Review Qdoba Mexican Eats - Lake Stevens

I love the food but the service is where this place lacks. I am not one to complain but I have gone in many times and the staff is not friendly and when they are busy they seem annoyed and literally just throw your food together and push you out the door. The reason I am writing this review is because we ordered food from door dash and we were missing one of our burrito bowls and we called and were told that they couldn’t do anything about this.. the bag was clearly sealed TIGHT.. there was no way the driver took the food. The door dash driver was very friendly, but when we called QDoba the attitude the staff gave us was uncalled for and so so rude! Not even an “I’m sorry this happen” just got told they couldn’t help us and it was clear they were annoyed we called .. I have seen how they get when they are busy and I am sure they just completely forgot to make the bowl and were just trying to get the order out of the way. The staff has always been a downside to this place... I am not sure I will ever come back to this location. Such a bummer!!

I wish to have someone who can explain to me why restaurant is selling food if restrooms are closed. As everyone know, during pandemic the most important is too keep your hands clean. I can’t go to this particular Qdoba for lunch just because they decided to close restrooms. What’s funny, that Qdoba is one of my favorite place for lunch, but definitely not on this location. Restrooms MUST BE OPEN IF YOU SELL FOOD, period.

Interesting. Appears that my initial review from Jan 16, 2021 may have been deleted. To reshare, I ordered two quesadillas to go and as I was eating mine I bit into something that I thought was an undercooked bean. IT WAS A PIECE OF CHEWED UP CHEWING GUM!!! THERE WAS A PIECE OF CHEWED UP CHEWING GUM IN MY FOOD! HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?! IN A PANDEMIC, NO LESS! I'm beyond disgusted. It took over 24 hours for someone to contact me. Finally a QA person reached out and I put in my complaint with them. On the 18th I finally get a call from the Owner who, instead of profusely apologizing or at least trying to apologize, immediately launches in to a defense of her team and restaurant saying, "no one on my team chews gum" and "everyone wears masks". Well, Jana, apparently they do not, because there was chewing gum inside my food. I'd stay away from this place or at least double check your food before eating it.

Update to my previous 2 star review. Within a day or so the owner reached out. I really appreciated the fact that she didn't make excuses and took good care of us by replacing our order. What my wife and I were surprised about was that since this happened we have ordered 3 times and it has been perfect. Last night we ordered the chicken street tacos. Even though we are in the 3 Lakes area and Qdoba is basically South Lake Stevens the food was warm and the presentation was perfect. I really appreciate the leadership, customer service and your ability to take customer complaints as opportunities rather conflict. We will be back soon. Seriously the quality of the ingredients has been amazing from the start. Thank you!

Okay, I'm not the person to complain about service because I'm very easy to please, but please if you go here ask to portion generously because one of my bowls wasn't even halfway full. Definitely going to chipotle next time, terrible portions. They don't know y'all have a family to feed so let them know!!

First time eating from Qdoba and this food was excellent and Lake Stevens Qdoba had a super awsome crew as well. Greeted quickly, food was hot and delicious. No place to leave gratuity on credit card receipt and that was the only bummer. Thanks again !!

Olivia was such a huge help! I’ve never eaten at qdoba before and she helped me along the way and answered all my questions! I’m definitely a creature of habit and don’t like to go out of my comfort zone but I will defiantly be back! I’m excited to get home and try my burrito out!!

Went in today at 5pm. One person working on a large catering order. One person in the front and one person cooking a lot of meat. Waited in line 15 minutes and we were seond in line. No drink options but diet in the machine, no ground beef, and no guacamole. The food counter was a gross mess, the garbages were overflowing and the tables hadn't been wiped down n who knows how long. The rice was tasteless. We will NEVER return.

