This is a very small casino but it does have a restaurant and bar. Although we didnt eat there this time the food has always been delicious. This stop was a quick one to show the casino to friends. We stayed long enough for a beer and some spins on the slots. We stop everytime we go to Lakeside Montana.

Great fried chicken and fried pickles. Staff were friendly and the drinks were cold. We were eating as a family, and a local was starting to use strong language around my kids. They told him to cool it, or he's out. I appreciate the respect they had for the kids in earshot.

The best elk burgers in Lakeside Montana. The beers were very cold. We had no waiting time for a dinner table. While are food was being cooked, we took back some money from the casino. That paid for our bar tab.

Not a good place to go in the evening. The bartender didn't let us go in at 9:30PM even though they close at 10PM. They had several people inside but didn't let us go in for some reason. Go elsewhere because they are not welcoming at all.

The Short Branch is an iconic local establishment. Steak Night on Thursdays is a must. When I am in town on Thursday's that's where you will find me 100% of the time. Miss Tammy and her hard working and friendly crew will welcome you any night of the week.

Absolutely the WORST customer service experience I've ever had at a bar. Bartender(s) were drunk when we showed up, drank the whole time we were there, turned up the music so loudly we couldn't visit, laughed at us when we asked them to turn it down, and when they turned off the lights in the middle of our second round (instead of telling us they were closing or asking for "last round",) we got up to leave--their snide farewell to us: "Thanks for Leaving!" Pitiful! They have no business being in business! Oh, and the place was filthy! Will NEVER go back and will be sure to warn anyone and everyone I know!
