We went to Koi on our last night in town, our server was super nice and attentive! Some of our drinks/food were taking a bit longer to come out, which was fine with us because we were talking and catching up with friends, but they made sure to make up for the delay which we appreciated! Sushi was really good so were the desserts.
I don’t know why this place isn’t busier. We had a fantastic time at this restaurant. I guess the good thing about it not being busy is that you don’t have to wait in line just to be seated, whereas if you were waiting in the Ramsey burger joint downstairs you will probably starve before you get a table.
The service was top notch. Super friendly by all the staff we interacted with. Our server was just the right mix of being attentive without being bothersome.
The food was really delicious! We live in a city where sushi is abundant and world class so our expectations are high when we try sushi in other locations. Being that Las Vegas is a desert and not by any natural ocean, we were skeptical but Koi did not disappoint. Our food was so good and fresh tasting, we ended up ordering another roll after we finished our original order. The drinks were also spectacular.
So please give this place some love! I want it to still be here the next time we come to Vegas.
A cut above! The food is incredible. Staff is friendly and attentive which makes for seamless service. The manager is clearly attentive and ensured we were having a pleasant experience. As for the ambiance, we came for happy hour and felt like bosses above the casino floor while we had hot sake and some of the best sushi we’ve ever tasted.
The service here was AWESOME. We had a huge party and our server was fantastic and patient while we were chaotic and it made the experience great. Everyone loved their cocktails, and we ordered quite a few rolls and shared plates which everyone loved. Fan faves were the green beans, lobster tacos, salmon carpaccio, the sin city roll, and the crunchy red spider roll. And of course the crunchy rice!
Would definitely return here.
Sat at the bar and everything was so good and well expedited. Eddie took care of us and kept the food coming constantly! Try the rolls, the yellow tail, salmon and tuna sashimi were all excellent!
Amazing Vegas culinary experience! We got the Koi Night Out Menu for $129 per couple. Value was amazing considering that every dish surpassed my expectations both from taste and portions. The service was also amazing. We ordered red wine with dinner - Sebastian Cabernet Sauvignon which paired well with this meal. Definitely worth trying!
This restaurant is so underrated. The food and service were great! Sad that the front of the restaurant doesn’t look as appealing as the back. The main dinning room is gorgeous and has a great vibe. Again food was 10/10. Delicious sushi!
The afternoon started out on a bad foot. Our usual Sushi restaurant was closed for renovation. We were at a loss for where to go. Thankfully, a gentleman nearby informed us about Koi Las Vegas. We made the treck through the heat over to Planet Hollywood and up the escalator to Koi (Next to the Chris Angel show). We took advantage of the Happy Hour menu. We enjoyed some great drinks and an order of California Roll and the Creamy Shrimp Tempura. The shrimp was probably the best shrimp I've ever tasted. And the California Roll was delishious. We will definitely be going back.
Loves it! I had salmon and it was very good, one of the best I've ever had. My wife got sushi and she loved it. Our waiter was awesome and gave great recommendations. We will return next time we are in Vegas.
Sorry about the pic; I started eating before remembering I was supposed to take a pic. We came here last year and absolutely fell in love; this visit was just as great. I got the ginger salmon again. It's cooked flawlessly and I love the bed of veggies that it is served on. I also got the miso soup and a green bean appetizer (I forgot what it's called), both of which about knocked my socks clean off.
The restaurant is dark, but in a good, intimate way, and I liked the music (throwback 2000's to my recollection). Andy was our server and took care of us well. We ended things with the creme brûlée and not a plate was left un-cleared. It's truly the perfect dinner spot for us.
Pros: Excellent attentive service and a very romantic atmosphere in the bar. Happy hour was great. Drinks were delicious. Dessert (flourless torte) was probably one of the best I've had.
Cons: Food was good but was expecting a little higher quality. Don't get me wrong we enjoyed it and would go there again.
Where to begin, KOI! Simply amazing. The service, the food, the atmosphere. It’s a toss up as to which was the best. Start with the atmosphere, it may be one of the only places in Las Vegas to have a quiet/romantic meal, even the priciest steakhouses can be as loud as the strip. The food, coming from Seattle located on puget sound we have some of the finest seafood in all of the world and a heavy influence of Japanese culture in our local cuisine. Koi hands down beats any sushi restaurants in the Seattle area. The fish was fresh, the rice was perfectly cooked. The flavors blended nicely but were all still subtly noticeable. The crab salad was real crab and not seafood salad. Last but not least was the service. I hate to say I don’t recall our servers name however I assure you the service was five stars. He and his staff made sure we felt totally taken care of. It was my girlfriends birthday dinner and sushi is her favorite. From the special champagne accommodated for us to the miniature birthday cake and the wonderful conversations with the staff you can not find better then koi! Simply put my girlfriend had the #BestBirthdayEver thank you Koi.
If you’re looking for a great tasting, hip and romantic sushi place in Vegas, this is the place to go. The restaurant has a club vibe, and it does turn into a club sometimes. High quality, fresh sushi and fish. I’d recommend getting anything at this restaurant, you can’t go wrong with that. If you are early to your reservation, you can just go sit at the bar, order drinks, and they have first come first serve couches where you can serve a limited amount of appetizers. They have a happy hour everyday before 7. Friendly staff and great service too.
Was looking for a tasty dinner after a pool day and stopped by Planet Hollywood. I was immediately drawn to the Koi sign because I had been to a restaurant of the same name in Maui. I asked a guy at the front stand if this was the same chain and he confirmed. I knew immediately that I wanted to try this location and see if it was just as good. The guy gave me a coupon for but 1 get 1 appetizers which I thought was great customer service on his part.
I went upstairs to the restaurant and sat at the bar. I found out it was happy hour so instead of using my coupon I opted for the happy hour menu and gave my coupon to some ladies sitting next to me. I ordered the dumplings and the creamy shrimp. Both were really good.
As I was finishing my meal, I overheard someone asking about a patio. So I asked the bartender about it. He offered to escort me there. He took me out to a really nice balcony. It was empty but a great spot to see the strip and the sunset.
I really liked this location and will be back.
Great service and decent pricing, but nothing special about the sushi. Came here for dinner and our server was awesome. She was very attentive and took care of us. Surprisingly one of the cheaper options for sushi, but it really wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Still good, but nothing special
Last minute booking but don’t regret it at all! The sashimi was fresh and the rolls very tasty.
Beautifully decorated and very friendly service.
Definitely a recommend and must try!
If you go… try the crispy rice. Really that good. Everything tasted great, service was friendly and attentive. Place needs some updates. Has like an empty night club vibe. But the crispy rice….
Amazing food. They nailed the flavors and textures they were going for and are unique to them. Prices were reasonable for the exceptional quality of the food. Restaurant was nice and quiet, a pleasant retreat from the casinos. Wait staff was on top of it with drink refills and explaining the dishes. Will definitely visit if I ever go back to Vegas again!
