The legendary Southern Tier! We made the pilgrimage from NH for a Niagara Falls weekend, and made the extra drive to Lakewood for a night. Loved the atmosphere of both the brewery and distillery, and of course the beer is as good as it's ever been. Great outdoor vibe with live music and really good food as well.
Impressive building, and the outside entertainment obviously looks to be a blast. But on a cold and rainy late October evening, we just did some tastings. Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff and clean restrooms. Food was average brewery fare, with a heavy hand of mustard sauce on the smashburger. Still tasty enough grub.

Cold Brew Coffee Pumking Nitro: This is one of the most unique pumpkin beers I've stumbled across. Southern Tier takes an imperial pumpkin ale and blends it nicely with natural coffee flavors. There's a welcoming amount of sweetness to it and detectable flavors are spice, vanilla, pecans/nuts, and of course pumpkin & coffee (both of which play a role in the fermentation process). The beer has a copper color and hazy appearance. It's ABV is a heavy 8.6% and it has an IBU of 30. Along with the flavor I was also a fan of the creamy feel it had on the palate. Unless you have an aversion to pumpkin or coffee then I highly recommend giving this ale a try. It's one of the best in my book and is Doughboy approved

Great dog friendly brewery with lots of options including specialty cocktails in cans. My favorite is the vodka madras. The wings are very good. Outside seating and live music. Fun!
Great indoor and outdoor venue with, in addition to outstanding beverages, really nice selection of food which did not disappoint. I highly recommend the pretzels. The hot chocolate stout was on nitro draught and while it was Memorial Day weekend and nearly summer, it was delicious and a good choice. Their cocktails in a can are a must try as well. Pick up a pint glass for $5 while you’re there. The rock garden in the back behind the music venue is a beautiful little walk about.
Nice outdoor patio area with live music and Southern Tier beer what more could you want. Southern Tier is one of my favorite beers.

Lovely brewery, it was very crowded with few seats available. Had to wait a bit before a table opened up but it didn't take too long. We were disappointed that they didn't have the cinnamon sugar rim available for their Pumpking beer, that I LOVE. The bartender was kind of condescending when we asked for it. Acted like we were disgracing their beer by wanting it. I get it...but if that's what we like, then that's what we like. We ordered burgers and they were delicious 👍 friends got nachos, also very good but the ratio of chips to toppings was off. Huge pile of chips that were naked by the time you get 1/2 way thru. Overall a great place to visit and these discrepancies aren't a "make or break" deal. Go check them out!
Christine does a wonderful job highlighting the company itself and the various steps in brewing. The commentary of her tour offered a the right balance of humor and detailed for causal beer drinkers and connoisseurs alike. Highly recommend. They offer tours presently only on Saturday at 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30. I drove five hours for it and would drive another five if needed.

A NEED TO visit brewery, conveniently located in Lakewood NY! I highly recommend going early and signing up for a tour to get the full Southern Tier experience.
We went on the tour and our guide was great. She was knowledgeably, friendly and energetic! A great 30-minute walking tour of the facility and history. The building is deceivingly large, multiple times during the tour we thought we had seen the whole facility to then again be surprised with another large room.
With our pre-tour and post-tour samples (which are included in the tour ticket cost) we got a chance to experience both tasting rooms. While slightly different in style and layout they are thematically the similar. Both are cozy without being overcrowded. The downstairs tasting room features impressive timber framing while the upstairs tasting room was slightly more modern, matching the brewing equipment it views. If that’s not enough room for you, they do have a large outdoor space to take advantage of the nice summer weather.
The staff was very friendly, approachable and helpful. If you suffer from indecision at the bar, they will help you find the right next beer to sample. Come with an appetite because the food is great! We had the nachos and soft pretzels.
Finally, when its time to leave, you can get a 4 pack or growler to-go too hold you over until your next visit. I will be back again.
Had a beautiful mess, up I'm the tasting room. An old man winter for me, and a chardonnay for my bride. Always a good time. Try the beautiful mess next time you're in. Goes good with a brew.
Love what they’ve done! It’s beautiful! We were greeted by a friendly staff and sat at the bar for lunch. Monica was seriously delightful!!! She was not only helpful to us with the beers and menu but to the people next to us who just HAD to take a picture with her to complete the experience! Can’t wait to come back and witness a just as friendly staff or maybe we will stick with our favorite bartender Monica!

This place is great! Very friendly staff. Absolutely great atmosphere. And a beautiful rustic place! I would highly recommend stopping by when you are nearby. We drove 1 and 1/2 hrs and definitely worth the drive!
What a place! Great food, great service and just awesome beer. The flights are large, the beer variety is really special and the atmosphere is so laid back.
Live music, good bar food, and great beer/mix cocktails. The building and stage fit right in with the atmosphere, definitely stop by in the summer for a fun time.
