Somehow these are best donuts I have ever had anywhere. I think it is something to do with the water in the dough and the dry air in Lamar. It makes the donut the perfect fluffy and the frosting the perfect crispness.
Not as good as I remember, but I also haven't had it for almost 20 years... So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. It WAS really nice to grab donuts in a place without a million Texans...

Stopped in for a couple of long johns yesterday before heading back to Georgia. My daughter was super impressed and I was not disappointed either. Service was great and long johns were fresh.
The best donut place in town! The donuts a fresh and soft and their sausage rolls are to die for! Not to mention the customer is exponential and the atmosphere makes you feel at home due to it being family owned. Thank you sheryl!- zachary deason

Quaint, welcoming little donut shop nestled away downtown. Loved the option for biscuits and gravy, as I'm not too big on sweets (but hubby is). Would definitely stop by again if we're in the area!
I'm a trucker and the owner was super delighted I had parked out front along the curb and came in to grab some donuts and coffee, which were excellent! I also tried the sausage links breakfast roll which had cheese in it and was deep fried. Delicious!
I'll definitely be back!
