LFC was a great stop for lunch on Front street for my family of 6. The view was awesome, service was good, and the food was quite good too. There are a lot of fresh, local ingredients on the menu, and a few fun, different offerings (artichoke fries, shrimp burger) & stand-by fish & chips were great!

We have eaten at Lahaina Fish Company many times before so we decided to go back to a familiar spot for lunch. Our server, Melissa, was very sweet and attentive. SHe is a definite keeper for LFC. We were pleasantly surprised to find that since our last visit, they have greatly expanded their menu to include 3 vegan/vegetarian entrees and even a vegan desert. (My wife is vegan). She had the Taro and Lentil burger, which was moist with a slight hint of curry. I had a new offering as well, the Beef and Lobster fajitas. They were both delicious. For desert, my had the mocha silk tofu desert. She insisted that I try it and it was the first tofu dish that I have ever liked (must have been the chocolate). HOWEVER, I got the Mana pie .... which is to die for. It is like a pecan pie but with macadamia nuts instead of pecans. Charlotte, the manager, was also very attentive and kind and came by several times to make sure we were happy. I wish there was a 4.5 star category, because that's where I would place LFC. I was very tempted to give it a 5 and I feel confident I could have justified such a rating, however, there were only two slight negatives in my opinion. One, the drinks tend to be pricey even at lunch unless you hit a "happy hour" and like the specific specialty drink. And two, the fajitas tend to be "doughy" and heavier than I like. I am sure LFC brings their fajitas in and I'm not sure how many options they have on the island, so it may be the only option for them. However, I am such a fan of their fish tacos (a staple on the menu) that I think the fajitas detract from the wonderful filling inside. Very minor points overall, but I like to give constructive suggestions whenever possible. None of what I have said should prevent you from stopping at this wonderful Lahaina spot. Ahh, what the heck .... since tripadvisor doesn't have half votes, I'll give them the 5-star. Mahalo Charlotte and Melissa!
After a long day shopping at Front st at Lahaina, we wanted to look for a dinner stop before heading back to our hotel. I picked Lahaina Fish Co as I remembered reading good reviews about it at some of the travel guides. We got a table right away and was ushered upstairs. Once we got to our table, we were totally blown away by the ocean view and we were in time for sunset! Wait staff are very friendly. Complimentary fresh bread was served with soft butter. As we were not that hungry, we ordered from the Hawaiian Fresh Fish section of the menu and picked MonChong ( big scale pomfret) and portobello mushrooms as a side to share. Food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this place if you're at Lahaina for dinner.
After a 20 minute wait we were seated on the deck looking out over the pacific. Sean promptly treated us and told us they had everything on the menu but the special. I had to default to my second choice, the teriyaki Ahi. The others in my party had the fish and chips and a salad. Salad was unimaginative but the tuna and mahi-mahi used in the fish and chips very fresh. Even though most foodies like rare, seared tuna, I ordered it medium. It was still served rare but second time they got it right and well worth the wait. Manager cared enough that they didn't get it right the first time, she made sure I was satisfied at the end of the meal. All in all, great meal in a great location at reasonable prices.
Lahaina Fish CO. was not only a treat for your stomach but a feast for your eyes! Friendly service, reasonable prices and delicious. Highly recommend finding a seat on the deck overlooking the endless ocean. Watch boat tours, dolphins and the yellow submarine going in and out of the bay. They were happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions. Casual vibe with lots of neat maps and trinkets to look at inside. If you're looking for a place to swing into for a quick bite as you roam the streets of Lahaina - look no further!
Lahaina Fish Co. (called Lahaina Prime Rib and Fish Co. from 2010 to 2012) is a restaurant on the ocean, at 831 Front Street in Lahaina, Maui. It is open for lunch and dinner. Phone 808-661-3472. Unlike other restaurants with just a couple fish choices, Lahaina Fish Company usually has five or six kinds of fish to choose from at dinner every night, each with a different preparation. Examples on any given night may include opah, mahi-mahi, monchong, ono, and ahi.
Decided to have dinner here as we were on Front St. anyway. Seated at a great ocean view table. The waiter was friendly and brought our drinks without delay. We ordered the black pepper scallops to start for $15.00. The order was delivered with only 3 scallops!! They were prepared nicely but the peppercorns were quite over powering. We waited 28 minutes for our main course. My wife had the macnut crusted Mahi Mahi and i had the Ahi Tuna. The flavor was ok but portions were quite small. We ordered the Key Lime pie with locally grown limes. There wasn't even a hint of lime but only a custard flavor. Shame!! The experience was average and we will try other fish restaurants and likely not return.

