This is my new favorite restaurant in Las Vegas! I highly recommend repeat visits to sample their varied fusion Japanese-Italian menu. This hybrid cuisine may sound strange but will make total sense when it awakens your taste buds. On my first visit I had their signature Uni Spaghetti - perfect with a glass of Chianti. Wine, sake and beer menu is excellent and staff is very friendly. For me Trattoria Nakamura Ya is one of the crown jewels of the off-Strip restaurant Renaissance we are having in Vegas. Go tonight! Can't wait to return again and again!

The food is a Japanese and Italian fusion. We have ordered two pasta, both are very creative and original. I have a seafood pasta with a few traditional Japanese ingredient including明太子. They use Japanese animination music for background. It's an amazing experience to be here.

A unique fusion restaurant of two of my favorite cuisines! We had the Waygu carpaccio followed by squid ink pasta and the waygu meat & tomato cream sauce pasta and each dish was exceptionally delicious! Not to mention the service was great! Can't wait to go back the next time we visit Vegas!

One of the best hidden gems of the town! If you love food and are an adventurous eater, then definitely stop by. Go for Creamy Tomato and Uni pasta and stay for the desserts!

Delicious food fusion. Kinoko creamy meat spaghetti and Takana spaghetti are oh so tasty. Friendly service, quite reasonably priced, quaint and well worth my recommendation.

What a Jem. Really interesting "foodie" experience. The strip mall space in Las Vegas's China Town is in stark contrast to the experience. The food was great. Nice beer and wine pairings. Just minutes off the Las Vegas Strip.

For a very long time I been wanting to go here, but I feel like I need to bring someone along because you want to try a lot of their dishes and because they are in the pricey side. This is the moment I have been waiting for. Thank you, friends and family, for the meal. ( I know I ordered the most expensive one but for REVIEWS!) Linguini Uni Tomato Cream Sauce is a must. It's a decadent dish that melds sweetness with the rich creamytomato sauce and briny flavor. The italian and japanese fusion just make sense, its perfection. Also, the Hamburg Steak is a must try as well reminds me of my childhood. My mom used to cook this, and I would put the gravy on the rice, not the steak. Lastly, the Bruschetta Nakamura-ya style is beautifully presented and can not be missed.

Nice hole in the wall restaurant. Different experience with the italian/oriental flavors. The shrimp scampi and mushrooms sauce was very good with nice flavors. The carpaccio with a white truffle oil was okay but I didn't feel like the two paired well together or the truffle oil was overpowering all the other flavors. Also tried the crab cream coquette which was very creamy and good. Would try this place again in the future.

Trust the Chef Specials and the recommendations on the board. Great Japanese Italian Fusion food items. Items that are standouts: Uni Pasta and Chilean Sea-Bass. Baby Octopus Karaage and Takoyaki. The Dessert Sampler was wonderful as well - just right in portion size and sugar level (flavorful and not overly sweet). This restaurant is worthy of return visits.

Was in Vegas for a work event with my husband for 4 nights. I read up on all these wonderful Japanese restaurants that seem to be serving much more authentic Japanese food than here in SF. Once I read the description of this place I was transported back to my homeland in Japan where I used to eat Italian-Japanese food. Cod roe, mustard leaf, Japanese mushrooms, and the combination of eggplant and bacon in tomato sauce is a dead giveaway that this is à la Japanese. Tried to go for lunch and it just so happened that day was closed for some maintenance and I was depressed. Had to go to next door Monta Ramen and settle there which turned out to be not a bad choice. Last evening I was free from work event which meant it was my last chance and coincidentally friends from Honolulu were in town too and we gave it a go. So many pastas I wanted to try but in the end I chose uni tomato cream sauce and hubby got squid ink with extra topping of uni on top. OMG good and nostalgic for home.

Excellent place for seafood and they offer a nice cheese selection. Had shrimp dumplings on my last visit, what a treat that was. On the menu, squid ink pasta.

We had a team dinner here on a recent trip to Vegas - Holy amazing fusion dishes, Batman!! The combinations of Asian and Italian influences was so well executed and DELICIOUS!! Try the Risotto (Japanese barley base) and ANYTHING with a miso cream sauce. Just WOW! I wasn't fond of the sausage app - oddly similar to hot dogs cut in a fancy way.

This place is amazing - such a cool and well-done fusion restaurant for very reasonable prices. I got one of the carbonaras with spicy roe and tried the takoyaki and dessert sampler, and all of it was really such a pleasure but the dessert was my favorite! The waitress was super friendly and accommodating. I would come back here every time I visit Vegas.

Loved this place! Saw it by chance and after discovering japanese/Italian fusion during a previous trip to Japan, knew we had to go. The uni tomato cream was amazing, and the presentation of the dishes was lovely. Try the homemade iced matcha tea!

