Reviews Flying Pie Pizzeria

Even though the prices have gone up, flying pie pizza is probably the second best piizza value next to Costco. One pizza weighs about 50 lb I think. And it's full of toppings and just downright delicious. If you've never been to flying pie, you have to go check it out. We had a combination of pizzas with lots of meat and then my girlfriend had a pizza with veggies on it but they were both delicious. If it's just two people, get a small and if you want to feed your entire family, get a large. That'll probably get you enough food for leftovers the next day. And as I listen to other people that came in after us, I think you can actually buy a pizza by the slice also.

We visit often, it’s our go to for pizza. The consistency is not always there but this weeks pie hit the spot. We ordered extra sauce and it was delicious.

Solid manager, Kevin, holding this place down. 20 people showed up during lunch rush and he was by himself. He still had a good attitude and told ppl the correct wait time, but most importantly, pizza was delicious. This business is lucky to have him there.

Flying Pie is part of old Portland. They've been around for a long time, and that's because they continue to crank out tasty pizzas that are stacked with toppings! They don't emphasize cheese, which is fine by me. Most places depend on cheese too much, and skimp on toppings. Not here. Can you believe breadsticks are only 25 cents? No way! Locations are spread around town pretty well, (NE, N Po, LKo,) with the possible exception of the west side. Keep doing what you are doing guys!

My husband and I were hungry one night after some intensive labor throughout the day. We decided to look at places local to our surroundings and saw a pizza place we hadn’t heard of but had good ratings. Why not? Stepping inside, we were surprised to find substantial seating, cozy half booths, a retro arcade, and gaming / movie memorabilia to make any 60-90’s gamer fan geek out in awe. We also noticed (not sure if intentional) that who appears to be the owner or manager dressed in green like Luigi and his cohort dressed like Mario in Red to match the theme of the kitchen (which is decked out in Super Mario murals). Truly a place for all ages. The staff are courteous, friendly, and if you give a tip, you get the pleasure of hearing the bell ring (and appreciation from the staff when the bell goes off). A European tapas/bar tradition. The servings are generous and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. Quoting my party, “Best pizza I’ve ever tasted in the 45 years of my living. This stuff is amazing!” A hidden gem in Lake Oswego, a mom n pop worth visiting and enjoying a slice. 🍕 Update: Round two on 11/18/19 Equally awesome (updated Picture too! Love the price and value for what you get.)

A solidly above-average FP location (in many ways, just apply these thoughts to the other FPs in this area, since the Boise ones are different, if similar, beast). There is a bit of a wait. But the pizza is good. They have options for those with particular dietary issues. The costs aren't high when compared to similar options (and given that every pizza place, even those nasty-by-nature options, has raised prices). Staff can be hit-or-miss. But, generally speaking, they seem chill, take your order, and get it to you in a reasonable amount of time. It would be nice if they had soda water on tap, and not just regular water in a jug. It would also be nice if they brought back the salad bar (and/or revised their online menus to note that it is no longer offered). Honestly, the salad bar was one of the other reasons I went to FP pre-pandemic. I assume it is a cost issue, even if salad bars tend to be a fairly high-margin aspect of business. Perhaps it is a staffing issue. I don't know. I just wish they would bring it back. Oh, and some of the negative reviews? Hmm. Skimpy ingredients? No, not really. Long wait times? Maybe if they are busy. Too expensive? See above. Or how about negative reviews with no explanation? Guess that itchy Google-finger (and perhaps some other issues) just made you start typing. Hope you feel better soon . . . and you must feel lucky that people don't randomly review you negatively for no good (or clear) reason. But, again, for pizza, FP is a solid, above-average option.

I love Flying Pie Pizza!! This is now the only place I will eat pizza. I want to tell you why, when I moved here in 2015 my wife told me about this place and told me to order a pizza (by the way i should have listen to her). I called and placed an to go order her Hawaiian and then for me a meat lovers. My wife told me that I should order only three toppings because any more and it be to much. She is smaller petite lady and i didnt listen I ordered all the meat topping. I like my pizza with a lot of toppings i get tired of ordering meat lovers and there never enough toppings. Well Flying Pie is not one of those places. I went and picked up the pizzas and when I grabbed then and begin to head out I stopped and was like why is this so heavy there was only two pizzas. I went to the table and checked them out. I opened the meat one and to my surprise there was a mountain of meat on my pizza. I was so confused. I came home told my wife I should have listened to her. I ended up eating my pizza with a fork since there was so much toppings and I only ate two pieces. Now any time I go there I only order three toppings I learned my lesson, which in reality wasn't a bad lesson. I love this place, the owner is an awesome man, huge star wars fan and has awesome decoration around the restaurant, I encourage anyone who love pizza to go here.

Best pizza around and nicest workers. I travel from Willamina Oregon to just get pizza here, it's about an hour away. It's worth every bite.

There is a reason I come back here with friends and family! The food is excellent, and a great price! The staff are always cool people, and the atmosphere is 80s arcade and feels right! It is a kid friendly place where you can still have a beer, a slice and a salad from the salad bar! The lunch special is awesome too! A slice with a salad, breadstick, and a drink! No complaints from me, only satisfaction! Thank you!

I bring my friends and family back here for a reason. Excellent cuisine at a great price! The staff is usually friendly, and the 80s arcade ambience feels great! It is a family-friendly establishment where you may still order a drink, a slice of pizza, and a salad from the salad bar! The lunch special is also fantastic. a slice with a salad, breadstick, and beverage! I have nothing except satisfaction to say. Much obliged!

This place has great pizza! I always enjoy stopping by and ordering a pizza to go while drinking a pint or 2 while a wait. There's ample parking and the staff is always friendly. IMHO...best pizza in the area.

Solid pizza, nice place, good service. The bathroom was clean and my order took about twenty five minutes to fulfill (large pizza and a sub). The pizza while solid had no outstanding characteristics, the sauce was as expected, cheese and toppings seemed like typical fair, and the crust was simple but baked flawlessly.
