Came here for my husbands birthday we really enjoyed coming here. The only bad part was we were next to the bar and some people were being overly loud but besides that our experience was okay food was amazing the waitress was kind. I had a steak it was amazing the flavor of everything was just so divine.
We are here in Las Vegas to celebrate our 26th anniversary. Spent the day at the Grand Canyon and we were headed back to our hotel. We were hungry and tired, but wanted to have an anniversary dinner. I noticed the Bootlegger as we passed it on our way back to the strip. We turned around and went in and we were glad we did. We were told it would be a 2-2.5 hr wait for a regular table…but they got us into a high top in the bar in under 30 min. Our waitress was sweet as could be, and very helpful. We opted not to order an appetizer even though they all sounded delicious! The little garlic balls and sauce that came out before our entrees were little balls of heaven. I had the chicken parm and angel hair. It was perfect. My husband had linguine alla vongole (linguine with clams in a white sauce). He said it was amazing. For dessert we ordered cannolis(you get 2) and they were delicious! If you’re looking for great food just a few short minutes from the strip, give them a try. Highly recommend!
First time creating here and already plan on returning. Parking is plenty. The buildingvis beautiful. You are greeted by friendly host and hostesses. If you make reservations, you are seated quickly. The ambiance is somewhat romantic but also suitable for a business meeting. Starting with a super selection of martinis and mixed drinks ir beer. Lots to choose from. Food is priced well and not over-the-top. Have many Italian dishes to choose from, fresh fish, other seafood varieties, and appetizers plenty. Save room for desserts as they have a great selection of baked desserts and drinkable desserts. Definitely make time to visit The Bootlegger Italian restaurant. You will be happy I recommended it!
Bootlegger is so delicious. Family owned for almost 75 years. Amazing family history, and I am going to say that they had an impact on Las Vegas' beginnings. I definitely recommend 👌 if you want to step into history and enjoy delicious food.
As a European, I can confirm that this food is incredibly good 👍🏻
We live next to Italy and therefore spend a lot of time there (during the weekend or visiting friends).
I enjoyed the location, service and food. This was in my top 5 Italian dishes that I have eaten so far. Thank you and great work :)
Service was fantastic as was the atmosphere. The food was delicious but a little pricey. I'm pescatarian so the menu is limited for me as the use a chicken base for the marinara, but the salmon was hot, moist, well seasoned and delicious. The alfredo was perfectly creamy. Not to thick or runny. The bread bites were a little rubbery and slightly bland without marinara. My husband said the marinara was delicious. And the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake was superb! Overall excellent experience. Thank you!
Bootlegger is always a must when I’m in town. I have never been disappointed and recommend it constantly to everyone I know is going to be visiting Vegas. Word to the wise, make a reservation. Although the restaurant is large, it’s always packed.
Let’s start with their delicious martinis - always my go to as a starter drink. I’ve had the blood Orange and the Classico and they’re both tasty and strong. My favorite part of the meal is after you order your food they bring out the panetti and yummy red meat dipping sauce. No appetizer necessary, these little delicious squares of bread are all you need.
This last time we had the penne, pappardelle bolognese, and the baked penne. All very good size portions and very flavorful. The sauce on the pappardelle is creamy and slightly salty, so be careful of adding any additional Parmesan.
I wish I remembered our lovely servers name, but as usual our service was on point. Can’t wait to come again.
This has been a must eat every time we are in Vegas. Excellent service, food if phenomenal. The appi bread bites are so good, and I have eaten the lasagna for years, and it never disappoints
Finally had the chance to dine at The Bootlegger Italian Bistro in Las Vegas.
This place has a rich history that dates back to the early 1900s, when the grandparents of Chef Maria Perry migrated from Italy to Canada and became known as "The Bootlegger" for serving homemade wine during the prohibition era. Chef Maria and her husband Al Perry moved to Las Vegas in 1943 and opened their first restaurant in 1949, serving the legends of Hollywood and Las Vegas such as Howard Hughes, Frank Sinatra, Liberace, Elvis Presley and many others. Their daughter Lorraine, a singer and entertainer, joined them in 1972 to build The Bootlegger on her land at Tropicana and Eastern. Today, four generations of this dedicated Italian family continue the legacy of providing the finest food, drink, hospitality and entertainment to their guests.
The service was impeccable. Our server was smooooth, absolutely loved him he was friendly, attentive and witty. He recommended some of the best dishes on the menu, such as the Burrata.
He also brought us some of the panetti italiana (garlic bread) with dipping sauce, so delicious. He made sure that our drinks were always refilled and that we had everything we needed.
The food was delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous and satisfying.
For dessert, we had the chocolate cake which was heavenly.