My dish was three ounces of fish on three ounces of rices with three ounces of veggies. So although it was very tasty I was hungry and $34.00 lighter when finished.
It was great food, great aviance. The restaurant is located up stairs and has great views of the ocean. Our waiter Andrew P made our evening, he was prompt and had a great since of humor. We will definitely be back!

Great view. We nearly missed this restaurant as the hostess standing outside with the plastic menu's turned us off. We thought it was a little cheesy. We stopped to look at the menu, and then saw the amazing view. My husband and I are so glad we didn't miss this place. We were looking for a quick meal before leaving for the airport to go home, so it was a little on the early side for dinner. This gave us a chance for a fantastic table. The service was great and the view is also great. The servers were all friendly and the manager was continually walking around checking on people and looking at tables. My husband ordered Ono, and it was the first time we had tried it, and it was lovely. Little more solid, similar to swordfish. I ordered the fish and chips, also really, really good. The bread was served with butter sprinkled with Hawaiian pink sea salt..... Very tasty. Everyone around us were ordering the Mai-tai's which were on happy hour, and they seemed to be enjoying them. I sadly could not, as I had to drive to the airport :-(
Don't miss this place, it is soooooo much better than it looks.
Fantastic view of the ocean while eating. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food came fairly quick and the quality of it was great. Evident that it was fresh fish. Maybe ownership has changed several times because of all the mixed reviews but this is a place you don't want to miss in Lahaina. Easy to get a table because in 'Murica cheeseburgers are the #1 choice (Cheeseburger in Paradise is right beside them).
Still great!. We've visited this restaurant once a year for the past three years and the prime rib and amazing view keep us coming back. When visiting again this year we were first disappointed to learn that they'd changed their menu and no longer served their King cut of prime rib. We still ordered prime rib however, and were thrilled with it. With a new chef in the kitchen, the food is even better than before and new menu items are creative and prepared with quality ingredients. Can't wait to visit again!

Very good food, but way overpriced! Really the only fine dining on front street though, so I guess it is better than kimos in that sense! If you get a seat by the water, look out, best sunset view in lahaina!
Touristy but nice. We ate here on our first day in maui. My husband ordered steak, while i order teriyaki salmon bowl, which i really enjoy. Our waiter was very attentive and i really enjoyed my food and the view.
Best meal so far. My wife and I just finished dinner here tonite. We reccomend . Crispy calamari was very tasty, my ahi was great and my wife had scallops which she liked though she thought they had a touch too much garlic. Service was excellent, water glasses refilled, meal was prompt, waiter attentive and the manager was welcoming and inquring of our opinion. We both agree we'll be back to eat at sunset when our kids join us. A great setting in open air along the railing looking out over the bay. Perfect!
Place has an awesome view.. Good food with an awesome view of the ocean.
Out of all the restaurants on Front street, this is the only one that I would classify as fine dining. The rest are just burger joints. It may seem a bit pricey, But this is Hawaii and you have to pay for good food. It is on the ocean with tiki torches and mellow music. The food and service is excellent. Aloha!

Better than it looks. We almost didn't go into this restaurant, because from the outside, it looks like a chintzy tourist trap, a fish 'n' chip/fried seafood joint. I read the bad reviews online, too. But the owner of the B&B where we were staying had given us a coupon for 50% off the second dinner we ordered, so we gave it a go.
I'm glad we did. For starters, we got a table right next to the rail by the water, so we could look out and see fish passing by. It's what you want when you're in Hawaii, eh? Our servers were great, but my wife and I are convivial talkers with staff everywhere, so we usually get back the good vibes we give out. My only gripe with the facilities was that there was a slightly funky, wet-carpet smell.
But you go to restaurants for the FOOD, not the ambience. We were pleased with what was on offer, because there was a lot that wasn't your cliched breaded-and-fried. I love scallops, and the ones I had seared and served with buerre blanc were fine. My wife also enjoyed her blackened ahi, and since she's a mashed potato fan, the ones Lahaina Fish Co. does with Maui onions were a good pick. Even the wine, a Kendall-Jackson chardonnay, was a good bottle at a decent price (for a restaurant, at least) of $37.
I don't get the negative reviews. I'd go back.

Years and Always Missed. I didn't know what I had been missing. For years I had walked by this restaurant while in Maui. Had a great night. Great food and our server was excellent.
$3 Mai Tai and very good service. Reserve a table if you want to sit by the water. Food was excellent. We got the Teriaki chicken an fish and chips and mud pie for dessert! Very good an nice atmosphere!!!

