I loved the atmosphere from the second I walked in. They sat us in the corner booth with champagne bottles decorating the walls behind us. Of course we had to take a few pictures! The wait staff was gracious. I was not crazy about my choice for meal - I had the fish & chips and felt that it could have been seasoned a touch more. But great drink selection and dessert was phenomenal. Overall a lovely experience!

This is a great little place! Thanks to Yelp we found another little gem. The food was amazing from the Brie appetizer to the main courses to the divine desserts. Great bar menu too. Lots of drink choices you are sure to find something on the menu especially if you like beer. Our server was so sweet and made us feel very welcome from the minute she said hello, she told us a little about the place and the events coming up this summer. We will for sure be back.

This place was amazing and the food is excellent. The service was on par. Everything is fresh and original. I had the chicken and waffles. Simply delicious. I also had the house bacon and it was cut thick. I will definitely be back here and try more things. The chef is great.

We literally stumbled upon this gem! Food is excellent, atmosphere and service are just wonderful. It is a rare thing to have all 3 of those things. Every time we leave, as we walk to the care we are still raving about the experience.

My husband and I had dinner there last night. Excellent food and service. He had the goat sausage with fries and I had the mushroom risotto. Both were delicious! Great place to go for a date night or with friends!

Server was delightful the food was delicious and it was a pleasure eating there. It's a great place to go on the way to see a show at the Genesee Theater too as there aren't any quality restaurants near the Theater. It's a charming restaurant and I'll be back

Nice atmosphere and the food and service was very good. Especially nice to swing by after a movie on a Saturday night and the place is still busy after 9:30p. A new go to place in the hood. Nice work!

The ambiance and experience in whole is five star. The green-friend tomatoes were delish as well as their creation of a Moscow Mule. I highly recommend Maevery and will be coming back in the near future.

A good friend was in town for the weekend and we decided to try the Sunday brunch at MPH - it did not disappoint! From the slinky atmosphere, flavorful and strong cocktails (we both had the MAEmosa's), to the delicious made from scratch food (deviled eggs appetizer, homemade pickles, BELT entree & Brisket Sandwich) we were in foodie bliss! The homemade tomato jam & ketchup (separate items) were yummy!! My only complaint - my over easy eggs in the BELT entree were a bit overcooked, the yolks were almost solidly cooked through. Service was great as well! Fix that and you have a winner of a restaurant!

I love it here!- .. so happy outside enjoying my Sunday brunch. Sweetest most wonderful little Love at the front- total Hostess with the Mostess, Marypat (and fun liquid bright blue eyeliner!). Very pleasant Server, Joy- very attentive, and accommodating to my Veganism And Vegetarian party. No pics, cuz I'm bicycling for hours and hours and saving my battery. But love love. I'll see be back, and try dining indoors- .. which is even more lovely.!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, lively, and aesthetically pleasing. The food is really tasty especially the fish and chips and the Berkshire pork shank. The brunch is also delicious and the mimosas are well made. There is a good selection of cocktails and overall they are pretty good. However, for the price I was left wanting. Most of the time I have had great experience with the staff being attentive, helpful, and friendly. The community it is located in is beautiful and has a wonderful park right across from the restaurant where events and folk can always be found enjoying the space.

Here for a Navy graduation & made an impromptu stop after receiving a recommendation from a previous employee. So glad we came by Laura M. and her colleagues were so warm her menu recommendations were spot on delicious😋. Also received info about the block parties and other events around town. The restaurant is small and very noisy. To be fair it was a Friday evening but the noise level was so much we could barely hear each other talk. The ambiance was nice and lively. I was very worried as a WOC but the staff was friendly and personable. The artichoke dip and pita chips amazing. The deviled eggs, not so good. Tasted very tart and vinegary. The dish I ordered was not what I was expecting. The flavor was very much lacking but the server offered to bring me something else which I was grateful for. It was the burger and fries. I’m not a beef person at all but this burger was absolutely delicious, juicy and seasoned well. The menu leaves a bit to be desired for me though. Seemed too fancy. I just have simple tastes and that’s ok too.