The Bootlegger Italian Bistro is a historic Las Vegas landmark that offers a great dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, with photos of celebrities and memorabilia on the walls. The live music is entertaining and lively. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine and wants to enjoy a taste of old Vegas.
Las Vegas foodies rejoice with this fantastic italian gem! Located on South Las Vegas Blvd, this place offers amazing italian cocktails, full bar with ice cold draft beers on tap, and awesome piano bar entertainment nightly. In town for business, I brought my team here for dinner and drinks. The ambiance here is laid back and lit dimly. For dinner, I dined on the Classic Spaghetti with meatballs. These dishes served here are old school recipes. Let me tell...this place does not skimp on portions...it is a good portion you are served. An uber driver recommended this to me on my way to the hotel and I gotta hand it to him...he was spot on with this locale! Check em out!
I came here with my significant other for a nice early supper. The portions are plentiful, the food is enjoyable, the atmosphere is a bit situational. I noticed there are a lot of tables in their dining room and they are spaced fairly close together. We had a booth but it did not create the atmosphere of a date because it was very open to the dining room and the sound from other tables was not isolated. There's nothing wrong with this just don't expect a romantic date-like atmosphere; it's more of a family restaurant style (Italian!). I had the Scallopine di Vitello Piccata Style - loved it! The tangy lemon sauce with the eccentric capers peppered on top of perfectly cooked veal was enough to make a grown man cry after a full day's travel with no lunch. She got the salmon. The salmon, likely farm raised, was delicious along with the sautéed greens. I tried the whole grain spaghetti. It was whole grain spaghetti. I'm not really a pasta guy so I'll leave the pasta ratings to someone else. You do get some bread squares, oiled with herbs, complimentary. I'm torn about this really. Because you're going to get oil on your fingers if you eat it by hand and it's kinda awkward to eat with a fork. I'd recommend offering the bread plain and having the oil in a separate container or saucer for dipping just like the maranara sauce that comes with it. The water is really good; top notch. The waiters and waitresses were very observant and well positioned for assisting customers. They seemed to be aware of who had which customer and would notify them if the customer seemed to need something. The place seems like a very organized, well-oiled machine.
Food - everything was amazing. It's like you feel the love and time they put in it. Calamari was a little too salty. Creme brulee was perfect. Fried ravioli is the best.
Service - quick and efficient. Reservation at 6.30: called not later than. Our server was also very nice and shared some of the history behind the place.
Entertainment- free show to eat here?? Count us in!!! Wonderful voice on that Friday night.
Atmosphere - Busy, but filled with families and people enjoying the place, the company, and the food.
Notes: Try it all!
Old school Vegas feel with amazing food. The place is tight on space but I’d expect that given how highly recommended they are. Menu is expansive and all 11 at my table enjoyed what they had. My only complaint is about the bar, but to be fair they told me about so I knew it was policy so it didn’t impact my review or experience…most seats at the bar have a table top slot machine with a sign that reads “For active gamers only”. So if you want to have a drink before your table is ready you can’t do that at the bar.
What a fabulous dinner! A gem of a restaurant in Vegas. They had gluten free options labeled on their menu and were also very gracious about accommodating gluten-free variations on some other items on the menu. The creamy Veal Loraine, Scampi with Linguini (fresh prawns in a white wine sauce and house-made Maria’s herb butter, the Salmon, and a straight-forward pasta with marinara were all incredible dishes! Such attentive and gracious service within a cozy yet elegant, old-school Italian atmosphere. Loved it!
I must say Noel gave us an outstanding experience! His knowledge and confidence of the menu was truly appreciated. The entree I received which was lasagna was absolutely amazing. Thick and cheesy and exactly like homemade lasagna. The desert we chose was by recommendation of Noel’s which was the chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Outstanding!!! Every trip to Las Vegas Vegas we were going to Battista’s hole in the wall for Italian. After this visit, this will be the only Italian Restaurant we will entertain! As a business owner it is extremely important for the staff to feel confident of what product they are serving/selling and that is exactly what Noel did this evening!
Thank you,

Amazing place! Best meal I had in Vegas. Food is so so tasty and plating is just amazing. Nice IPA on tap also. Looking at other tables around me I can say that everything looks really good.
Had another fabulous dinner with the family. Each of us enjoyed our dinner very much. Food was delicious. Service was good. Busy for a Saturday early evening.
This place is a gem. From booking the reservation to the time we walked out the door. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was laid back and chill and the food was a little bit of heaven. We will be back. Thank you
Their meat ragu sauce to dip in with your garlic buns was so good. Stuffed mushrooms and calamari was to die for. Mainly their stuffed mushrooms! TOTAL YUM! I recommend getting their tomato sauce type of entrees. My friends all got creamy cheese chicken dishes. It was okay... Kinda sad. We realized they were known for their ragus and rigatoni. BIG SAD! But delicious.
