Festive Saturday night in December, after strolling the Sawdust art festival, we came in around 6 pm. Had reservations, for later, but we were seated right away. We were so decked out in our holiday attire that the manager sent over a couple of glass dome-covered smoking tequila drinks! An unexpected delight! All four of us enjoyed most wonderful service and scrumptious meals. Special thanks to Daniel and Nino. For me, Carnitas rule supreme! We will be back.
Delicious food!! We were seated immediately and served high quality taste with not much wait. I highly recommend for good quality Mexican food!!
The food was really great! We ordered the seafood trio, which isn't available in the menu anymore, but they were kind enough to accommodate us. It was 💯. We also enjoyed the La Tampiquena and the churros dessert. The service is a little bit slower than how we would like but not too big of a deal. Overall, we'll be back here if we ever visited Laguna Beach again.
Shout out to the general manager Adrien who made sure our experience was top tier! 🤩🤩 our server Ericka brought treats for our Pup Lexi and it made her day 😅, as for my brother and I, we enjoyed the awesome Guac, steak fajitas, slow-broiled carnitas and the bbq ribs starter. All the food was amazing, great spot to eat post beach.
The food was good. The service was great. I thought it was pricey, but I guess it's to be expected for the location. $15 for some guac and $21 for 2 enchiladas seemed a bit steep. We were on vacation so we enjoyed our dinner, but being Mexican myself, I kept thinking "I can totally make this myself." Anyway, I would recommend this place, just expect to pay high prices for a little bit of food.
The food was high quality, and had generous portion sizes. I’d really recommend the pulled pork fajitas there were delicious.
One of our favorite places to eat in SoCal. The food, vibe, and service were amazing. We got the carne asada tacos and seafood enchiladas and both were amazing. The salsa, chips, and black bean dip that came out before the meal was great too. Don’t miss this spot. You will love it.
Amazing service by Omar, the food was phenomenal omg ! I had the chicken chimi and it was so flavorful and fresh til the last bite. Drink was amazing as well. Location is 5 minutes away from the beach. I will definitely return one day. Very positive experience.

Recommended by a friend and it was absolutely delicious! The crab stuffed jalapenos were perfect and surprisingly wrapped in bacon. The green dipping sauce is spicier than expected (and I'm a spicy kind of gal so take my word for it!) But if you get some extra sour cream, you'll be able to enjoy the spice with everything else!
The churros and ice cream were a new adventure for me. It was funny that the ice cream was what cut down on the heaviness of the whip cream, though the cream was fresh made... Nothing from a can here! The churros were the kind straight from the amusement park and the burnt caramel sauce tied everything together!
I had three margaritas (only two pictured) and each was so uniquely crafted and the best I've ever had!

The food is delicious. Nice place. The only thing I didn't like was that we had a reservation for 12 people and they didn't have a table for us and we had to wait more than an hour.
We had an excellent lunch at Carmelita's! The staff was warm and welcoming; thank you Omar! The cocktails were delicious! I had the Oaxacan Steak Tacos and my wife had the Ceviche. We spent three days in Laguna Beach, and this lunch was our favorite! Put this stop on your list when you're in town.
One of my favorite spots of all of California never mind just Laguna Beach. This place is amazing on all fronts. Fish tacos and the drinks are always perfect!
I’m always looking for a Mexican place that’s not over-the-top… not too crazy to get into, not too expensive etc. I just want a place where I can hop onto the bar grab a cold beer or a nice margarita and have some delicious tacos. If you feel the same and you’re around downtown Laguna... this is your spot.
Well the staff was amazing and were friendly the waitress Palmera or something like that and the manager felt like we all were friends for years. The food was good.. My wet burrito was perfect for quelling the wet tortilla feeling in your teeth. Drink's were good as well. Or at least from the hilarious jokes it was. Id go back for sure
Food was delicious 😋. 🐠 was cooked perfectly. It looked like a small portion at first, but it's actually the perfect portion to leave room for some desserts 🍪.
