I had a great night at Horse Inn with some friends over the weekend, we got seated very quickly even with no reservation and a wait. The service was great from both the waitress and the waiter/bartender. The food was great, the atmosphere was great and the drinks were good too. My friend and I enjoyed getting their "mystery beer" for $2 and seeing what we would get.

They know what they’re doing! This has been my boyfriend’s favorite restaurant for a long time and it was finally my turn to experience it! The atmosphere is incredible, you feel like you’re in a different time. The food and drinks are some of the best around Lancaster. My boyfriend got the signature tips and toast and I got the fettuccini! We also shared the burrata as an app and the bread was phenomenal! There was also live jazz music, which was the cherry on top. We’ll definitely be back.

The vibe, decor, people and food were a real treat! The wings were delicious, perfectly cooked a Lil crispy and the sauce was on point! I had the beef tips w mushroom in a brown demi glaze alongside some fire garlic mashed taters. It's the kind of joint when you walk in it just feels like a good time is about to happen. And the food was MUCH better than I would've imagined.

This old prohibition speakeasy is the coolest place in Lancaster! Combining history, vibes, live music and an amazing burger this is a must have experience!

Hidden gem tucked away in a residential area. Love that the atmosphere has echoes of the speakeasy it once operated as during Prohibition. Very innovative cocktail menu and the food never disappoints. Definitely get the burger if it's your first time - but be warned, no substitutions (nor are they needed). Always enjoy going on jazz nights as they bring local musicians in to play a variety of tunes.

The food was amazing. We got horse fries, which are loaded up and very good. Also got the horse inn burger and salad. Refreshing salad to balance a very good burger. Tastes like they make their own blend and it is high in fat. Nice toppings too. Fun atmosphere. For 3 people on Thursday night it took an hour to get our entrees, which is way too long.

Great atmosphere and trendy restaurant. Get the Tips N Toast. It was the perfect dish and the highlight of our visit to Lancaster.

Superb quality from beginning to end. The reputation of The Horse Inn lives up to every expectation. The opening cocktails at the bar were top notch, followed by excellently executed dinner entrees. The burger's reputation as the best in Lancaster County stands up as well. Tender and flavorful beef cooked to a perfect medium and crispy yet soft interior fries. My wife's crab roll was also very flavorful with hints of lemon and herbs perfectly balanced. My only regret is waiting so long to dine here. Highly recommended. Don't wait!

The place is hard to find if you don't know what you are looking for it is a old speakeasy so it is not super obvious. The menu is in a qr scanner but they also have chalk menus up on the walls. There was a person on the piano when I went there and it was quite enjoyable. The atmosphere is very interesting. The drinks are pretty good and they rotate them seasonally and each has its own flair to it. The food while good was not elevated high enough to justify the price tag really and they were kind of small portion wise. But if you are going to have drinks in a cool place I would say this is a great option that will keep people talking about it.

This is a really cool restaurant. I love the vibe and decor. Our server was very nice and the service overall was a little slow but not too bad. I had the burger which was slightly overcooked but still very good and the french fries were amazing. Super crispy and well seasoned as a good fry should be. I ordered a cocktail which was also good. I don't remember which one it was, something about a raisin? It was probably one of the most interesting things I've had to drink in a long time. Lots of different flavors that hit at different times.

Came for a date night. It’s a nice spot with a cool vibe. There was someone playing piano most of the night which was cool. Our waiter was so nice and bubbly and attentive! The drinks were good! The food was good as well! It did take a little long for us to receive our main course but we had drinks and we were having fun so I didn’t mind it too much.

Excellent service, live music, and food. We came on a Tuesday and it was amazing. The ambiance was beautiful and the live music was such a treat! You need to try the horse fries. The mystery beer was also soooo fun and a great deal. Clayton gave us amazing service. Definitely recommend.

A friend and I went to celebrate their birthday and it did not disappoint! It was busy at 6pm and they said it could take up to 40 minutes to get a table for us so they took my number. We were able to get a drink while waiting and within 10 minutes we got our booth which was an old horse stall! The food was fantastic, the cocktails were fabulous, and there was someone playing the piano. I can't wait to go again!

Maybe my expectations were too high. I've heard about the Horse Head for years, but this was my first time there. While I enjoyed it and will go back, I was a bit underwhelmed. The service was great. The atmosphere was good but the table and chairs looked a bit run down. Maybe that's part of the charm, but not what I expected. I expected something a bit more refined from what people have told me about their experience. The food was very good, bit came out cold and the portions were quite small. Especially for the price. $28 for a salad with steak tips. I ordered the full tips. I'm glad I didn't get the half! My wife had the fettuccini. It tasted great, but was a small bowl and was cold. We both left hungry after paying over $60 for food.

Charming speakeasy atmosphere with historic touches. Popular place for good reason. Gorgeous cocktails (Pistol Under the Pillow and Fast Track) scrumptious food and fantastic, friendly service with a sense of humor at the poker table. The sweet cream ice cream was best I have ever tried. Reservations recommended. Even the overflow parking was full, but we found street parking two blocks away. Steep stairs up to the restaurant/bar.

First time visit to Horse Inn and it was fabulous! Unique selection of dishes that are more than their "names" imply. The "ham & cheese" had housemade pimento cheese and collard greens with bacon. Super tasty. The cheese burger was excellent, well prepared and much more than you would find other places.Really good, crispy French fries. Beautiful setting; booths are horse stables. Friendly staff. 👍 2 important points when you go: * They do NOT take reservations so choose your time wisely or expect to wait. Our wait was only 15 minutes. * Parking is difficult. Permit parking only on their block. Small lot down the street gets filled quickly. You may have to search for a spot.

Although we waited awhile, we knew it would happen since we did not make reservations. A very western looking atmosphere with tons of people who are into drinking. Our hostess was amazing enough to seat just two at a table for 6, just so we wouldn’t have to wait much longer! Soon enough, a two seater opened up and we switched tables right away. Food was absolutely amazing!!! Drinks were superb and unique. The bartender was dressed fancy so you know the drinks were crafted with care. The burger and fries are a MUST!!! Definitely a place to go again for great food and an awesome atmosphere !
