Review Sage Cafe - Lakeside

The only reason this was not a 1 star was because the service was on point. I had a grilled chicken salad and she had fried chicken. First the salad, the romaine was fresh and the dressing came on the side, which was fine, but the chicken was disgustingly cold and dry af. Its as if it was cooked days in advance, sat in a plastic tub in the fridge, until it was ordered and thrown in top of fresh romaine. Also the chicken pieces was so small, it barely passed as a portion. The fried chicken was worse. I grew up with my fam buying Banquet frozen chicken that came in a box. This chicken was worse, barely warm as if microwaved after it was deep fried ages ago and then recooked. Mushy, no crunch, and greasier than any fast food fried chicken I've ever eaten, including KFC, Churches, Popeyes, Bonchon, Wingstop, and Buffalo Wild Wings. It's really too bad. The buffet has been closed since the start of covid so you're left with this restaurant as an option, unless you consider going to the food court. Service was excellent from the server. Wish I caught her name. Dined 1/2/22 approx 4pm

Good refreshes on the food menus and resturaunt looks, by far the best casino at a mew welcome home look everytime, Thanks for being here for the community and making every guest feel welcome. I know why people prefer your Casino over others.

A delicious prime rib birthday dinner. Quite a meal for only $14.99. One of my favorite restaurants by far. Pretty much everything on the menu is tasty and reasonably priced. My wife had the tuna melt (pictured) and enjoyed it.... Delicious !!! Still one of my favorite places although the menu choices have decreased quite a lot.

Usually I do not write reviews but I felt this place really needed one. The service was absolutely horrible and the food was extremely mediocre. My family and I came here for a nice birthday lunch and we soon became very disappointed with how we were treated. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for a place to eat.

The food was delicious and the staff spectacular, will definitely return.

Ashley our waitress at the sage was perfect in everyway. Ashley took care of all our needs without being a bug. She served us with a pleasant attitude and curtious manner, not forgetting a single detail. I would recommend the sage for having such a fine employee.

02/03/2022 - Apparently Barona has changed their rules on the age limit of guests. For the past 10 years we have been visiting Barona periodically with our children and eating at Sage Cafe. Our kids have always loved going there and it was my son's 17th birthday and that was the restaurant he requested to eat at for his birthday dinner. Our group of six arrived at 6:45 p.m. We put our group on the list and were told it would be a 45 minute wait due to them only having a couple tables that seat six. This was expected and that was not a problem for us. Our group sat in the Sage waiting area for 45 minutes and were text that our table was ready right on time! When we approached the hostess to be seated at our table she asked if everyone in our group was 18. I stated that everybody was except our youngest son who's 17th birthday it was. She said she was sorry, but we couldn't enter and eat there...........what? What do you mean we cannot eat here. We've been eating here with these kids for the past 10 years. We apparently their rules changed after covid and instead of asking us when we first arrived, they decided to allow us to sit there in front of them for 45 minutes and THEN ask us before we were to be seated. At this point it was almost 8 p.m. and my sons 17th birthday dinner turned into Cane's because most restaurants are either closing at 8:00 p.m. for not seating after 8:00 p.m. Much appreciated Barona for being inattentive to your guests. Had they asked me this question upon checking in then we would have had plenty of time to go elsewhere and save the evening. You have now lost an entire family that used to support and suggest this restaurant to others. Will never visit Barona again and will not suggest it to anyone. There are way too many other options. Visiting Vegas this weekend. I'm certain our family is not going to be turned away from ANY restaurant in town.

Have More clear signs OTHER THAN ON THE FLOOR that say you need to be diamond to eat here!!Stood in a long line just to be turned away cause I’m not a “Diamond Member” even though there’s tons of tables open. Nice!

I love eating here when I want a good burger. Only problem is the service. Most waiters take forever to get you drinks, orders taken and your food. If you're patient then you'll be fine.

Sage Cafe Rib Eye. OMG! The rib eye I had on Sunday evening (4-30-2011) was the BEST I've ever had. Cooked perfect to my specs and the carmalized onions and mushrooms were the perfect addition. My compliments to the chef. :)

Sage cafe. Food great service depends on who serves you, some servers are great polite and others not so much. hostess on day are sweet not so much for the late after noon once i have walked in on them fighting and agreeing . one even rolled her eyes and tole me to go some were else! besides the service food is awesome
