My husband and I have been eating at the Lakeland Grillsmith since it opened years ago. It is normally good and we like the menu. But, the meal we had last night was perhaps the best one in all that time. The mussels were superb - plumb and perfectly cooked in a delicious creamy lemony garlicy herbaceous sauce. So good! We both had steaks (ribeye and fillet) which were perfectly rare. Yes actually cooked to the temp requested not overdone. The charred brussel sprouts were great. I think Julia was the chef who prepared our food - we asked because everything was so exceptional we wanted to make sure the cook got some appreciation. We also had a fantastic wine which our server, John, went the extra mile to get to our table. He climbed a ladder himself to pull it down from storage for us rather than wait for the backed up bar person to have time. Overall amazingly great meal!
Celebrated b-day dinner with my girls and i love the chimchurri steak every time there and my kids enjoyed their steak and Thai chicken flatbread. And at the end you get a smores dessert that is free on grill Smith. Good food and our waiter did an excellent job too!
Our favorite place to eat in Lakeland. We LOVE the shrimp � and � crab cakes. The salads are amazing!!! The southwest cilantro lime salad with grilled shrimp-hands down best salad I have ever eaten. � And tonight I had the Napa valley salad with grilled chicken. It’s part of their gluten free choices. Omg sooooo good. Service there is always amazing. We love the atmosphere. Tonight we sat outside next to an amazing heater to keep us warm. Thanks again Grillsmith
Absolutely delicious! I had the chicken Milanese and my husband had the salmon and shrimp. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were out of this world! We shared the bananas foster and the flavor was spot on! Thank you so much! I will most definitely be back when I come back to town.
We go to Grillsmith in Lakeland for Easter brunch every year. This year I had the salmon with quacamole and was fabulous. Highly recommend. Their blueberry spritz was very good also.
Our waiter (sorry I forget his name but he had very curly dark hair) was amazing! The food was perfect. We will definitely return.

Great Barbeque, great choices on their menu. Cozy dinning room that is spacious and clean. Their menu offers choices of seafood and barbeque, and sides. A nice bonus with your meal, free ice cream after you have finished your meal.
Devon was phenomenal!! He is top of his class and should teach the class on serving tables. Food was on point. Temp was a little cooler than we liked inside but coffee warmed us up. Looking forward to coming back!
We were seated quickly, and Zachary’s service was good. I highly recommend the Voodoo Shrimp, it was extremely tasty. One thing which disappointed me was the fact they did not have Tabasco, only Cholula.
Took my wife out for a special evening and heard good things about Grillsmith and not disappointed. Food was prepared well with great presentation. The bar had some top shelf burbons reasonably price, something you don't often find today
We had the filet and gorgonzola cheese egg roll with shredded red cabbage appetizer, different combinations but surprisingly great! Our steaks were aged and cooked to perfection. The service was attentive and friendly! The atmosphere is upscale. I will be returning and would recommend.
The sirloin steak with blue cheese crumbles was awesome. The green beans had a balsamic marinade that tasted awesome. Ryan our server was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. I would definitely recommend this for a date or special occasions.
My husband and I are in town for two weeks. We went to Grillsmith for happy hour menu and drinks. Could not have been more delighted. We got every single appetizer except for one had great house, Chardonnay wine. And our server Joshua was fabulous. It’s awesome to go to a place when you’re new in town but you’re treated like a regular. Can’t wait to go back.
We tired the spicy Thai shrimp, crunchy ahi tuna, soup of the day followed by the blueberry smash refresher and it was astounding. Would highly recommend the carbonara since it is the best in town!
Went to Grillsmith for dinner and we liked it so much I went back a couple days later and back a couple times since then within a couple months. The food is always consistently delicious. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. And most importantly the food usually comes out hot.
We went last night for dinner and my husband ordered his salmon lightly blackened but it came out heavily blackened. He did not want to waste it by sending it back so he ate it but did not enjoy it like he should have. He said, I just take a bite and wash it down with my lemonade. I tasted it and wanted to spit it out due to being so salty. An FYI if you ask for lightly you may want to reiterate that.
Pumpkin bisque soup - Delicious
Flatbread pizza - Pretty good for what it is.
Burger- Great
Chicken Marsala - Delicious, lots of flavor
Salmon - Probably delicious if grilled.
Sangria- very good
Raspberry lemonade- very good but pricey at $4.50
We will definitely go back.
This experience was lovely all around. At first you feel like you are at an average restaurant but once our server approached the table we knew we were in for a great time. He was extremely knowledgeable about the food and even had certain recommendations for each of us. Everything was cooked to perfection and the entire staff was polite and friendly.
The pumpkin crab soup was super flavorful and lick the bowl good. The swordfish with the Caribbean topping was amazing and The Salmon dinner was delicious.
