I’m Italian and Swedish, but I swear there has to be some Mexican in there because I LOVE Mexican food and drinks and culture! I’m so so excited that we were recommended this local gem. And I’m so glad you’re reading this because you NEED to go. Like get in your car, or hop on your bike, or take a plane instead of going to Mexico because this place is AH-MAZING (although the Delaware is very underwhelming compared to Mexican beaches). This place is authentic from the chef to the owner to the decor. I loved the secret entrance down an alleyway and the music playing while we ate. There’s so much to choose from on the menu, we’ll be back to try more. Our server was very kind and catered to our picky kid eaters. I had a delicious margarita and this mound of love the burrito sabanero ♥️ I’m eating my left overs for breakfast tomorrow because I can’t wait til lunch. Also the guacamole was so creamy and the salsa was super fresh. This was genuinely the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is probably the best, most authentic Mexican food I have ever eaten (and I just vacationed in Arizona).
Bonus points to Aztlan for being so vegan friendly.

Lots of Vegetarian options and great ambiance. I will say - the vegan-chorizo tacos are a bit dry (could use a Chipotle-mayo type of sauce) and the red sauce could use more enchilada seasoning but otherwise a great place. Portions were huge and the chips and salsa were spot on. Just remember to bring cash as it's cash only but there is an AtM in the restaurant.

First time and definitely not the last time. Owner and head chef takes pride with his restaurant business and shows with the quantity and quality of food. Best Mexican food I have had in a long, long time. My take out included a chicken burrito, chicken chimichanga and 2 tacos with rice and beans, fresh chips and plenty of homemade salsa. Food was very nicely packaged and the food was incredibly delicious. The total bill was $23 and just a great deal. I can't wait to go back. Food was authentic and great quality. The dining area is very quaint and just a great place to have dinner and relax.

Aztlan is one of Lambertville’s best kept secrets. It’s slightly off the beaten path which makes it that much better. The portions are generous and reflect the higher than usual prices; don’t be thrown, it’s absolutely not a rip off. They have a vegan menu if you’re into that and if you’ve got no dietary restrictions you can go all out with the traditional Mexican and Mexican-American fare they do so well. It’s cash only but there is an ATM on-site that can be used for a small fee. It’s attached to Mitchell’s cafe which has a bar so it is not BYOB. The outdoor patio is great to sit at spring through fall.

My wife and I have been coming here for years, as it's one of our favorites. However, on this visit, the food took forever (normal), but was ice cold (not normal). There was one other table occupied at 5:15 in the afternoon.The waitress then disappeared, never to be seen again. After finishing my Tijuana tacos, which typically I love, but this time tasted like refried beans, we waited for the check...and waited...and waited...and waited. Finally, after turning around in my seat for 10 minutes, the busgirl came over. We told her about the cold food, but she was powerless to help. After she got us a take home container, the waiting resumed. Though staring bullets at our waitress, she never came back. Finally, the busgirl returned with the check. We decided on a $2 tip and left. This has been our go-to place, so we'll give it another try. But I'm not hopeful.
