Great place to eat! Only reason I went out of my way to leave a review though is bc this website has their prices listed way under what they actually are. Upon disputing my total, I was just told they don't have a website and they are aware the web has all of their prices listed incorrectly. What a shame.
Years of Great Food. I remember coming here with my parents as a child before MSU games (I'm 45 now and have loved it since I was 4). Amazing food. The onion rings are the bomb and have never changed. Unfortunately, they have changed their buns on the Hammy Sammy's and Smokey Joe's. The old buns were so much better, but can't really complain about the buns they use now, just different and not as good. There is nothing bad here. The fish, smelt, olive burger, french fries are all awesome. The Smokey Joe is to die for. Breaded mushrooms, etc.......... This is an amazing place to eat and for such a great price. But, bring the old buns back!
Local Sonic. Drive through concept is similar to Sonic but with better tasting burgers and a convenient tray that clips onto your window. The patty is a pretty good size and the fries are decent. If you like fries, order the Large as their medium felt a little skimpy. I did enjoy the Olive Burger but felt it was a little too heavy on the mayo for my tastes.
I do have to warn you, their Onion Rings have one thing going for them, you can take a clean bite without the whole onion dragging out. However, you mainly taste grease and very little onion. Maybe they didn't change out the oil that day?
Their Coney Dog is a cheap $1 add-on if you go on a Wednesday. Nothing too special and no "snap" upon first bite but worth it for a buck.
BEST FOOD EVER!. This is one of my favorite places to grab food. I wish I knew about this place sooner. I am not from the Lansing area so I had no clue. The food here is VERY GOOD and they have the BEST olive burger in town. This place is amazing. ALL the food here is very good. Please try the food here if you've never had it.
I always leave here happy and satisfied. The waitstaff is friendly. I've ordered just about everything on the menu and never been disappointed.
Good food and a fun time next to the park. Sometimes old speakers are hard to hear the kitchen.
Old time atmosphere with very good diner food. Hammy Sammy, smoky Joe, and olive burgers are my favorites. Onion rings just might be the best in town...very good! Prices are very reasonable! Worth a stop for sure!
I have heard so many times how incredible nip n sip is. I thought the burger was really good and the onion rings were pretty good but didn't have much flavor. My husband loved his chocolate shake, chili fries and double burger. I also ordered jalapeno poppers but didn't get to end up eating them. I asked for extra ranch but only got 1. Overall it was pretty good but nothing that I would go out of my way to go to again. Although I would like to try those jalapeno poppers cuz they were big and looked delicious! The price did end up being pretty decent though, I will say that!
Love their coney dogs! They installed new speaker menus! Glad they are sticking around cause you can't beat the food or the prices! Drive in, order, sit back and boom your food is delivered to your window. Very fond memories of being there with my Smith grandparents.
It lived up to its hype. Delicious, but not the healthiest since it's mostly deep fried. Onion rings & fish & chips were great. Olive burger was less so. Not bad, but chopped green olives didn't really enhance the taste of the burger, imo. Shared a chocolate malt, which was also very good. Bottom line, we ate so much food, we could hardly move for a few hours. It's definitely worth a try if this is your kind of food!
Love this place. Great food. Great prices. Absolutely love the Stacked Ham but have never had anything from here that wasn't delicious. Best root beer anyplace!
Best conveys hands down. Onion rings are a staple! Boston Cooler is like a root beer shake, although I think it's made with gingerale?... fries a good. Like the hammy Sammy if they don't drown it with condiments. They do the same with their burgers. So much mayo it's overwhelming. Good wing dings too! Wish it wasn't cash only!!
Established in 1954 with a reputation for really great burgers and onion rings. And don't forget the infamous Hammy Sammy. Carhops still bring your meal out for you. A nice piece of nostalgia for us "boomers"!

Love this place. Good burgers and other drive in favorites. Prices are really low. They only take cash no cards. Food comes out pretty quickly but if you want food faster you can call ahead and pick up your food at the pick up window. The malts here are really good as well!
Gone are the days of car hops n window trays. It was brown bagged Styrofoam containers with extra sweet rootbeer, gawd, where was the soda? I admit, my only complaint about my coney dog was they used to be cased, like Kogels. It was well done, chili was good, not overloaded with onions.
If it's gotta be reduced to no tray, no frosty mugs, can we at least use a more environmentally friendly take out medium. Paper everything?? Wooden tableware if needed??

A classic drive-in, cash only but fast and friendly. I had the Philly steak and was nicely full and my wife had the classic hammy Sammy. A local institution.
Haven't had bad service or food, good prices for what you get. Not a big chain or corporation so your money stays local.

Every time I come to Nip N Sip I leave 100% satisfied, and prices are great! Best drive thru/drive up and order. We need to support businesses' like this!
Me and my dad love nip and sip, it's been tradition that everytime I visit him in Lansing we have to stop at nip and sip. The service is always face and good and the young gals that work are always so polite. If you have a problem with nip and sip I think you should take a rain check on your mental health because this place has been around for years and I'll be damned if it goes away. Keep up the great work!!
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. The fish n chips is my go to...top notch. You get two fat flaky pieces, and I advise asking for the fries to be on the side.
Just discovered this little place and love it! Good, fun foods and reasonably priced. It’s neat to order outside at the speaker :)
