We are traveling with our dog and they were very welcoming and accommodating. They also provided a dog bowl for water. We sat on the porch and were able to order pizza or from the fancier restaurant next door. We had pizza and it was quite tasty. The pickle fries were the best we have ever had. Margaritas were very yummy as well.

Great drinks and a quick bartender! Will definitely stop back in when I’m in the area. Beware these drinks will sneak up on you, you can’t taste the alcohol at all. All drinks are very refreshing!

Ordinarily it would be fine but the drunk frat guy yelling kiss my a## for five minutes into his phone out on the patio was real distracting. Glad I dont have kids with me. Seems like language and manners are getting worse and worse. But I guess thats the kind of people businesses want to represent them. Ok, the food was excellent. Service was excellent. The duo band was not half bad.

After a long day of hiking in Big Bend, we headed to The Thirsty Goat for a drink. My husband and I each had a frozen margarita which was very good. The saloon is a few miles down the road from Terlingua, at Lajitas. There are large screen tvs and live music sometimes. The bartenders were very friendly. After finishing our drink, we we went outside and found an open air seating area with outdoor games. We were surprised at how pretty the area is. There are great views of the mountains, golf course, and lots of beautiful desert plants and flowers.

Great place to unwind. Great margaritas. They have a short menu also if you want to grab a bite but don't want to sit in the restaurant. The Thirsty Goat Burger is amazing.

This place is worth visiting for the lovely painting of the nude lady behind the bar alone. Beautifully appointed, lots of big, rich wood furniture and adornments like chandeliers and brass. Drinks are definitely on the expensive side, but you are paying for the location and the atmosphere. Food menu is available at the bar from the Candelilla Restaurant next door, with brunch on Sundays, but that's available seasonally. A nice place to eat once you have already been to all of the few places to dine in Terlingua. Pro tip: Order a Sotol Ranch Water and forget you ever heard about Tequila.

Traveling internationally for work, I've made Terlingua my home base........so, discovering this place was a solid win. The drink selection is the best in West Texas. All of the food was perfect the first time. If you enjoy the best bourbon and tequilas, you're in for a treat. Where this place really shines, is with the service. My bartender Chantal, was absolutely a ROCKSTAR. She knew what I wanted before I did! The staff went out of their way to make sure I was as happy as I possibly could be. A server, Daryl, who wasn't even my server, was available to give awesome local insight on the areas attractions! That's not only rare, it's refreshing. Especially in the desert. From this experience alone, they've earned a lifelong fan. Your people won me over.

This is a awesome place with absolutely beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately our service was very bad. We sat outside and the bartender told us she would be glad to provide table service, but never came to take our order. We went to the bar to order and found the bartender doing nothing and there was another bartender that had arrived who was also doing nothing. Great place good drinks and apps, but their service needs work.

Food had a great flavor and was a large portion. The honey mustard was a great addition to my sandwich and was refreshing on a hot summer day. The bartender and server were both friendly and willing to assist with any questions about drinks or food. You do not have to be staying in one of their rooms to eat/drink here before 5pm. After 5pm, only those staying in one of their rooms may be in the Thirsty Goat.

We had an amazing lunch stop passing through here! It's a great place to go before taking on the scenic drive on 170 to Presidio. We got a salad and a "Hot Brown" and both were awesome and fairly priced, given how nice the ambience is. Service was also excellent.

Luxury resort amenities at a place that you would not expect it..... Our lunch was top shelf and reasonably priced.... My wife loved her beef dip sandwich and my fajita salad had more meat on it than an entire steak at some restaurants. The atmosphere was amazing with outside views which were excellent and the service was very friendly. We are staying across the street at the RV resort but will certainly be returning to this place for more drinks and food. we are loving our stay just outside Big Bend national Park.