We picked Maevery last minute for our son's navy graduation dinner and it didn't dissapoint. They accommodated a last minute reservation and put us in a corner great table for easy catching up. Service was great (which we didn't experience in multiple fine dining restaurants downtown) and food was yummy and a good selection. .. they had awesome recommendations and treated us wonderfully! Didn't rush us and from 5-6pm we nearly had the place to ourselves before the dinner rush! Highly recommended by this out of town visiting family! Thank You (from Southern CA) We will be back if we are in Chicago again!

Best food I’ve had in this area, but definitely hit or miss on some items. The gnocchi is the reason for the 4 stars. Add the sausage and it’s wonderful! Tried it with chicken too, but the chicken didn’t have any seasoning. The saffron shrimp is very bland with no flavor. The Brussels sprouts were good enough for me to order twice, but the second time it didn’t live up to my standards. Tuna tartare is awful- wouldn’t recommend.

The best pub food we have ever enjoyed and in a clean, comfortable and well lighted, woody, modern setting. Their pork shank was beautifully plated, swimming in cheesy grits and tender to the point of not requiring a knife, perfectly spiced and prepared. We split a large side order of mashed potatoes as appetizer which was cheesy, creamy excellence. Their eight ounce filet was likewise perfectly prepared and delightful. A pleasing wine list includes The Federalist red on tap and splits of a wondrous French sparkler! Our waitresses always have been superb during many previous outdoor visits and yesterday for our first indoor experience. By far our favorite restaurant. We gladly drive for about an hour specifically to visit Maevery.

To be perfectly honest, the food here confused me. Almost everything was good, but nothing was incredible except for the gnocchi. It was comfort food, but everything was spicy for some reason. The shrimp said it would have sriracha honey on it, and but I couldn’t really get the flavors coming through on that. Then when my fried chicken and sweet potato waffles came, the chicken was loaded with sriracha honey. The chicken was delicious, however, it was a chicken and waffles Sunday Special. The sweet potato waffles were definitely not sweet potato waffles, but maybe just a plain waffle? The atmosphere was homey, but then it also had a metal pig’s head on the wall, and then there was a fancy wall of white wine. I just wasn’t quite sure what the atmospheric direction was, and didn’t exactly know what to make of my surroundings. The place was supposed to feel like home to everybody, but it didn’t 100% work on the atmosphere. However, it did work very well with the food. Grilled cheese, chicken and waffles, ribs, brisket, gnocchi… they hit the nail right on the head for finding that one comfort food for everyone. The gnocchi was stellar, very soft and doughy. It wasn’t too chewy and the sauce was quite exceptional. I would definitely recommend that if you are confused on what to get here as there is a lot to try. I’m not really trying to insult this food in any way, but nothing was too special and while it was good, everything was spicy. The brisket, the chicken, the ribs… wasn’t bad, just very strong and spicy. The ribs were nicely grilled, on a plus side. Definitely something to try out if you’re feeling adventurous for spicy food.

Love this place. The food is excellent. Can be a bit loud but that's ok. Service is can be a bit slow but that's ok too. The food and cocktails more than make up for it. We kept wanting to try but could never make over. Once we did we have been three times in the last couple of weeks. The pork shank is amazing, gnocchi was superb, make sure you add the sausage. Monk fish special with mussels was great. Will try the pork chop on my next visit but it takes 25 minutes to prepare. That's ok it will give me time to try one of their personal cocktails.

This place surprised me. Walked in and was freaked out by how nice it was. A very small fine dining experience. Food was fairly, decently priced. Was very good. Staff was friendly. The warm lighting made me feel good and warm. Place was nice. Loved it.

We had shishito peppers, Calamari and tuna tartar - all good.calamari was corn-crusted, which made it a little rough. Fish and chips for main dish was very tender , but also corn crusted. Good wine and beer (bottles) list

The Maevery House…. Where do I begin? Fade to a bustling eatery and bar. I walk in and am immediately greeted by a comfortable, inviting atmosphere. The music is as homey as it is adventurous. The rotund bartender, Sam was as cool as this emoji: 😎. Meanwhile, our thick mustached server Marc delivered food with grace. Would recommend for a first date or a break up.