We were so surprised and delighted to find this Japanese-Italian fusion restaurant as we had become a bit obsessed with these fusion dishes on our trips to Japan. Trattoria Nakamura-Ya did not disappoint! Everything was cooked to perfection with great textures and flavors. If you've never had Japanese-Italian fusion, you must give this place a try. Don't be afraid, even if the combinations seem strange at first (I'll admit I did not think sausage and seaweed pasta could be so delicious). On top of the great food, the service was super friendly and attentive. We will be back to try the rest of the menu :)

Every single bite was phenomenal. Pictured is the Chilean Sea Bass they had on special, it was the best piece of fish I have ever had. The fettuccine with tomato cream sauce was very different from anything I've had before, and very tasty. Appetizers I had were: Bruschetta, mussels escargot style, Italian spring roll. Every bite of everything was exciting. 3 different types of beuschetta and 3 different types for the mussels, I don't have a clear favourite, they were all incredible delicious. I am not exagerrating when I say I cried after the first bite of the sea bass. Actual tears. It was so tasty. I will be coming back, I am really looking forward to it

Great food. This is an Italian-Japanese fusion restaurant. Japanese Chef made delicious Italian food with some Japanese ingredients. There are a variety selection of pasta to choose from as well as delicate appetizers. We ordered 3 appetizers 2 main dishes and a dessert sampler. The amount of work the kitchen staff put in to bring out these awesome dishes were unmeasurable. Definitely will return and try other dishes.

Excellent service. Excellent food. A very cozy atmosphere. The food was exceptionally good! The portion may look small but it definitely fills you up! The Hamburg Steak is amazing with the sauce they have. The spaghetti dishes are tastefully delicious! The garlic bread is buttery smooth with a soft crunch. The octopus karaage is such a nice side. I would highly recommend the octopus karaage if you love karaage. We came here with no reservations and were seated quite quickly. I'd recommend reserving if you have a bigger group(more than 4 people). We arrived here on a Saturday evening at around 630pm and the parking lot is very tight and busy. So, plan ahead when coming here as parking spaces are very limited. Overall, we had a great experience with the food. The waiter was super nice and super helpful. We consistently got our waters refilled and the waiter was super helpful with food and appetizer options. Customer service is excellent here, easy 11/10 for customer service. I would highly recommend coming here if you're craving something different to satisfy your taste buds.

A local favorite. Everything tastes superb! The pasta is al dente, the seafood is fresh, and the flavors are perfect. For appetizers we had bruschetta and mussels escargot style. For main we had seafood pescatore and squid ink pasta (both pastas are highly recommended). For dessert we had the sampler.

Excellent Tokyo-style Italian cuisine. So many items to choose from and it makes sense that both Japanese and Italian go great together. I had the squid ink mochi mugi risotto topped with uni and I've been missing it since. The staff are polite and professional. They are following current Covid guidelines. Recommended.

Favorite dish: uni pasta with tomato cream sauce with grilled scallop Scallops were cooked perfectly. The uni tomato cream sauce was amazing. The sauce is sooo creamy and decadent. The pasta could have been cooked a little bit longer to be softer but that’s a personal presence.

If you love Garlic you have to eat at this place. Not gonna lie, I would drive to this place just for the fresh Garlic Bread. The 3 other people in my group ordered 2 pieces each because it was that good. I loved their Ginger salad dressing and my friend said the Miso was really good too. It was an interesting fusion of Japanese and Italian cuisine. My Clam Fettuccine dish with Garlic was the best main dinner dish (IMO) and our meal was about $200 for 4 people with drinks.

In A Nutshell: -If you are looking for a very special treat, something different than your usual fare, you need to come experience the food at Trattoria Nakamura-Ya. -This unusual merging of Japanese & Italian cuisine is masterful. -Located in what I call the, "Japanese All-Star Plaza" aka Seoul Plaza off of Spring Mountain Road in Chinatown (yeah I know that was a lot of description), you'll find this tiny restaurant. -It's best to make a reservation if you can. -The staff made it easy for you to order their 10 most popular items on a chalk board. -I ordered the most famous dish, which is the Linguini Uni Tomato Cream Sauce w/ the added Grilled Scallop. -The amount of sweet & smooth Santa Barbara uni is plentiful mixed w/ piping hot al dente linguini noodles. -For the appetizer, I tried 3 of their Fried Oysters w/ the Chef's Special Tartar Sauce. -I beg to argue that the tartar sauce is just as good if not better tasting then the oyster! SO SO DELISH. -To wash it all down, I tried the Japanese Coedo Shiro Hefeweizen beer. -I normally like to drink my beer from the bottle, but I highly recommend that you pour the highly carbonated wheat beer into the cold glass they give you. -The bathroom is very clean & true to being Japanese, there is a clean functioning bidet toilet, which will detect your presence. Overall, I am going to be a regular at this very unique Tokyo Style Italian restaurant!!!
