We've been here 4 or 5 times. Once with our 4 children and a few more times just the wife and me. I have many health issues that limit my eating out-options, so we were very leary the first time, but it was so good we just keep going back! We try to find any excuse to go here, it is SO good. Trust me, I'm a picky guy and get sick very easily. They take care of their customers here. I can ask them do to anything gluten/dairy free and they do it with kindness and smile. I hope they never change because we've finally found the spot we've been searching for! Just amazing atmosphere, friendly service, very competent and extraordinary food.
Clean excellent staff came to Portland cuz my bird sick and was recommended to eat here we have not had good food since we left California so I was very impressed
Every time we visit Portland we have dinner at Thai Basil. The food is delicious and it's authentic. I lived in Thailand for three years and it's as close as Thai food you can get here in the states. The service is great and all the wait staff are friendly, plus they all speak Thai. Love it!
Love this place the food and service 100% plus! If you love Thai food this is the best restaurant in town!
Great atmosphere, friendly waitstaff, reasonable prices for lunch and dinner hours, and quick, delicious food for either dine-in or take-out! I eat here at least once a month because I haven't found a place that does thai better!
Pad Thai and service is good. Would recommend people to go.

We've been enjoying Thai Basil for many years. It's our "go to" family restaurant. We live in the Murrayhill area of Beaverton and we gladly make the drive to Thai Basil!! Our family favorites are the fresh salad rolls, Tom Kha soup, shrimp pad thai, Thai Basil fried rice, Panang curry with shrimp or chicken and the garlic Basil stir fry. The coconut ice cream is amazing for desert.
I made a mistake the first time I posted and gave them a one star! Now I can fix it. They are nothing less than wonderful; food and service top notch.

The best Thai food I've ever had! Consistently excellent!
Delicious food and great service! Very clean and one of the most balanced menus I’ve encountered for a Thai restaurant. On my most recent visit we came with a large and multilingual group. Waiter was very patient in answering questions and getting the orders right. I have great respect for the cooks who churned out dish after dish - all excellent and very satisfying. If I lived in the neighborhood I would become a regular!
Although it is often busy we found a seat easily. Ordered appetizers, combination plate. I really enjoyed the egg rolls and shrimp wonton wraps. The spicy chili sauce was my favorite of the two. I recommend it. Spicy eggplant was quite good, didn't ask for a spice level, don't know if that's an option. Could be spicier but the dish was very good, we decided that it would have been better to just have eggplant with no added protein. Also got the house special, peanut sauce special. Did not like it, too simple, might be a good introduction to a lightly sauced Thai dish, so it depends what you're looking for.
Traditional Asian restaurant decor, lots of seating, quick service. This reminds me of some of the places we went to in the 80s & 90s. It's great for a work lunch because the portions are perfect - I don't feel like I need a nap afterwards. The menu has lots of choices, including vegetarian. The prices are very reasonable! The taste is simple. The ingredients are good. We will be back!
I came back yes indeed, is flavourful. Can't stop eating it yum. After 2 years. I came back for work and this was the first place I came to.
Got the masaman Veggie curry this time. Yum

We ordered takeout from this place and picked up our order. The food was delicious. We got the drunken noodles, the basil fried rice, and a salad roll. The lunch prices were reasonable, and the food was on point. The atmosphere in the restaurant was not the greatest. It looked like the dining room doubled as a storage area for empty cardboard boxes. We weren't too bothered, though, since we weren't dining in. We will definitely be back for takeout.
I’ve eaten at Thai Basil a couple of times now and their food is very good. The only reason I have subtracted one star is because the calamari was extremely poor quality, very chewy, and fishy(not fresh, or fresh frozen). That being said, the other proteins I have eaten are delicious (chicken, pork)
Anyways, I would really like ownership to know that I am ok, and willing to pay the up-charge of a good quality calamari. I really love a fresh tender calamari and would love to see this restaurant get a better vendor for that product.

This place is amazing. I travel for work and I'm really bummed I don't have thai food like this where I live. The deep fried shrimp wraps were phenomenal!!
The food is tasty and the staff is friendly. One star is subtracted because the amount of food is small, and the spice level is very low. 3/4 spice level tastes quite mild.
Really solid and well prepared Thai food, delicious and ample serving size! I requested medium spicy and it was just nicely spicy, but as always it does build up. Excellent staff, and the decor is relaxing. Very good service for gluten free people also - lots of choices! Highly recommended.

I’ve been trying to find some authentic Thai food around the Tigard area and am happy to report that Thai Basil has some OUTSTANDING food. It’s seasoned just right and the ingredients were of great quality.

It seemed too quiet at first...but apparently we beat the rush by a few mins. This place was busy for a Saturday at lunch time! Which is always a good thing. My wife and I tried this place on a whim, and we are glad we did. We ordered the combo plate appetizer to try the most variety, and I ordered the pot stickers...well because I love pot stickers. The golden rolls are amazing, as is the Satay chicken skewers. The pot stickers are deep fried vs pan seared which was new for me. None the less they were very good. We both ordered pad thai's her chicken, me tofu just for variety. I'm not big on tofu, but this was delicious! I highly recommend Thai Basil the decor is very nice, and they even had real flowers on the table!
The BEST Thai food nearby. I eat here a few times a month and am always impressed. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. About half the time I do takeout and the food keeps really well and tastes fresh and hot still by the time I'm home.
Well maintained cleanliness in the restaurant. They serve delicious Thai dishes at reasonable prices. Good for family as well as business meeting. Will come back soon.

Surprisingly alright, I definitely enjoyed their house made hot sauce. All the food on our table looked great. My meal had decent flavor and the temperature was good also.
