You can't skip this bakery once you're in Vegas. After all it's the house of cake boss. I passed by after dining in the facing mother restaurant Buddy V's and grabbed a chocolate brownie, chocolate chips cookie and the chocolate mousse bomb. All were exceptionally tasty and super fresh. Clearly the used ingredients are of premium quality. They have a wide variety of cakes and other special goodies. Prices are on the high end but that's expected in Vegas especially at stars establishments.
I’ve been watching the show “Cake Boss” for nearly two years and 3 weeks ago I saw this bakery in real life and entered. I did’t really had high expectations because I just thought that it was only a stupid bakery that was only popular because of the show, not the taste. But when I ate the red velvet cake, I got why Carlo’s was so popular. This cake is a must. You should add it to your bucket list. :)
After being a fan of Carlo’s Bakery for so many years, it was a dream come true to eat here! Lovely service, great coffee and a cannoli we will never forget the taste of - it was absolutely divine! Something for everyone, so a great bakery.
Cannoli here is the best! So much excitement coming here in Las Vegas. From watching Buddy on cake boss in New Zealand to actually trying his Cannoli and pastries. Hazelnut Lobster tail was my favourite!
Carlos Bakery is by Celebrity Baker Buddy V who is also well known for his reality TV Show called "Cake Boss." where contestants try to bake goods and they get "knocked out" one by one by leaving and Buddy says...(in his New Jersey Accent)...."OFF to the BOX Truck..Baby." Here is a slight recreation of his original New Jersey Bakery here in Las Vegas at the Venetian on the Las Vegas Strip. The Bakery offers a few Italian Pastries but mostly cupcake cakes and cookies. They sell some odds and ends like T-shirts for tourist. I tried an Italian Hazelnut filled Lobster Roll. The pastry was really good and was shattering crisp like raw spaghetti. The filling didn't have much taste to it and reminded me of cool whip. They don't sell rolls or breads like a real bakery does.
Cake boss was a sensational bake show and here is the carlo's bake shop where you can try the desserts which displayed on the show. Their best seller was the canoli which actually puff pastry filled with varied cream flavor. I try the chocolate one, although it'd being refrigirated but still crispy. I also try the logo cookies, tiramisu with lots of coffee liqueur flavor and dark choco mousse cake. Although it was a little bit pricy for an individual cakes price but it was worth to try. The location also near the canal and across the buddy's restaurant. When you spend more than 25 $ then you'll get buddy's key chain as souvenir.
Locates in the Venetian, tucked in the back corner of the canal shoppes across from Buddy V's restaurant. Tons of beautiful and yummy desserts to choose from. This location was way less busy than the one I went to in NYC. I got the eclair and chocolate mousse puff and both of them were delicious.
We had to stop here, because Cake Boss, and it was pretty good. I was a total pig and got a vanilla cupcake, a red velvet cupcake, a Halloween cupcake, an eclair, and a cannoli (judge away). By far the best items were the cannoli and the red velvet cupcake. They were both easily the most delicious confections I've ever had. The rest was purely mediocre. The bakery has large windows so you can see the crew preparing different items, which was just as exciting as eating the food.
We decided to try this place (which is basically a take out outlet although there is a small bench with a few stools to eat in) because we saw a huge line up and wondered what all the fuss was about. We learned that the man behind all the baking was the Cake Boss from the TV show. We tried a number of things, including the chocolate cup cakes and a mousse mini cake, and they were all good (certainly above average) but nothing knocked my socks off completely. Given the celebrity status of the chef though, it was worth trying.
Lovely baked goods, but less enjoyable experience as the layout is awkward. It's very busy and the way the lines are set up we didn't get an opportunity to look in all the cases before ordering- we felt pressure to be very quick. I'd have bought more had I had the chance to look first. We weren't disappointed with the baked goods though. The cannoli was wonderful.
I really really really love their red velvet cupcake. The cupcake itself is moist and chocolatey and lovely. The icing is fluffy and not too sweet. It's heaven on earth!!!! The only thing i hate is that the line gets hella long..... Takes about 30-60mins just to get some desserts :( expand please!!! More stores in the west coast...
