Best barbecue I’ve ever had in my life! I was reluctant to go to this barbecue place, because I have a change to try of barbecue places in Texas called Sonny’s BBQ. and it is fast food...but this is far from fast food , this is gourmet barbecue! I had all you can eat ribs I tried one side and everything was so delicious, the cornbread is like cake, so I had it for dessert after dinner also �.
We were assisted by a Friendly Staff led by Ms. Alice. Tiffany was Our Server and as always were treated with extreme care and concern about the taste of the food and a How's It Going Guys and she actually listened. She is the Best Wait Person to ever wait on Us from Sonny's.
I give Ms.Alice an A+++ for the Leadership she gives her Staff. And Tiffany (A+++)does represent Sonny's and Ms. Alice's Vision of Customer Service.
It was delicious and our waitress, Laura is the best ever! We go to Sonnys once a week, it's fun, the food is always good and the tea always fresh

First time at Sonny's, I'm from Philadelphia. I ordered shredded chicken and corn bread. The waitress, Melanie, recommend the cinnamon butter with it...Everything was Great especially the Service with a Smile

As usual food was excellent. Ok, one end rib was well done, but still tasty
We both got the sampler, sliced brisket and pork--both juicy. Dry rub ribs. We usually ask for dark meat chicken but forgot to ask. The breast meat was good. Will return.

I love sonnys bbq! First of all their all-you-can eat prices are unbeatable. Secondly, the variety is great! Third, all of the meat is absolutely delicious!!!!!!!! we will keep returning when we have a craving for good BBQ meat!
Me and my gf just ate here for the first time. Food was so good. We had a great first experience and Claudia was our server she was awesome. We will definitely be back !
It was just a few days after Hurricane Irma, the staff was so friendly to a community that was exhausted from no electricity, no air conditioning, no phones. It was a treat to be served by a sweetheart of a waitress who made sure we had all we needed and went home happy.
We came here on a Monday evening for dinner. There were 5 of us. We got 3 appetizers, a drink each a main entree each and a dessert to split. Food was fresh, fast and delicious! Our drinks came first and then our appetizers. Just the way we like it! Our waiter was so nice and we really enjoyed our visit! Thank you!

My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant!! Our waitress was on top of everything we needed! The food was amazing! I enjoyed the sliced brisket platter and my husband had the pulled pork platter! We both loved the sweet bbq sauce on our meat and for dessert we tried the cinnamon sugar covered fried doughnut holes dipped in a glaze that apparently was made with sweet tea!! My oh my everything was perfect! Keep up the awesome service and food we most definitely will dine here again!!

We had a great BBQ lunch here. Being from Texas, we have high expectations for BBQ. Sonny's didn't disappoint. Didn't give it five stars, because it's not our favorite place to get BBQ. However, four stars or higher are rarely given out by me for BBQ. The brisket was cooked just right. Especially for my order for lean. The chicken had a good flavor and was moist. I'm not the biggest fan of pulled pork and pork ribs, but both were very good. Finished both off; which I won't eat anything I don't like. I truly enjoyed the perfectly cooked broccoli and well seasoned green beans. There weren't any complaints by anyone in our party during our visit. That included with the friendly and professional staff members. I highly recommend Sonny's BBQ during your visit to the Tampa area.
I went for lunch today at Sonny's. I was greeted with a friendly smile and promptly seated. Megan was my server and she was excellent !! She explained the lunch specials and brought me my beverage quickly. The food was hot and delicious. I had baby back ribs, potato salad and baked beans. The portions were perfect size, the best ribs I have had in years. Even though they have great sauces, their ribs don't need any. The restaurant was very clean, well lite, very comfortable. You need to go to Sonny's and get you BBQ on !!!