Been there with the other honeymooners and gawking tourists - learned it was ok to sit away from the edge so I woludn't be blinded or sunburned. Great view of Lana'i, competent food (prerequisite to keep open for over 30 years), decent booze in the drinks and you pay for the view whether or not they seat you directly at the water's edge.
Great views, and great service. Food was good, but you'd go here for the view more than the food. Happy hour drinks are a real bargain!
Awesome!! Went for valentines & the setting was perfect... Quaint & private. The strawberry, goat cheese, & walnut salad was AMAZING!!!! The salmon rolled in fresh locally grown lavendar over Maui mashed potatos and the lobster entrées were really really good too. Highly recomended..... Especially if your trying to impress a date :)
Great Chicken Dish. Wife and I enjoyed a quite night in Laihina, place was very empty and there was a guy in the corner that was playing his guitar like a pro to a rythem machine, rather impressive actually, A little LOUD though! turn it down a smidge") my chicken almost started to dance on the plate...

We were walking by on a Saturday night & able to get right in and were given a beautiful view. Our server greeted us right away with a warm, welcoming smile. Drinks were beautiful & well balanced. Excellent job!

Next we both had ribeyes. Honestly, mine was overcooked but flavor was good.

I thought the food was decent and portion size were awesome. The catch of the day was kind of dry for me, had to rely on salt to be able to swallow it. I was hoping for some gravy maybe.
We mostly split a dish between two of us which explains the portion size. Shrimp scampi was awesome though the bread with it was meh.
The bikini blonde beer was served at a not so cold temperature which made it not so good for me. I'm used to chilled beer.
WOW! What a gorgeous place to dine -- the view was amazing! Our server, Henry, was very attentive & friendly, and made excellent recommendations. We had the blackened Monchong Fish special topped with pesto sauce and served over buttered mashed potatoes. Also had an excellent Caesar Salad. Everything was, oh, so delicious!
This page is a great place to have drink and a meal. Make sure you sit on the balcony upstairs.

A fish co having a couple complete vegan options was shocking and then for their plant based options to be so delicious too?! It was such a pleasant surprise.
They had yummy mocktails, amazing squash stuffed vegan options along with a coconut curry. We also had the amazing vegan mousse for dessert. Five stars all the way around. Great customer service and fantastic views. Thank you!!
The best fish, sunset, and atmosphere on front street! They have pushed Kimos from the top spot with their incredible presentation, fresh and inspired preparations, all without the noise and crowd you find nearby. Best for a celebration dinner or a true taste of Maui, but well worth the price anytime. Shout out to the staff who were exceptionally courteous and appropriately attentive.
This is the place to be if you are visiting Lahaina, the staff is super friendly and nicest people. The food and drinks were amazing, we had the Tofu coconut curry rice , it smelled great as soon as it was on our table and tasted even better! Clam chowder was yummy too. The start of the menu was the desert Char Char Pie, its a MUST have , perfectly balanced and not too sweet.
A solid place to visit. Great waterfront views! The food and service were good. My only hold up with the food was that some of it needed just a little more seasoning (IMO), but I could definitely appreciate the flavors that were present. We tried some of their specialty cocktails and they were okay, but I would have preferred sticking with one of my go-to drinks (Old Fashioned or Manhattan). Overall, no real complaints on my end, I left satisfied.

Made a reservation for Thursday at 4:30. It was hot so we asked to sit in the shade with a view. They said sure, no problem. When we were sat, the table was in the sun. We told the girl and she had to go all the way back to the front. When she sat us again upstairs, it was in the sun. We just sat there because we didn’t want to be pain. Food was good, not outstanding. Was served quickly. Portion could’ve been a little larger for the price. Double shots of Tito’s were expensive. But hey, the view was amazing. Our waiter, Henry, was good. Would’ve been nice if he wiped the dripping sweat off his forehead before coming to our table. Will probably try a different place next time, but give them a try to see for yourself.
The Lahaina Fish Company was a great place to eat while out shopping. Its right on the ocean front with beautiful views.
I ordered the Maui Style BBQ pork ribs as a starter and thought they were well prepared (tender) with a homemade bbq sauce.
For my meal, I ordered the Island Fish Coconut Curry as seen in the photo. The yellow curry was tasty and blended well with the coconut milk. I did not think it was a very spicy dish but my tolerance may be slightly higher than average. The fish was well cooked and wasn't overcooked or chewy.
I highly recommend this place as a lunch/dinner spot if you are in the front street area.
