The cafe is adorable & the staff is so friendly. My friends & I shared a couple different flavors & the beignets, loved each one! The best was the chocolate cafe au lait

Small space and crowded, but that only makes it a special place. Pastries were fresh and the coffee was excellent.

Not your daddy’s Winchell’s! 🍩 NOLA Doughnuts 🍩 are by FAR the best donuts in the Portland area and possibly the universe! Voodoo, Blue Star and Sesame Donuts are not even close! noladoughnuts #delicious #heaven

Hands down the BEST doughnuts I've ever had in my life. I've tried nearly every doughnut in their shop and I gotta say the vanilla frosted is the best thing I've ever ate in my entire life. Their beignets are nothing short of amazing and I could eat them everyday and never grow tired of them! Oregon is so lucky to have a small, heavenly piece of New Orleans in Lake Oswego...And I feel so lucky to live just up the road! I'll be venturing into LO a lot more for NOLA

Seriously delicious...and they offered me free refills on my coffee, which was also extremely delicious. Half chicory coffee and half hot chocolate paired with an order of fluffy beignets!! The staff was very friendly and attentive as well. Definitely 5 stars!!

Apple fritters are the best ever. Bacon maple has an unexpected kick of heat. This place makes the Portland pink box (who shall remain nameless) look like the day old shelf at a supermarket.

Everything was delicious especially the Apple Fritter and the beignets!! Yumm!! And everyone was so nice to us. The chef even came out twice to ask us how we liked everything! We are from out of town and we can see why our friend so highly recommended this place! Go there!!

Arrived a bit before 9 when they opened. The lady opened the window and asked for my order. I ordered one of everything in the window, about 26 donuts if I recall correctly. Let me say. I'm SO glad I did. Normal donuts make me sick because they're so sugary and sickly sweet. These were donuts designed for an adult palate. Complex and interesting flavor combinations and a variety of dough styles - brioche, croissant - and NOT overly sweet. The hands down favorite was the croissant style donuts - flaky layers of deliciousness - but even the donut holes were incredible. I will 100% be returning next time I'm in town.

Oh my cronut! This place is amazing. I am a first timer, and these are amazing. So I got the brioche, and the maple and they were both different and incredible. So worth the drive. The service was very quick and polite as well.

Tiny donut shop with very few selections available (perhaps we were too late?). Nonetheless, the peach tea donut was awesome. Free parking for this plaza is in the back. Easy in and out.

Another great find. The atmosphere was very Big Easy. From the color on the walls to the music playing in the background. Their doughnuts were scrumptious. They were flaky and messy but worth it!! Haha. I sometimes like it when my food is messy! Haha. I recommend their Beignets!! One of my top favorite doughnut shops in the metro area. They also have a Happy Hour from 2pm-4pm.

Pictured: Maple Glaze with Cream Cocoa Nib with Sugar and Gamache, Apple fritter, and Butter Pecan Scrumptious donuts (La'ssants style, made with layered pastry dough over 3 days) in a variety of unique flavors that don't fail to please. The dough is perfectly decadent and dense, sure to satisfy even the hungriest of breakfast seekers (I found myself eating half what I usually do). All the different flavors were delicious, though for us the Maple Glaze stood above the others. The cream filling really taking both the texture and flavor profile to a new level. While not as "on the radar", perhaps, as other Portland breakfast pastry establishments, NOLA brings a unique style at a quality that cannot be missed, and deserves a slot at the top of considerations

Found out about this place from picking up an order. The doughnuts were so beautiful I took a moment to snap a picture. Finally made it back that way to try one of their offerings. Got the Chocolate Ganache La'ssant doughnut. Tasted pretty good and definitely would have liked more ganache on it. Wasn't too sweet. A little spendy, but worth a try. Customer service is good 👍.

They're not 5-star phenomenal but the service was friendly & helpful & the donuts are creative. We may have visited in an off day based on other reviews because the beniegts were so-so. We ordered three orders of beniegts (1 without sugar) & ate them warm & fresh as recommended but again, they were just so-si We bought 8 donuts for later & they were delicious!!

Cute little place, seating is some what cramp but very friendly and inviting. The Beignets are quite good. Very close to ones I have had in New Orleans. Friendly staff, could be a tad cleaner but it does not bother me. I would come back.

These are la'ssant doughnuts, similar to a cronut. Tried the salted double chocolate, vanilla and lemon poppyseed. All were delicious. Their shop is in Lake Oswego, but you can find the doughnuts in select markets like New Season's and Zupan's. Doughnuts are around $4-5, a little expensive but worth trying!

Their lemon poppyseed donuts are very good! I came here for the New Orleans beignets, which was not a disappointment.

NOLA is a welcome addition to the PDX donut scene. Not as over-the-top as Voodoo, but higher quality ingredients and seriously tasty. The La'Ssant donuts made with croissant dough are excellent. Beignets are a NOLA strength. Fried to order, they are best while still piping hot. Unfortunately the Lake Oswego location is not up to the standards of the NW joint. Beignet dough tastes good but it's too dense and weirdly textured. Stick to the downtown branch for these.

Yummy New Orleans style beignets and doughnuts. Hot beignets covered with confectioners sugar and dipped in variety of sauces are divine. Shop is small and may be busy.

If a doughnut and a croissant had a baby, you'd get these amazing creations. Nice local shop with a touch of New Orleans... Beignets, coffee with chicory, and really creative donut flavors which have a French influence to them.

The best donuts around! Had the made-to-order beignets (the best!), apple fritter, maple bar, and a few other donuts.