There's no doubt I should've taken the one minute I just did now to look at the yelp and FB reviews. Have always loved Qdoba and we normally go to the location in smokey point, but we moved a couple weekends ago to South Marysville We are now much closer to this location in Lake Stevens and went for the first time last night. We normally love Qdoba and especially the locations in the Vanvouver/Portland areas but to be honest this one was the worst experience yet and the $38 I spent on three kids meals and two adult entrées was way overpriced! The pie line behind the counter was an absolute mess and there were pieces of food in our food that shouldn't of been there because they just slob the toppings and carry other left out for I don't know how long food remnants! At one point I had two or three different employees trying to figure out what my three knockout tacos were and what went in them. How about having an ingredients guide in front of you near the pie line instead of having to turn around and look up over your other employees shoulders to see what it says on the big board menus? I was asked at three different times what tacos I ordered again and when they asked me what I wanted I had to repeat myself three times because the guy was not listening to me after he asked me a question. This was an unbelievably bad experience! I wish I had taken a picture of my tacos because you couldn't even see the tortillas at the bottom of my tray and they stopped using the metal dividers which used to keep the tacos separated for some weird reason? My wife had the fire grilled shrimp rice bowl and for a nine dollar bowl it tasted terrible! The shrimp was overcooked and tasted like Tim and sitting out for hours on end. They have these canister garbage cans and have little holes in the top the next really difficult to throw anything away and then they don't empty them often enough so if you're not careful you get a bunch of food compost all over your hands. There was more but those were the biggest issues and we will not be planning to go back to this Qdoba until they get things fixed up and clean up the restaurant and clear the tables a few times and wipe them down so that patrons can at least enjoy eating in a clean environment. We'll do Taco time next time for sure.

Revisited today and still trashy! Changing my 2-star to a 1-star Like your food, but this place continues to be filthy!!! You need new management!!'

Qdoba... WE NEED TO TALK! Yesterday was the breaking point. Your restaurant (I use that term loosely) was filthy, unapologetically out of nearly half the items (hours before closing) and your staff was rude. I was given water cups for myself, my husband and my one year old. The water was filled with dirt and grime! Hundreds of particles in a small cup of water and I had already given some to my daughter who is now SICK! When approached, the staff member stated that he was aware of the problem and that it had been like that for a while and the reason it was producing grime was because it needed to be cleaned! He knew this and served us water without warning and he didn’t apologize whatsoever. I am reaching out to the news, health department and corporate office. I NEED a response TODAY, or I will get very serious about legal action.

I am disappointed that there are reviews here have so much in common. I came in at 12:35pm on a weekday the place was nearly empty (first warning). The coke freestyle machine had nearly no options??? No diet options at all! And a woman came in after me and even stated "you still don't have any diet options?" seriously, how often does this happen? I took pictures of the machine after that statement, because I wanted to let corporate know of this issue. Food is good but service is spotty. The person who made my food actually had a personality (interesting analogy of the beer cheese queso). Even though most of them seem to be severely depressed working there. But I noticed a young man wearing a tan Qdoba shirt walk into the store and behind the counter. Then everyone was smiling and attentive and the music finally started in the lobby, must have been the manager. Guess he should never leave the store. It would be a interesting episode on undercover boss for sure! (if they did one)

I've been there a few times and I like to get the fajita vegetables in my burrito bowl. I've always thought they seasoned a little bit too much with their herbs, but yesterday the vegetables had SO MUCH oregano herb mixture, they tasted AWFUL. I was going to complain but I'm kind of a wimp in this area. So here I am, and I hope the manager/owner/person in charge reads this and does something about the herb seasoning on the fajita vegetables. I don't even think they need the herbs. Also, PLEASE for the love of everything that is holy, DON'T OVERCOOK THE CHICKEN... it's almost always charred so much that it tastes dry and bitter. (I had the shrimp yesterday and they were good.). Edited to add: the tables are almost always dirty. I love Qdoba, but this location needs work!

Last few times the kids have all been goofing off behind the counters... and they have been out of everything! Today... No rice, no shrimp, no guacamole at 5pm Saturday? Seriously disappointed in the decline of service and quality.

Bad customer service and always out of food.

I'm sure no one from Qdoba reads these but worst customer service experience. Only one customer in front of me being helped, I waited well over 5 minutes in line while the manager stood at a table with another employee eating food instead of coming over to help. When she did finally come over and I voiced my displeasure with the customer service she didn't say anything but ended up after a couple minutes going in the back and talking with an employee that was just starting and I could tell she was talking about me and giving me a dirty look. The other employee came out to ring my purchase and I made a comment that someone should say something about the managers customer service and the employee she was eating with starting arguing with me about the manager did nothing wrong and the gal that rang me up didn't give me my receipt but left it on the machine so I had to take it off and didn't bag my food. Highly doubt I'll be back I'll I will discourage everyone I know from going here!!!

So delicious. Great customer service today. They are always quick and attentive, making sure everything is just right. PLUS, the guacamole is free!

It was a very uncomfortable experience. There was a man there to clean the soda machine and he was getting mad at the employees saying that they need to take care of and clean the machine. All the tables were dirty The food wasn't worth what i paid for either. The meat was super cold, The avocado tasted old . I took a few bites of my burrito and that was it.
