Sat on the roof patio over looking the sea. Beautiful. The server Kayla was great. Friendly and informative. Food was good just what was described in the menu. I had the Ahi burger. Amazing. Try it!

Everything is good. Nice service. Tasty food. Atmosphere like in the movie. I like it. Definitely will come back. They offer DIY paper convertible Chevrolet Camino with stickers for kids, It's so pleasant.
The last of the classic burger joints! Ruby's is a SoCal icon and is hopefully here to stay in Laguna at least. Burgers are juicy and tasty, fries hot and crispy, and shakes...the famous shakes! Get the Oreo (pictured) - it's my guilty pleasure.
Service is fantastic as well. You can tell they care at this location and for that we thank you.
My favorite diner so far!! I have been more than 3 times and I’ll continue coming back. The milkshakes are so delicious, the service is always good and the food is fresh! I love this place so much! The best part about the milkshakes is the fact that they give you the leftovers so it’s really worth ordering!
Awesome location with the view of the ocean and vintage cars. Burgers and shakes were amazing. Out waitress was very helpful with deciding on the entrée (sorry if I spell your name wrong) I believe her name is Laney/Liney. She also helped us giving directions to the local beaches and parking.
Definitely a good place to eat, food was good and the classic environment was fun.

You should try chicken tenders and hamburger in this retro restaurant. The service is fast and the staff are so kind. They have a big parking lot, so that you won’t have trouble finding a place.
Went for dessert... got the apple pie a la mode. It did not disappoint!

Every time we visit, we ask to be seated on the top deck, having a fantastic ocean view, hearing the waves crashing by the shoreline while exchanging pleasantries.
I highly recommend this dinner. The food is great and it is not expensive.
Really good burger. Also good vegetarian option. Good service and nice location.

Sadly so many Ruby's Diners have closed in recent years in Orange County, but this is one that has stood the test of time, thankfully.
We stop off when making the trip down to San Diego along the PCH, and always order a Chinese wanton salad, chicory burger and fries and strawberry milkshake. All are really tasty and reasonable priced. Service is always good and you are offered seating upstairs on the patio overlooking the sea or inside. Plenty of free parking in their own parking lot which has a few classic cars outside.
Me and my husband went out to Laguna beach for our anniversary and we decided to stop at Ruby’s. We have been to a different Ruby before in Palms Spring. At this Ruby’s we had an awesome experience. The waiters and waitresses were really nice. Our food did not took long to make and it was very delicious. I also love the vibe of the restaurant and the decor. I recommend this play to anyone wanting to eat at a diner through time.
I really loved the look of the restaurant and the service, but the food was not the best in my opinion. We had a sizable order, it was fresh and hot, but missing out of seasonings. The calamari was really good though. Cars outside were so cool.
Our recent visit to relatives in the US included a drive down the PCH from San Francisco to Dana Point and one of our stops included a meal at Ruby's Diner.
I have to say, this was the highlight of our gastronomic journey in the US. The atmosphere, service, food and general feel was everything you would expect of a 40's/50's themed American diner.
We found restaurant food in US generally overpriced and bland, but dinner at Ruby's was the exception. The warm evening weather, clear blue sky and gorgeous sunset by the Pacific Ocean for a backdrop helps the mood no doubt, but I would readily recommend - well worth a visit and take your camera!
My first time at this franchise and let’s just say they knocked it out of the park! This would’ve been 5 stars possibly, but truthfully out of the group I personally only purchased coffee which was great. Our waiter was extremely charismatic and knowledgeable and spoke just enough without becoming a bother, any mistakes or something that was cold was fixed asap and without hassle. The environment is amazing with what seems to be a malt shop 50’s/60’s scene with cars out front and seats from the past. Loved it and you will to, highly Recommend.
Not only were the burgers FLAWLESS, but the service was really fast and polite too. We sat up on the patio for the beach view, and it was nice and clean. Overall, this is a real old gem of a Ruby's, and it definitely deserves your patronage to keep a little history alive. Such a great burger spot.
This ruby's has old cars out front, which is cool, we saw it driving looking for a place to eat. So now I know this place , which is about a few blocks north of the Montage resort in Laguna beach, and I am close by, this is a place I will eat at again, there is a upstairs open patio seating, or sit inside. It is across the street from the ocean.
Had a wonderful experience at this location. Rigoberto waited on us and was so kind and friendly. Delicious food and awesome view. We will definitely be back!
