We found Fancy Q on Yelp and decided to eat here after reading all of the positive reviews. Did not disappoint, the food was delicious and service was on point!
Excellent food, large portions at a good price, great ambience. Very unassuming place until you enter. Very clean, prompt service. Overall a great find. Would recommend to anyone.

This place is amazing! The hibachi steak lunch is so good and so affordable. No headache from msg like other places, either! The staff is so friendly and personable.

The staff is very attentive and fun. The crab appetizer was delicious. My son and I both got the < L6 combination > and now my leftovers made a 2nd meal for my daughter. Thank you for a very sweet afternoon lunch.

Finally!! Lakeland has a real sushi bar! Excellent presentation, very complete menu....including Uni!!!!!!! Wait staff could be more attentive, but overall a winner! Highly recommended.

We were greeted as we entered and waited briefly to be seated. Menus were waiting for us at our table. Our waiter arrived shortly after we were seated and took our drink orders. He returned with not only our drinks but complimentary soup and an amazing tempura appetizer. I ordered the chicken pad Thai. My wife ordered sushi and hibachi chicken. The sushi and pad Thai came out quickly, but the hibachi order was delayed due to a miscommunication. The pad Thai arrived flaming,spicy hot,just as I ordered and plated beautifully.The portion size was incredible! Very flavorful,hit all the right notes. The sushi was fresh and flavorful,with a wonderfully hot Wasabi. The hibachi chicken arrived hot off the grill with a very unique tasting fried rice. Again,the portion was very generous. Our intention was to stop at another restaurant. Our curiosity paid off well! We will definitely return.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! Stopped in today with my wife and were immediately greeted and sat down. And instantly served a complimentary appetizer which was amazing. The hibachi was good. The sushi was divine. And to top it off, their red bean fried ice cream was out of this world! This is by far the best place I have been to. The service was so amazing and the food was even better
Watched a fat, white couple berate a young waitress because they didn't have limes. Two 50-something year olds acting like toddlers. The waitress and the management handled it perfectly. Happy to see waitresses understand that they're humans too. We love this place!

My wife and I were in town visiting family and we had a craving for sushi. We googled best sushi in Lakeland and this place was top rated--and let me tell you, google was not wrong.
This place was small but the food was bomb. We sit down and they bring a complimentary appetizer and oh-my-goodness, I was hooked. We ended up ordering 3 appetizers, 3 rolls and a hibachi meal.
When I say all the food was phenomenal, I am not exaggerating. I'm not saying my palate is the best but I've eaten food from 5 different continents so I know good food...and this place has good food!
Oh and to top it off, the price was very affordable. Whenever in Lakeland, it's a guarantee I'll be visiting again.
Has to be the best Japanese I had in a while for one, and secondly the waiter provided the fastest and best service I’ve ever had at any restaurant by far! Highly recommend this place for the locals looking for a good Japanese
I can't say enough about how good this place is. The Sushi is some of the best I've had. My table had tempura shrimp and vegetables and I had the red shrimp curry. Wow. Great portions and the flavors were awesome. I will definitely be going back. The service was super too. Our guy made the experience enjoyable. All around great.

This place might not be an extremely fancy place but the atmosphere is comfortable, the food is fresh and super delicious and the service is very good and fast. I am very satisfied with the experience in whole and definitely recommend this place to Anyone looking to eat fresh and tasty sushi. Even my 8 year old enjoyed his meal all around it was 5 star service.
This was my very first time here, and I decided to come alone to enjoy. (Fiance's not much for seafood)
Norman was my server. He was incredible, the food was incredible, you get a very generous portion for the price you pay and everything felt fresh. All of the food pictures below was totalled at less than $30. When you're seated you are given complimentary dishes for the table, including a clear broth soup with mushroom and green onions for each guest. Attached are some pictures (didn't get to taking a picture of the soup until it was almost gone! LOL). These pics show decor and menu items. Everything was clean and fairly open, I had easy access to my server at all times. I said it once but I'll say it again: Norman was great. Eager to please and quick to accommodate requests. He really made this an awesome first visit!
I HIGHLY recommend this place, and I'm considering making this a weekly treat for myself!
My first sushi experience and it was super good. I didnt realize how much food you really get so I ended up taking a lot home. I cant wait to come back
I did love the food. However after eating there I took my food home and noticed that in the noodles I did not eat there there was a hard shard peice if plastic in the noodles. I still ate the food but they seriously need to watch how they cook stuff!
This was an amazing experience. We went there a week or so ago and was impressed with the service and quality. I got a dinner bento box with a Tokyo roll and a TNT roll and a Californian roll. My wife got the Fancy Q roll and the Alaska roll. Everything was very tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. A strong recommend.

Enjoyed a very nice Pad Thai! The service was good and food with the appetizers if the lobster roll, soup and then a salad before the meal. A generous portion that will give another meal tomorrow!

Waited all summer for this to open, and am not disappointed. The north side was in dire need of Sushi and Thai. Now We have both. We were actually the very first customers on opening day. We ordered the lunch specials, myself the sushi/sashimi combo, and my girlfroend got a chicken hibachi. Bother were amazing. Portions were large. The sushi/sashimi was great, and was glad to see it was all fish and no egg sponge or thin cooked shrimp in the combo.
We were suprised by a complimentary "Eddie special" and it was very good. It's was krab and cream cheese, wrapped in krab and deep fried. Was tasty and unique. Also included was a miso, or clear soup on both my visits
I went back again and ordered the Tuna Tataki, Crab Rangoon, and a Fancy Q roll. All of them were delicious.
The Tataki came out thinly sliced and seared, atop of a bed of crushed ice, with a small light underneath causing the Tuna to glow. The tuna was very good and the ice was a great touch to keep it very chilled. Looked great too.
The Crab Rangoons are definitely the best in town, and I've tried them all. Good flavor, flakey, crispy, soft and just overall good.
The Fancy Q roll was also very good. I don't usually order rolls, but this sounded good and was not disappointed. They have lots of specialty rolls to choose from as well.
I was also given a complimentary Eddie Special on my second visit, as well as a single piece of some special looking thing from the sushi chef, containing spicy tuna wrapped in white tuna.
This place has a very modern interior with oriental themed music playing. Very comfortable with good service unlike some of the other sushi places. I will be back to this place regularly and can't wait to try the Thai Food. Will update the review when I do.
My only complaint is that there is no Tom Kah soup on the menu, which was the first thing I looked for. 6 stars if it were, but maybe Eddie will read this and add it for me.
I went to Fancy Q Sushi & Thai, because Scream'n Tuna was closed 'taking a break' between 2p & 430p on a Saturday and I'm SO GLAD I went to Fancy Q Sushi & Thai, they were open, super friendly, and my rolls were awesome and came out super fast !
As far as Scream'n Tuna, yeah...I will NEVER, EVER, return to Scream'n Tuna. They wasted my time, and don't have their website updated, and if they can't be trusted to maintain their website, welp then I can't trust them with serving me raw seafood....attention to detail matters, and Fancy Q Sushi & Thai showed me they care, and it came through in the service and the rolls I got.
