The food is amazing. The service is always nice. Very friendly. They are extremely clean. Awesome place to eat.
The most tender lamb I have ever had by far. The meal was good and filling. The Arabian nights iced tea was not good however.
This is a hidden gem of a restaurant.The best tasting middle eastern food I've had in a long time. It isn't fancy but that's what makes it so charming. The Mezza platter for appetizers had a great mix for everyone to pick on while waiting for the main dish. The bread accompanying the appetizers pleasantly surprised by how soft and delicious it was, not the typical pitta bread I was expecting. We all ordered something different and all of it was excellent, so we had to pick from each other's plates. I think for the first time in a long time I came away thinking that my experience was much more than what I paid for. Highly recommend you check it out.
My wife and I have been coming here for years, and even though we moved to Seattle three years ago, we still drop by when we're in the area. We ate there today, and were happy to see that Arabian Nights is still the gem it's always been.
In addition to a delicious meal (lamb shank, zataar pie, and labneh plate,) we were treated to a complimentary tea service at the end - a perfect end to a perfect meal.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is top-notch, and the food is some of the best in the area.
The best secret in Lake O... period. It's not the faniciest... it's purely the best food. genuine middle eastern cuisine, for extremely reasonable pricing. You can reserve a booth to sit traditionally with a group making it really fun and relaxing. Pick you dish and you will love it.
Beautiful middle eastern decor. Exceptional staff. My first time here for breakfast they were hosting a chamber of commerce meeting. I was invited in by the owner and offered food as one of the group despite not being dressed the part. I told them I was there to buy breakfast and they still insisted I sit down and partake in the food with them.
I had a wonderful time here. All other Persian restaurants in my area were closed when i called at 8:45pm and even though Arabian Nights closed at 8:30 the staff welcomed us for a 9:15 dinner! We sat on the floor booths took our time to order then food came... We had many dishes that others recommend on these review and they were quite good, robust savory flavors and refreshing yogurt sides. This really hit the spot for us. Then (from what I could tell) Host/Chef/Everything for the night gave pleasant conversation and a no rush attitude even though we held him there more than an hour after closing. We were treated like kings and ate like kings as well, 5 stars!
Simply perfect ! One of the best traditional atmosphere that you find in the whole area and Portland. Plus, you can find different varieties of Arabic food. Also, I can say that they have the best baklava that I have tried so far. Five star for sure !
So delicious. Really nice owner. The lentil soup is the best I have ever had. Falafel is super crispy and the veggie kebabs are perfectly seasoned.
Yummy food, friendly staff, great ambiance!! Recently met with some friends to celebrate a friends birthday, we had so much fun. We sat in one of the booth and Aladdin the owner was so kind and attentive, he brought us tea and yummy pastries. Amazing!!!
Ordered a few different items from their menu to share with some coworkers. Everything was ready within 15 minutes, and the Manager was so friendly when I came in, that I was almost tempted to sit down and eat! ...All three of us that ordered food LOVED what we got, and the fresh Pita & Hummus with Kalamata Olives is the besttttt. I can't wait to make this hidden gem one of our 'usual' lunch spots during the week, and to try some other delicacies on their website!
Highly recommended for delicious cheap middle eastern food. Try the chicken shawarma sandwich and get addicted. I think the food is really worth double the price. Highly recommended. Has a parking lot. Nice middle eastern atmosphere. My kids love the food there.

It's worth every minute of the 1 hourdrive for our picky family of 4 to eat here . We have exposed our 2 teenagers to food from all over the world and there favorite is Arabian Nights right here in Portland. The owner, Aladdin (his real name) is a joy to be around and always has time to catch up and a friendly smile .
Although they were very busy on a Friday night, the food was AMAZING and the staff was very kind. Every bite was just as delicious and flavorful as the last. Definitely a gem of Lake Oswego!
The food is incredible. However, they keep the temperature so cold we wished we had blankets. We wish they had brought us hot tea earlier in the meal.
