed two people with leftover.
Pictured
-Veal Sicilian – Veal topped with ham and melted provolone cheese
(served with side dish of cavatoni)
-Seafood Manicotti (Alfredo sauce or tomato & wine sauce) stuffed with crabmeat
Maybe it's because I've been eating here literally all my life, but it's my favorite pizza anywhere. I always get The Works which I believe is also called the Mike's Special or something. Their crust is thin, but not the crispy, cracker-like thin, this is the fold-it-at-the-back thin with some flexibility. The only downside is this pizza doesn't keep well as left-overs, otherwise this has been my family's pizza spot since it opened in 1957.
Amazing pizza. This is some of the best pizza I've ever had anywhere. The service is outstanding and the staff is super friendly. Go as soon as they open because it's always full of people.
i ordered two items, spaghetti with meat sauce to go and a ground beef, pepperoni and onion pizza. the pizza was ok, a little dry for me butba good taste. half of that was lunch. for dinner inhad some spaghetti. very nice! give this place a shot, i doubt it will disappoint...cb
oh em gee, i looove how they make their pizzas! i haven't even been able to venture off and try something else because it's so good!! the staff is always friendly and the owners are the sweetest, they let us do a photoshoot on location one morning!!!
Great environment, fair prices and excellent service, the hostess Monica was very friendly and professional and the beer was ice cold I can firmly say I’ll be back.
What a wonderful treat! Great atmosphere and delicious food! We had a friendly waiter who kept our drinks filled. Menu included traditional choices, pizza, steaks, and pastas. The husband and I both tried something new and absolutely loved it. Very flavorful food. Perfect for date nights with their candle lit tables.
We love Alesi, but if you love Pizza Hut or Domino's this is not the place for you. Alesi pizza is very thin, the sauce is delectable and cheese is fresh. Over the last 45 years we've had everything on the menu and never left disappointed. Meche, Carlos, and Manny have served us without flaw every time.
Food is always good.
I feel the service has declined over the last 2 decades, but still good.
Great pizza. Best in town. Crispy crust, very tasty. We get ours with extra sauce and extra cheese. The cheese is caramelized on top. I just finished one and writing this is making me hungry.