Once 2pm hit on Sunday, November 15th, 2015, it was time to meet up with my Team Challenge crew in the lobby at the LINQ. From there, we would assemble onto buses and head off to the starting line of our 13.1 mile journey running the Strip at night!. After taking pictures we anxiously waited on the buses. Team Challenge had a special deal with the race organizers: we were the only ones allowed to drive on the blocked-off course in order to be dropped off at the starting line.
its SWEETS!!! very had to go wrong
if I would have a complaint (which I dont) - there were soooo many options to select from hard to narrow down to just 1 or 2
next time I have to stop here when we have a group so we can try and share more things
Thank you! I come from an Italian area of Michigan and there is not one place that sells nice crispy cannolis freshly filled.
This is like a dream come true.
The crowd is kinda annoying, but the lobster tail and cannolis are right on, if you're at the Venetian skip all other desserts and hit Carlos for sure.
The ordering process is a bit odd, but it works. We got the red velvet cake to go, it was a bit dry, but I find that often happens with red ever cake. I would try something else next time. It all looks very fresh! I would have loved a seating area. We were big fans of the show and excited to try it out!
My lobstertail had a crunchy outer pastry, but it didn’t have the tenderness of a Neapolitan sfogliatella. The cream inside was pure French pastry cream (vanilla, egg, sugar, cream.) Not like the Neapolitan version (milk, semolina, orange, cinnamon, vanilla.) It was tasty, just not what I had hoped for. Next, I ordered a classic canollo. Its shell was nicely crisp, not soggy as sometimes happens with pre-filled canolli. The filling was very smooth in texture, but the consistency was a little too thick. I’m not sure, but there may have been some starch added to get that consistency. As with the lobstertail, it tasted good, but this was very different from Sicilian canolli.
I ate at the standup bar along the wall.
Great tasting cakes and pastries. Ordered the rainbow cake - I've heard that since this is a packaged cake that it wasn't as good as a fresh cake but I disagree. The rainbow cake is one of my favorites besides the canoli. Still fresh, still moist. Fast service and conveniently located in the Palazzo.
Love this place! Wonderful display of goods but missing the family appeal of the one in Jersey! Happy to see them here in Vegas!! Chocolate tart was amazing!! Definitely worth the trip!!
We watched the shows and out of curiosity. We would love to try it and see what other option take home and didn’t not disappoint us. We got the 5 pack cannoli bundle and more regular cannoli 😅 and it was so delicious is not overly sweet or overly powering just right matching with warm tea or coffee.
The service was great and I will definitely be coming back here when I go to Vegas!!!!
Everything I have tried at this bakery is so good!!! The cannolis are so crisp and creamy. The lobster tail is so good. The filling on the lobster is delicious. The chocolate cake was worth the calories.
I finally got the chance to stop by and try these delicious treats. It was a Wednesday evening, not busy. We tried the lemon cheese cake, a canoli, and carmel latte tart. All very good. Total was about $30 for the three treats.
Exactly as i thought it would be, large selection of pastries and cakes, all perfectly made and displayed. Make sure you have a classic cannoli. Thank you to River who served us and sorted out a small mistake on my order very quickly. You must go here when visiting the Vegas strip.
Delicious treats
Vending machine has many locations. This one is in Planet Hollywood at the south side of the miracle mile entrance located by earl of sandwich. I've also saw machines in horseshoe/Paris shops and also Harrahs
Yeara ago I used to bingewatch Buddy/Cakebosa’ show like it was a job and as he edpanded I assumed theres no way it could be good bc its now so “commercial”
I finally had a chance to have one of their traditional cannolis TODAY while in Vegas and OMG it did NOT disappoint
Sorry i was 3/4 done before I decided to post a review and share a pic
I have no idea what it cost bc I had that and a slice of cake (separate review) and it was $20 and I didn’t ask for an itemized receipt.
If you happen upon a Carlo’s do yourself a favor and stop in! You will not be disappointed. I will have to try their famous lobster claw next time.
It’s a nice bakery. I don’t know why their rating is poor. Don’t judge by the rating, and give them a try. We took out some coffee and breakfast. The coffee was basic. The savoury ham and cheese croissant was excellent to start the day, followed by the chocolate croissant, lobster tail and the cannoli. We loved all of them, however, the cannoli was best in the lot.
I finally made it to this famous bakery, not the original, but still awesome to me. It was a blast to checkout all the cool treats. We ended up getting a few cupcakes and a few cookie sandwiches. The staff was friendly and professional and they had our order prepared quickly even though it was busy. The price was decent by Vegas standards, but I’ll have to admit the deserts were a bit of a disappointment. The cupcakes were dry and the cookies tasted like a standard grocery store item. I did have fun an and enjoyed everything but I’m afraid this a one and done for me. Hopefully I can get up to the original location one day.
