I have been dining at Splashes on and off for almost 25 years. They were and still are one of my favorite spots for dining by the water where I can truly enjoy a nice meal with my loved ones and special guests while listening to the splashes of the waves and watching the California sun setting above the ocean. If you are seated at the lobby level, make sure to walk to the lower level where you can enjoy the close-up views of the water and waves splashing against the big rocks below. Make sure charge up your phone battery for the great shots and videos you will end up taking! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

This is our MUST visit restaurant every time we come back to Orange County! The service is always top notch! Our waitress Alma and her helper Rafael were very attentive and always there when we needed them. The food is always outstanding! Lobster bisque, Tuna sandwich and Mahi Mahi tacos are our favorite. They usually open their floor to ceiling windows so it feels like you are dining on the beach. Highly recommend!

It was an awesome experience! Delectable dinner with an ocean view and excellent service. Server Patrick was particular about our comfort and experience. I had a wonderful birthday dinner with an amazing view.

We came here on a weekday night, so it wasn’t too busy. The server was attentive and friendly. The Icelandic Cod was one of the kind. It was tender inside and crispy outside. The chefs really know their stuff.

Our experience at Splashes was amazing!! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff treated us like royalty, and ocean views were magnificent. The only downside was the resort guests. Because this restaurant is located in the resort, you are underneath the guest room balconies. Having guests, especially children, constantly looking at you while you dine was a little unnerving. However, we soon forgot they were there and had a fantastic experience. Definitely recommend!

Took my mom here for her birthday and she can't stop talking about it. Neither can I. 10/10. Definitely recommend this for ANY occasion. This is the first time in a long time that I enjoyed EVERYTHING at a restaurant and was blown away. The view, food, drinks, and service were A1. Worth EVERY penny. This will be my new go-to spot when I'm in the area. The video posted was our view from our seats. Just breathtaking.

Beautiful spot with wonderful food and service. Jhoana did a perfect job, making us feel special as we celebrated our anniversary and made great recommendations. The steak and salmon were cooked perfectly to our liking. The chocolate crème brûlée was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had and paired with the Sherry, it was amazing.

My wife and I were staying at the Surf and Sand Resort so we went to their restaurant, Splashes, for lunch while we were waiting for our room to be ready for check-in. We also had dinner at Splashes on our last night. As others have said, the view is absolutely spectacular and the service is top notch. We wanted a very light lunch so we decided just to share their ahi sandwich. The tuna was peppercorn crusted and seared rare as it should be. The sandwich was served on fresh rosemary ciabatta with spicy pesto, avocado, and a unique spread called giardiniera (which is made from pickled ginger and hot peppers.) It came with a side order of fries which were nice and crispy. We spent about $85 including tax and tip which we thought was a bit high just for a sandwich, one can of beer, and one glass of wine. For dinner, we were seated in a quiet little alleyway below the main dining room with a glass partition separating us from the ocean (which was only a few feet away). It felt very special. My wife started with an heirloom tomato salad with burrata. Unfortunately, the tomatoes were way too hard with barely any taste. Her lobster bisque was unique, with the soup poured over a lobster salad at the bottom of the bowl. She liked the taste and the presentation as well. I started with the garden salad with baby spinach, strawberries, candied pecans, pickled onions and feta cheese on the side. It was ok, but over-dressed. My Colorado rack of lamb with merguez (spicy lamb) croquettes and sunchokes was tender and perfectly cooked. Our server was friendly and attentive. When he learned that this was a special occasion, he surprised us with a complementary chocolate Creme Brûlée for dessert. It was rich and creamy. When paired with an awesome cappuccino, it was the perfect way to end our meal.

This is a classy restaurant in a classy hotel. The restaurant offers a very nice view on the sea. Better having a reservation. The waitress suggested the scallops. They are just the biggest ones that I ever had and were very good in taste. The wine was very good even if quite young. The desserts were also good. The chocolate cake was a bit too cooked while being announced as fondant. Quality of ingredients: 5* Taste: 5* Quality of wine: 5* Ambiance: 5* Service: 5* Price/quality ratio: 4*

Great food and service! Patrick, Kody, and Tony were all wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful during our dinner experience. Fantastic at recommendations from dinner, to coffee to desserts! The view was gorgeous even on a cloudy day. The light spray of ocean water during high tide was refreshing!

Most spectacular view and amazing food. The waiters were very attentive. There was a miscommunication about a dish, but they made sure to quickly remedy it and checked in several times to make sure we were satisfied. They ended up giving us a complementary dessert for the mistake, it was unnecessary but greatly appreciated. I will definitely return.

Splashes is a high-end restaurant at the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, California. Hearing the sound from the ocean waves, I can appreciate the name of the restaurant. I had an early dinner at Splashes on a Thursday. The sunset was beautiful. The hostess was very friendly. Alejandro, my server was very attentive. The manager stopped by and I teased him for working too hard by carrying the dishes. Well, he said that was the spirit of good team work. The Crispy Octopus, Ribeye Steak, Bread Pudding were all good. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Laguna Beach.

I've been to Italy, but those cavatellis were probably the best pastas I have ever eaten. Plus, the menu has enough choice to provide quality for any preference. Both the exterior and interior tables are great with the view on the beach. The staff was extremely kind. We were running late and called them, and they extended our reservation time. Overall, it is a great restaurant to go for an event to eat good food in a small group (groups of 6+ have a 20% overcharge to my surprise). The valet is 10$ btw.

Always spectacular! Had the splash's burger. My favorite time to eat here is before breakfast closes up at 11:00. The splash's breakfast is the best! I love the little potatoes. The Crisp bacon & of course their eggs! You cannot beat the view! I would suggest calling about 2 days ahead to get a reservation, although lots of times in the morning they do have tables. If you're trying to book for later in the day I would definitely put in a reservation, especially dinner time! It's a great place to recharge, you can walk around and look in the gift shop. I usually stop and get a little cup of coffee in the cafe adjacent to the gift shop and sit out in the open area for a bit before returning to the valet. I believe the valet is $8. A very enjoyable afternoon!

Wow. My husband and I stayed at the hotel for our honeymoon was treated to dinner here the night of our wedding. It was unforgettable. The manager approached us congratulating us with a bottle of Prosecco. Our server was outstanding. The staff and incredibly accommodating and professional. The atmosphere was romantic and relaxing. The food...omg the food was an incredible experience. The lobster bisque, Brussels sprouts, pork belly, shrimps, and everything else we tried was absolutely perfection and was of such great quality. As a couple whose family members work in fine dining for some of the tops chefs in the world, we have ate at some amazing restaurants. Splashes is definitely in our top 5. This was the perfect place to end our wedding night. We can't thank the staff and chefs enough.
