Review Lakeside Cafe - Lakeside

Lakeside Cafe is located on Woodside Ave, in Lakeside. We visited them for lunch on this day and they have all booth seating which is nice. The atmosphere was light and cheerful. We were greeted by the hostess and immediately seated. The booths are large and can accommodate a family of 4 - 8 easily. Samantha our waitress was WONDERFUL! She was cheerful, and wore a smile the entire time. She was knowledgeable about the menu and it's contents. It was obvious she knew what she was talking about, I ordered the turkey, lettuce, bacon wrapped with avocado. Omg, it was delicious. My friend ordered the French dip. Wow, it was huge. Our food was warm, taste fresh, and there was enough to save for at least 2 more days. I can't say enough good things about Samantha. She definitely likes what she does and it reflects in her friendly, attentive attitude. Comfort Food at its best.

Omg! This pie was terrible!!!! I ordered a few days ahead. This pie had a sour taste... I feel that they forgot to put it in the refrigerator!!! The whip cream was totally melted and the bannana chips all sunk to the bottom. I know it was left out and not refrigerated prior to me picking it up. So disappointed for Mothers Day 🥺

Their Home fries come with just potatoes, with the option to get grilled onions and peppers for $0.75 more 😳 I choose that, and got either burnt onions or barely grilled onions, and about 5 small pieces of bell peppers... The Omelette (Melting Pot) was on the menu as a four egg omelette, but I've had 3 egg omelettes that are bigger. I always ask for a to-go box before I even get my meal. I could have finished what I got, but I still took half, home. My husband had their Belgian waffle combo. It was a typical Belgian waffle combo. Food was good, but, I've got at least three other restaurants that I would go to before going back to this one for breakfast.

quaint bfast place biscuits & gravy r good! chorizo and eggs w toast is phenom! beef patty & two eggs (sunny-side up) r delish! practice social distance all servers r sweet, soft-spoken, and equally friendly. 👍🏼 👍🏼

The Lakeside Cafe is everything a locally-run, community-centered restaurant should be. Service is prompt and friendly, prices are fair, food portions are heaping, and food is good quality and not pretentious. I like sitting on their patio in the sun. For being by the busy Woodside Ave, it somehow stays fairly quiet out there. Go out and support your local eateries! They are fully open for business as of this writing! And while you're there, sign the recall petition.

Veggie salad with honey 🍯 mustard dressing yummy. Large bowl of greens tomato, egg, chopped olive and red onion.

Good people, but not really good options if you're vegan or vegetarian. I ordered the veggie salad ( the description on the menu did not list or mention cheese). I also ordered extra avocado to go on my salad. When the salad arrived it had cheese on it but no avocado. I told the waitress that I don't want cheese and I ordered avocado. She took the salad back to the kitchen. Then she came back about 15 minutes later and brought me another salad but this time it had chunks of ham on it. I just told her that I didn't want to eat the salad at all. I just had a bowl of potatoes because there's not many other vegan options on the menu. The waitresses seemed pretty friendly. Lots of parking. But hopefully they will add a few vegan options onto the menu🙏I would give them another chance if they did

I give this 5 stars because it's the best food place I have ever been to the food's amazing everyone there is nice and they really make me feel special I recommend this to anyone who wants to have a good breakfast or lunch I haven't tried the dinner but I bet it's all so amazing
