My review is based primarily on recent trips to the bar area. I have not eaten in the dining room in a while. I previously had hit-or-miss experiences there, but the bar experience is always excellent. The bartenders are kind, friendly, helpful and will know your name after only a few visits. The drinks are well-made and strong, and they have an excellent happy hour from 4-7 Monday -Friday. After a number of changes, they have finally brought back a bar bites menu, only available in the bar area. Lots of creative dishes on there, many of which are good for sharing with a small group. The herbed French fries are always a hit, and the radish plate was also good when some friends ordered it. On my last visit I tried the burger, and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked with a great flavor from the meat and the toppings. I will definitely get that again. It comes with a side of fries as well. Overall, a great place to meet up with friends for happy hour. Great atmosphere and service.
Hubby and I finally went for our Anniversary Dinner after a few years of “we gotta try that place”. The food was exceptional! We loved our meals and the flavor combinations, it was perfect - 5 stars! I was however very disappointed in the staff, kinda shocked really - to have that level of food but such a disappointing experience in staff. I’ll hope it was an off night and will definitely try going again.
Absolutely fantastic happy hour!! Love the steak tartare, tuna tartare, and heirloom tomato salad - best in FL! Chris at the bar and Tyler in the kitchen are amazing!!
My experience here was absolutely amazing. I had an anniversary dinner reserved here and the atmosphere was amazing. Billy was our server and he was absolutely incredible! He answered my questions about the menu items (poor guy explained the chicken but my eyes were set on the ribeye). The crab cake was delicious! Our two entrees were the sword fish and I had the ribeye and let me tell you absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! We then had dessert which was the Crème brûlée and I just couldn’t believe how DELICIOUS is was!!! Overall 10 stars!!! We’ll certainly be back.
Bartenders Chris and Luke make fabulous cocktails and are friendly and accommodating. The new menu items I have eaten are delicious. Beautiful location. I will be back many times.

The sandwiches were perfectly sized; not too big, not too small, just right.
The desserts were very well executed and with the perfect sweet balance.

Beautiful restaurant in Lakeland with wonderful food and drinks. The beet salad and pasta with clams were especially delicious. The waitress was very attentive and we were served quickly. There is valet parking at the rear of the hotel so you don’t have to worry about finding a spot in downtown Lakeland.
Our first time at The Terrace Hotel so we decided to have dinner in the Grille. The service was very good. The food was excellent. I had the Hen and my husband had the Spicy Rigatoni. I also ordered an Old Fashioned and it was spot on. Would definitely recommend.
Absolutely fantastic night out with the wife for a belated anniversary dinner. We were seated early for our reservation. Wait staff was attentive without being overly present. Food was absolutely fantastic. Wife had the Veal with green peppercorn sauce and I had the swordfish with ancho chili sauce. Both were very good and definitely worth the price. However the crown jewel of the evening was the Apple Tarte Tartan. Definitely look forward to going back and trying other items.
First time having brunch here. Decor, ambience and service was superb. Abilene, our server, was outstanding. Loved the bottomless mimosas with three different flavors to choose; orange 🍊, peach 🍑 and pineapple 🍍. Will definitely come back again! ♥️
Great restaurant located inside the terrace hotel. we stayed in the hotel, and we decided to give this restaurant a try, and it was worth it. food was food, and the service was great. The atmosphere was awesome, and the great vibe was good crowed, and the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated.
Great atmosphere and decor. Brunch breakfast items were really good. Deserts looked beautiful but were dry with little flavor. It was as if they had been sitting exposed in the refrigerator with no cover. We took a couple bites and then quitting eating them as they were so bad. We did mention this to the waitstaff and they could see that we barely touched them. They did apologize but this really should have been subtracted from our bill. I might go back for the brunch, just minus the deserts. Oh we also had cocktails that were ok.
Terrace Grill you’ve got a great crew, From the great service Chris provides at the bar to both sous chefs Corey & Andrew cooking a perfect Tomahawk steak. Terrace Grill you’ve out done yourself. Chef you should be proud of your sous chef’s and the menu you’ve made. 10/10 will recommend it to anyone.
We absolutely loved the intimate atmosphere. The food was superb and so was the service.
We had a party of 6 on Sunday September 24th at 12 noon. Sidney was our server, she was wonderful. Very pleasant knowledgeable and got all of our orders correctly. She frequently came to the table and was very attentive , asking if we needed anything and offered “too go” drinks as well. The Brunch was amazing, everyone enjoyed the time spent in this classy hotel.
