Absolutely amazing sashimi, we had hamachi, tuna, and salmon and all three were as fresh as could be, and tasted amazing. The only issue my party had was that it took quite a while for our food to come, but other than that the service was amazing and the staff we extremely friendly. We came about 50 minutes earlier than our reservation, and they still seated us!!
Had the AYCE. Amazing quality and service! Didn't get any rolls, maximizing focus on the yummy fish! Pricey compared to other places, but TRULY WORTH IT!
Sushi was great. Best Philadelphia roll I've had -- and I've had a lot. Loved the Miso soup with mushrooms. The Aladdin saki was yummy and in a cool "genie lamp" bottle. Special place for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Not 5 stars because the service was just okay. Didn't offer anything special for our special day :/
Great place for some sushi. Recently went there on a week night, it wasn’t very busy but the food was good.
I honestly didn't know what to expect from this place and it blew my mind!! Everything we has was fantastic! We ordered the garlic edamame, grilled kale salad (OMG this salad!!!), Serrano hamachi sashimi, protein roll (This was so good I almost ordered another!), filet robata, veggie robata, and they even made me a special escolar sashimi. Seriously the best meal I had anywhere in Laguna beach! The server and manager were super cool as well! I will definitely be back if I'm in the area. Shoot, I may even take a ride from LA just for that salad!

In A Nutshell:
-Great location, parking lot was small, but had vacancies & there was metered-street parking available.
-The building design was slick, open entrance that leads to a nice-sized bar, a variety of booths/tables, a sushi bar and an outdoor patio area.
-I opted for the $34.95 all-you-can-eat sushi buffet. The choices were better than your normal all-you-can-eat sushi places.
-You fill-out a sheet indicating how many servings of each item you'd like. I was pleasantly surprised there isn't a limit (i.e. you could order 5 of the same rolls if you wanted).
-The fish was very FRESH.
-If you decide to order a bunch of stuff at once, make sure you start eating right away b/c the sushi will come very, very fast.
-They also have a Japanese IPA, very cool. Now I can look forward to visiting Tokyo again w/out being trapped drinking nasty lager beer.
-Read the fine print on the all-you-can-eat-menu (i.e. if you order too much or don't eat the rice, you'll get charged).
Overall, I'd definitely come back again to eat at Okura Robata Grill & Sushi. It's very well-managed and the service is very friendly and quick! You should come spend the evening at the beach and eat here :)
So I was looking for some sushi by the beach so I stopped by here. I enjoyed everything I ordered. The Marilyn Monroe roll was probably my favorite of the afternoon. The pricing is pretty reasonable as well.
Good option for sushi in the Laguna area. Good sake selection. Mushroom miso soup was great.
Great ambiance, reasonable prices, excellent sushi. We frequent this location and the Palm Springs establishment is fantastic too.
I never leave reviews, but I felt they deserve 10 stars!!! This place is the best. Do yourself a favor and join the fun here. The sushi is amazing. The atmosphere is booming and even the general manager came to greet me, make sure everything was perfect. (thank you Andrew) My wife and I felt valued and recieved the best service. Also, there is a great selection of alcohol!! Laguna beach at its finest. Thanks for making my date night a success.
I've gone here a couple times now and I think the sushi is delicious!! My grandma and I went recently and our waiter was friendly and checked up on us every now and then to make sure we were satisfied, to ask if we wanted to order more food, or to inform us about the dish if we had any questions. Also, we got our food right away! Not to mention, it is a super convenient location, right on the highway! There is loads of parking and the inside is very spacious and clean. There is a place for everyone and anyone, an outdoor seating area, a bar, and indoor space to eat. The food here is delicious and the price is reasonable! I definitely recommend going here.
Nice atmosphere and excellent food. If you are hungry the all you can eat is a value, however all of the diners at your table must opt in (last time it was $35 per person plus drinks) The menu is varied and the cooked items are also superb so its good for those not into the sushi thing as well. Service can be a bit slow when its crowded so order wisely and be patient. Easy valet parking is a plus.
The fact that we didn't struggle to find parking and were able to get a spot right in front of the restaurant on a Saturday night in March was such a relief. The food was excellent. Our server was very personable and attentive. This place is definitely on our list for future trips to Laguna Beach.
The ribs were delicious! The scalloped potatoes were interesting. They were served lasagna-style and tasted off. I took two bites and left the rest. The waiter was nice and checked on us regularly. All in all, I would go back.
