Review Big Fork Restaurant - Lakeside

Glad I stopped in after work. Figured I'd need a big breakfast for yet more work and a long drive ahead of me; their Country Benedict with Spicy Sausage was delicious and very filling. The staff were attentive and quick with coffee, water, and chow. Certainly recommended for breakfast and I hope to grab a burger one day in the future.

Great quality food, friendly staff, good prices, and big portions! It's too bad I waited so long to try the Homestead despite living in the valley most of my life. Both my wife and I very much enjoyed our dishes and we will definitely be back!

The French Toast is amazing and the bacon was perfect. The service was friendly but, different from what I'm accustomed to. Still a great place to get breakfast or brunch. I haven't tried the dinners there, yet. Though, I'm sure they're as good as the other meals they serve.

Great comfort food in a comfortable place. If you're passing by Flathead Lake be sure and stop in.

I walked into this restaurant with a friend, only to be greeted by someone who was confused as to why I was there. When I told him I wanted a table, he said there’s lots of tables, then walked away. 17 minutes later, after making eye contact several times with a waitress, we were offered a menu. 10 minutes after that our order was taken. In the entire time we were not served anything to drink. 7-8 minutes after placing the order, we were informed that one of our choices was unavailable. At this point we decided to walk out. I’m not trying to be mean, just offer some constructive criticism. I was hungry and I’m a big tipper, but this was the worst restaurant experience I can remember having all over the world in the last 10 years.

We walked in expecting to eat American fare. To our surprise it was an Italian restaurant. Marcellis the waitress called it. In the evenings it switches over to Italian. Absolutely loved the dishes. We had clams as a starter. And four dinner dishes. Chicken florentine was my favorite.

My experience was incredible. The service was fast and friendly, the place was clean and organized. And the food was delicious. I felt it was priced fairly and the portions were more than adequate. I couldn't eat it all, took half back home with me. It was called the Haystack

Horrible service. So Rick is a emotional guy was extremely rude and unhelpful. Said " what do you want" after I was giving him the order like who are you what do you want. Got upset that I wasn't a local and never explained what comes with the order. 2stars because the food was delicious.

Yum! Rancher burger. Homestead burger. Reuben. Chicken fried steak. All were very good. Onion rings were delicious and all servings were a really good size! This will be one of our regular stops in treks around the lake. (Coffee was good, but would have been nice to come around for a second cup. Maybe next time!)

It was the best breakfast....very friendly service and just a great time...recommend it to everyone ....

Found this place passing through, a great place to stop for a bite to eat with a welcoming atmosphere.

Food was great, and server Rick was awesome. Exactly what I needed in the morning. Highly recommend (try the biscuits and gravy!)

Disappointed AGAIN on Saturday...we used to plan our trips North for delicious lunch at the Homestead and this is the second time the service and the food have been horrible. Sat in the casino with no service and finally had to go ask someone for a menu and for something to drink. The employees were standing around the restaurant talking. Had to ask someone to take our order. The French dips we ordered with grilled mushrooms and onions and "piled high with roast beef" (per the menu) had two thin and cooked to crisp pieces of meat. One half of mine had no mushrooms at all. Nobody ever came to check and see if everything was ok. Had to go find and ask someone for our bill. On a plus side, the tater tots and fries we had were good, and the ranch was tasty. And the dogs liked the leftover sandwiches we took home. So disappointing as this has been one of our favorite stops for years and we'll be planning our stops somewhere else on our way to Kalispell I'm afraid.

One of our favorite places....any omelet with hollandaise is a perfect meal! Always great service and food.

Great food in generous portions. Our server was very nice and patient with our group of eleven. Very comfortable. Like eating at home - except food was better!
