First time trying out Bells Tavern and my guests and I were very pleased! Staff were quick, attentive and polite and most importantly, the food was delicious! 2 meals were off the menu and 2 were off the specials. Everyone was happy with their selections. Soup, appetizers and salads were also well received. I highly recommend giving Bells Tavern a visit.

We have been there twice and on the two busiest nights of the year; Halloween and a retirement party for 44 year veteran Carol. The food, drinks and service was worth the wait. Plus we bumped into a long time friend in the neighborhood on the way out!

The bruschetta was delicious. The bolognese was good but not great. It was a little watery. The atmosphere and staff are wonderful.

Nothing special. Expensive. They charge you for the ice if you plan on having a drink. Ridiculous. I dont even like ice to begin with. Anyway maybe ill give u another try and try pasta.

Like crab cakes? Bells tavern has them on special this week, and they are fabulous..I hesitated because crab cakes are mostly bread and fillers when you order them at restaurants..but, I decided to try them when someone near me got them and I saw them as the server walked by..I think they were the best I have ever had! The chunks of crab were really big, not flakes of crab, but big delicious lumps.. excellent! I think I’m going to get them again before they run out!

I am relatively new to the area and was in Lambertville walking around and asked a few locals where they liked to eat. I was directed to Bells and couldn't have been any more well advised.
It is a family affair and that's the way you are treated!
I have been 3 times and have met nice people and eaten good food each time.

Great atmosphere! Super busy on Tuesday night, which is great to see. Definitely need to make reservations. Drinks were great, food was great, and get the Tiramisu..... you won't be disappointed.

This is my favorite place! The weekend specials are always amazing. I dine at many places but none have the special atmosphere that is Bell's Tavern. It's got a neighborhood feel to it and the staff makes sure that you feel like you fit right in. I prefer dining at the bar but I've eaten in the quaint dining area and also on the unique outdoor area set up on the sidewalk. It give you a great feel of the "off the beaten path" section of Lambertville as neighbors stroll through the middle of the dining area. Afterwards I always enjoy a stroll along the canal path located a block away. This place is a true gem.

Firstly, entrees are 30 to 40 dollars. Food is average at best; used to be better. Owner cited by NJ for selling counterfeit and fake booze and pleading no contest to the charges as reported in Hunterdon NJ online. <br/><br/>My advice is to walk on by.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. This used to be my favorite place to go, but I gradually eased up when I noticed the food was not as good and the quality suffering. Now, I hear Bell's has been accused by the state of NJ for substituting cheap booze in their premium bottles. <br/><br/>Well, I feel vindicated in my observation. When you squeeze a nickel at the bar by allegedly refilling bottles of premium liquor with cheaper products and charging customers the top-shelf prices, you can imagine what is happening in the kitchen behind closed doors. <br/><br/>Good bye, Bells.

Worst drinks. When I complained my Robroy was wrong,I was treated like I didn't now what I was talking about. So it's no surprise they were just cited for substituting cheap liquor for expensive call brands -- apparently even filling bottles with the fake stuff. Makes you wonder how they cut corners on food.

My favorite spot. Bell's is my favorite place to grab a beer and some dinner at an affordable price in Lambertville. The environment is great and I've yet to have a bad meal. I could go here for dinner with the parents or just to grab a bear. Either way it works.

My favorite. Bell's has been my main stay for about 8 years now. I have never had a bad meal there . It has got'ton to the point that I rarely venture any place else. The service is always personal and pleasant and the quality of food is outstanding. I usually order one of the great specials that always have a great explosion of taste and diversity. The regular menu is always a great back up which you can eat on the cheap. The portions on both menus are always substantially comforting . Don't forget to try the fried calamari it's the best around and made simple like it's supposed too be.<br/> An added bonus is it's a "locals" stop , "so what does that tell you".

I LOVE bells!! They have great pasta and the BEST garlic bread!! Its grilled and butteey w perfect amount of garlic!! I usually sprinkle it with the parmesan cheese!! I love their alfredo, chix parm, pesto! But my favorite is the most simple item....pasta marinara!! The sauce is perfect in my book! Just like my nana used to make!! And their calamari is really good and for me who normally hates calamari to say that it has to be good! I will actually not just try it but split the app w whomever im with! You will not be disappointed! The servers are always great and so is the bartender and the owner/chef is so nice anytime we see him!

Diner Beware. What used to be good value ordering from the regular menu has become an odyssey of despair. <br/><br/>The food quality and the preparation almost make it uneatable. I used to rely on the pasta dishes and the chicken parm as a substitute for cooking at home. But no more! <br/><br/>Also, the chef/part owner has gotten seriously outrageous with the pricing of the nightly specials ($25-$30 range) with no appetizer, salad or sides. <br/><br/>The locals nights at places like the Inn at Phillip's Mill are much better value with much higher quality food. It is a shame that nothing stays the same. <br/><br/>Bell's is on a downward trajectory!

Dinner at Bells tonight was off the charts...pasta with spring ramps was to die for!!! Hubby had the cuban pork chop which was also yummy. We love bells and try to come whenever we can get a sitter :-)

My "go to" place..... Bell's is my top spot for dinner in the Lambertville/New Hope dining scene. Great food (delish), vibe (casual, dressier, hip, cozy, - whatever you're feeling) and service (friendly) - consistently. The blackboard specials ( think homemade bolognese, dry-aged steaks, salmon, tuna tartare (or tuna "nachos") ) are ALWAYS tasty - and the regular menu (amatriciana, tortellin rosato, juicy burgers, citrus salad) has something for everyone ( the dessert menu won't disappoint either - bread pudding = heaven)! Also, loving the improvements made to to the interior & exterior (same place, just a little happier!). If you know I'm out to dinner - look for me at Bell's first!!

WHAT A GREAT SPOT !. I eat here more that i cook at home. If you like good food at a reasonable price and a relaxed vibe, then i'll see you there. The black board specials are always my first choice. Bells is where the locals eat.

Great bar, great food, great service.. I go to Bell's at least twice a month. They email the specials and when I see the braised short ribs or the giant meatball, I'm there. The bartenders concoct some fabulous martini's and they have some great choices of beer on tap.<br/>I would highly recommend Bell's to anyone.

Used to be a great place. The food is now.average.at best and overpriced. Decent beer wine selection, crowded bar, cash only. The only reason I go back is for the great service.
